I hate writing 1 star reviews, but I couldn't bring myself to be completely generous here. The…read moreexpression "you get what you pay for" proved true, unfortunately. This place legitimately deserves at least 1 star for the good customer service and plethora of food and dessert items. Our table was cleared of plates often, and our drinks were always replenished. That aside, however, my experience here was less than suitable. The quality of the food was mostly poor-not the way it was cooked or prepared, but in the general temperature of each item I sampled. Oddly, all the hot items had steam coming out from them. But that seemed to be merely for looks and was probably from the boiling water below each food counter, amplified by heat lamps. Even the freshest items coming out were room temperature at best. Some items obviously need to be kept cool, like the sushi, oysters, and other types of raw fish they served, so I understand it can be hard to entertain the needs of all entrees. Nevertheless, there is still major room for improvement. Additionally, the restaurant was cold and the AC was blasting, so this might've contributed to the lack of acceptable food temperature. I sampled their sushi, crawfish, oysters, tilapia, chow mein, their cheesy crab casserole, chicken drumsticks, multiple types of shrimp, multiple types of mussels, fried octopus, and clams to name a few. The items meant to be kept cold were okay. But even some cold items like the sushi were not fresh and tasted overly fishy. I went during a busy Saturday night, leading to a parking lot that was packed. And there ISN'T plenty of parking like another review mentioned. I was fortunate enough to snag 1 open parking spot semi near the entrance, but multiple vehicles behind me were circling the lot endlessly. What's more, the restaurant had a B rating. This is not your typical decent grade on an exam paper. Simple research shows this is indicative of potentially several things. "Common Reasons for a B Rating Pest issues: Finding signs of mice, rats, or insects. Temperature control: Failing to keep hot food hot or cold food cold. Sanitation habits: Poor handwashing or improper food handling. Maintenance lapses: Broken equipment, dirty surfaces, or missing ceiling tiles." I can note that other reviewers witnessed roaches in the bathroom, and while I didn't see anything like that I did experience dish temperature issues. I took several photos of the items they serve, and while they might look appealing in pictures, well... consumer beware. Eat at your own risk. I hate to say it, but the fast food I had earlier in the week tasted better than my meal here.

The restaurant is big, very spacious and has casual yet pretty elegant look to it. They've been there before, and it was my first time I liked the ambiance and appreciated the friendly and attentive staff. We aimed for mostly the seafood, fresh poke/sushi, and hot Chinese dishes. They were delicious. I saw the grilled satay, short ribs, and mackerel, but I didn't try because they looked dry sitting on the hot tray for a while maybe those need to be made to order. The large beef rib was tender and delicious and tasted similar to nilaga or lauya (Filipino style beef soup). I was surprised to see character baon there--so cute that I had to take a pic! How much they charge is worth all that. The staff does bring out their tambourines and sing happy birthday when requested. They'll also store cake in the fridge for you. Will most likely go back there for another occasion.

Since this is an all-you-can-eat restaurant, I initially expected someone to seat me, but I was simply told to find any available table and start eating. That was perfectly fine with me. The food selection included several salads, meats, and other dishes, but unfortunately, nothing really stood out. Overall, I found the food fairly average. The main reason for my two-star rating, however, was what happened when I paid. My bill was around $36.50. I paid cash with one $20 bill and four $5 bills, for a total of $40, and told the cashier to keep the change. What made me uncomfortable was that almost immediately after I handed her the money--while she was still saying "Have a good day"--she pulled out a counterfeit-detection pen and started checking my bills right in front of me. I understand that businesses may have policies for checking cash, and I have no problem with a restaurant protecting itself against counterfeit money. However, the way this was handled felt unnecessarily uncomfortable and somewhat insulting. She could easily have waited until I had stepped away before checking the bills instead of immediately testing them in front of me as soon as I handed them over. I was not rushing out of the restaurant or behaving suspiciously in any way. Of course, I have never knowingly used counterfeit money. The whole interaction simply left me feeling as though I was being treated with suspicion for no apparent reason. If checking cash is standard procedure, I can understand that. But customer service also matters, and there are more discreet ways to handle it without making a paying customer feel accused or embarrassed. Between the average food and this unpleasant experience at checkout, I can only give this restaurant two stars.

