Terrible experience the food was disgusting the shakes taste like cheap ice cream honestly a disgusting place do not recommend for any sane person read more

Came in Sunday the 28 and it's the 30th and my husband and I are still dying of food poisoning. The worst quality shake shack location ever. Ordered my burger well done and it was still pink in the center. read more

Burgers are very small and taste is average. 12$ for a burger that wouldn't even feed my little. Won't be coming back

$40 for 2 burgers, 2 drinks, and a fried pickle. We got "lettuce wrapped" instead of a bun and what a disappointment. The lettuce would've been better and more crispy if it were iceberg. The meat was super dry and had zero flavor/seasoning. I spent $1.29 to add crispy onions and not an onion in sight. The fried pickle was crunchy on the outside, but undercooked on the inside. My husband is a fan of Shake Shack, and he said they didn't cook the burger properly. Perhaps could be opening woes, but we were not impressed at all. Expensive for mediocre food. Blah. read more

The fries were cold, the cold drink was hot and I ordered a double burger and got a single. Not a great first visit

Terrible overpriced food! I paid twice the amount of nearby restaurants and got burgers with NOTHING on it! If I had not been in the drive thru I would have returned. Was charged $30 for inedible food. Will not make the mistake again. Habit is right across the street half the price and tastes 100 times better! read more

If you want to spend $45 for 2 people to get food poisoning, this is your place. Drive thru took 20 mins (only one car in front of us at the window). No condiments came on my burger. read more

Walked in and no one took our order for almost 15 minutes. Someone said he's been waiting 45 minutes for his food. Drive thru slow AF. Hire more people!!! read more

We waited in the drive thru for 45 mins for 1 burger with no apology and they said they couldn't do a vegetarian burger because it was frozen. When we asked why everything took so long they said because they were taking breaks. read more

Food is fine. Although, the service takes way too long. Everytime I've come they are always "out" of fried pickles... One time had us pull over and wait for our food, they forgot about us. Had to go in and remind and then they gave us fried pickles that we tried to order originally as a sorry for free. read more

This took way to long for fast food. Food was fine but not 45 minutes worth of good. The vibe was not there not great.

2 adults and 1 kid $55. We will not be back here. In and Out burger is better. This is all I have to say about that.

This place is incredibly expensive and the wait times in the drive thru are absolutely ridiculous. I don't want to wait 30+ mins for a bacon burger! And they didn't have avocado for an avocado bacon burger and still wanted to charge full price for it. read more

I tried this shake shack location for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I have only ever had it at airports prior. I was very disappointed in the burger size for the price. I was also disappointed that they were advertising a seasonal banana shake that I was excited to try. I asked for it in the drive thru and they said they didn't have it that day. It was on their menu, no paper or anything saying they're out. What do you mean you don't have it? It was noon. Anyway. I had been planning to make this place a regular stop, but I can't say when I'll be back again. I'd rather go to five guys or in n out. read more

Waited in the car queue for 20 minutes before someone even asked "have you been helped?" I was eager just to get home. On arriving home, the double I ordered was a single, the shakes were melted and one of my orders of fries were missing. I paid $60 for this experience for a family of 3. DO NOT GO to the Shake Shack in Surprise, AZ. It's a scam, the employees obviously don't know what they're doing, and it is INCREDIBLY over-priced. I hope the In-N-Out opening soon will put it out of business. read more

Always liked Shack Shack. Whenever we were in Scottsdale we went there frequently for lunch. Always good. Tried the Surprise store today and it was terrible. There were lot of people standing around waiting for a table. Tables were dirty. Many unhappy faces. Ordered our food on the tablets and waited at least 30 minutes to finally get our order. Ordered two Shack Burgers , fries, and a lemonade. The burgers were very small ,dry and cold. There was one ketchup dispenser but it didn't work. Fries were also cold and the lemonade was very diluted. Never going back. In n Out is way better for half the price. read more

They have issues. The price is very high. Order.taken incorrectly. The staff is lacking training. The food quality is mixed. The fries are cold to the point I am was worred for food safety. The first time I have eaten here, will not return. read more

TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! Waited for OVER AN HOUR in the DRIVE THROUGH. NOT WORTH THE WAIT! Go to chic-fela across the street. They'll have 20 more customer and still get you out 45 minutes sooner with better food. read more

Oh my gosh, this place is the slowest service ever I agree with all the reviews. Hopefully they will do something about this. Maybe a new manager is in order. If I could give it a zero star, that's what it would be getting. read more

This was by far the worst dine-in meal I have ever had. The burger portion was paper thin and way over cooked resulting in it being basically tasteless. The fries were again small in portion and averagely bland. The chocolate shake, just plane horrible. Over priced and over hyped. read more

For the price of this food, it was not worth it. My son had the grilled cheese, it was more of a smashed grilled cheese that was smaller than the palm of his hand and a little burnt. I had the Avocado Bacon Chicken sandwich, and the piece of chicken only covered half the bun and my husband's chicken sandwich had a smashed piece of chicken on his. My daughter got the Shack Burger which did look good so maybe should have just gone with the burgers. The kids enjoyed their Mango Passionade but the Cherry Limeade was very flat with not a lot of flavor. For our first time and almost $100 was expecting a better meal. read more

Definitely different starting with the look on the outside. Parking lot is definitely busy, drive thru seem to be in a okay location. Alot of noise. The leaving the parking lot dangerous. The u turn that is necessary is definitely not safe. The ordering you do without human help all done on the screens. No cash at all. They definitely need more tables , outside maybe. The food was great. read more

Went there to order some shakes. The kiosk did not accept cash. every time I tried to select a payment method, it added items to my order. There were no employees around, so I left. I probably not ever return. read more

Waited in long line for my order to be cold when I got it. Overpriced burger not worth it

I had not been to Shake Shack for over 10 years. When they came to Surprise I was looking forward to revisiting because I felt the products were above average previously. My honest review of Shake Shack Surprise is this. The new location is very small and tight. Ordering is preferred via kiosks, which I don't like. So I went to the counter. The employee had trouble answering questions like is the single a quarter pounder. She didn't know. I placed my order and found a table right away. They bring your order to the table. My hamburger, fries and coke took about 30 minutes to arrive. Before It came I walked over to view the kitchen and it was well staffed. So I was confused as to why it took so long. When it finally arrived I did my taste testing. The burger was very good. A little juicy but I like that better than a dry burger. It was hot with melted cheese. The fries are crinkle cut and crisp which I enjoyed. Overall I would rate the taste and the way the product is prepared better then In N Out.. And much better than McDonalds or Burger King. In N Out burgers are tasty, but they come kind of cold because of the condiments. Not so with Shake Shack. It was a hot and tasty sandwich. Didn't like the wait. Didn't like the smallness of the restaurant. But liked the burger and fries. Three stars because of the other issues. read more

Went in at 5pm and placed order via tablet. There were no open tables and everyone was waiting for their food with a frustrated look on their faces. We waited for 30 + mins after paying $70 for 3 burgers,3 fries and 3 drinks. We had to request a refund as the food that was very slowly coming out had a horrible presentation and we could no longer wait any longer. Although we were not able to taste the food the prices were outrageous for very little food. I had never tried shake shack before and unfortunately will not be going back. Can't beat In-&-out quality and prices at all. read more

Terrible service. Ordered my food from the tablet received a text my order was ready didn't get my food for another 30mins

Very slow...took about 40-45 minutes to receive our food. No employees in sight to help out. Minimal seating. Fries were cold. Not planning on coming back. read more

Not bad food was great shakes are not bad fries were good hot dog was good but it is insanely expensive for fast food

I was told after a pre order another 5 min. 20 min later, no food! Lousy service! I saw more than one customer walk out in front of counter. 3 employees walking around front counter without a concern for business to make money. They took no orders. Only 1 table occupied during Sunday dinner! No July specials, and most employees look like their on dope! New name is Shit Show Shit Shack!!! Im not eating here! Kitchen looked like a disaster!!! Dinning room clean bc no body eating here!!! read more

Yeah food is above average... That not being my number one reason why I gave it 1 star. The main top reasons that it gets one star is because shake shack is known for their outstanding hospitality I do not feel in the Atmosphere that they're trying to achieve at this place is matching their above standards for hospitality. They already well know that Majority of the people like to dine in at their restaurant the dining room is very Smay only be able to fit about a 100 peopleGive or take, The outside patio is definitely only geared for about 25 people to sit. My biggest thing about the outside patio is I do not know what they were thinking Arizona is known for its hot long summers that there was no misters the patio is not even completely covered most of the tables are in the sun for most of the day it looks like there is only like 1 or 2 umbrellas out there on tables. My reasoning behind why I made an emphasis on how the outside dining area is there was Absolutely only one table left inside by the time that we were done ordering A 2 seated Table The problem with it was there was already a worker sitting there not eating mind you not sure what they were doing they were just sitting there on their phone with a rather lackluster look one of the other workers had gone over there to ask them to politely move for us to sit at the table he refused and seemed very stand office and rude about it... The girl that was running the whole show out in front in the dining room trying to give us a place to sit and help out was absolutely amazing she tried to do her best to you override apparently this kid's break at this table that wouldn't be polite enough for an elderly couple to sit down and move since we did not want to be out in the Sun as much as we paid for the foodIt would have been nice to have that table hence why I rated it one star will not be back! read more