It's definitely appropriate to get your grub on after a long, hard workout! If you like seafood, this place is for you. There are several different types of sushi, shrimp, fish, and other shellfish. There are also the typical Chinese food buffet items like: Fried rice Lo mein Orange chicken Beef & broccoli Honey walnut shrimp Pepper chicken (delish and crunchy) Veggie egg rolls Teriyaki chicken Fried chicken wings (delish) Pot stickers Cheese wontons Chicken on a stick Sesame balls Fried plantains For the kids: Cheese pizza McDonald's style chicken nuggets French fries Ice cream sandwiches (delish) Ice cream in a cup There is also a hibachi grill. The meat cut of the hibachi steak was (I'm pretty sure) sirloin steak. Great selection of sauce/vegetables to add on. The amount and variety of food choices here is very impressive. Hot food and sushi quality were good. I'm also dazzled that they had Blue Ribbon ice cream sandwiches (they were so good, I had 3)!! Service is good, they're prompt at refilling drinks and taking dirty plates. My only gripe here is that they did not have beef short ribs (Yelpers' pics in other Flaming Buffet locations had this). However, for $18/person for all day weekend buffet and all of the food options, you really can't go wrong and still a very good deal!!

The kitchen only put out one tray each time so good luck in getting some because the first four (4) people in line pretty much took them all. LoL I was the fourth one in line and just took whatever was left on the tray, which wasn't much! But there were plenty of other choices and there's something for everyone. Restaurant was super crowded but service was good since there were many employees. Someone's review here on Yelp says it's $12.5 for lunch & couple dollars more for dinner. That's incorrect. I would recommend you go during the week, the lunch cost per person is only $17.99 (this is in June of 2026). I spent $31.60 for one person with no soda, only water. Sodas are extra.

So driving from Chino hills to Long Beach I was looking for a place to eat and I was planning on eating at the Bellflower Norms. I was looking for the Bellflower Norms restaurant when I saw the Golden Corral sign on the 91 freeway. I decided to go to Golden Corral because GC has all the menu items that Norms has for s Senior Early Bird, which ends at 4:00 and I got there about 3:20 and at 4:00 Golden Corral brings the dinner menu out, like the steaks. So I ended up eating at Golden Corral. My server, Marco. has been working for Golden Corral for 8 years. He says he's 35 and this is only his second job in his whole life. I said wow you don't look for other jobs? Golden Corral must treat you very well for you to stay here so long. He says he's not the kind to look elsewhere that he does his best at each job and that's what matters. He's working hard now as I speak this review. They got a good employee in him. The price for senior early bird was expensive $17.99. The last senior early bird I ate was $12.99 and that was only last year but it was in Arizona. The food is the same as the other locations. I thought the Sirloin was kind of tough in that every piece I cut off and chewed I had to spit out the gristle No piece today was tender enough to swallow The clam chowder is always good it's very thick. Some of the bins look kind of dried up like the white fish the edges are all dried up but that's what you get at a buffet. My drink, which is included in the senior early bird, tasted delicious because I mixed horchata with root beer half and half it was like a root beer float. All in all I would rate this Golden Corral 3.5 stars.

The roast chicken especially was very moist and well seasoned, the baked fish light and also flavorful. Hubby liked the fried shrimp and the chicken soup, my daughters and I liked the collard greens, broccoli, baked sweet potatoes and cheese pizza. The hit of course is the steaks grilled to order. Not easy keeping such a place tidy and stocked but it's pretty good. Bathrooms could use a little help but with the volume of patrons going through it's understandable.
