Terrible. This already overpriced burger ($10.48) was thrown together without any care whatsoever. Bun was crunched and practically folded in half, toppings were thrown on and falling off. In addition, I ordered no pickles and it was covered in pickles. Setting aside the fact that Shake Shack is already way overpriced for mediocre fast food, this is ridiculous. I might as well have gone to Burger King for the same quality but at least pay half the price. The quality has gone way down, likely because they keep trying to add all sorts of items to their menu that make it more work for the employees. You want a good fast food burger, go to Five Guys (much better french fries). I would give it zero stars but gave it 1 star is because when I complained they refunded my money. I ordered through their tablets when I walked in to try their black truffle shrooms burger and the black truffle Parmesan fries. The service was quick as we didn't wait long for our take out order. This seems like any other shake shack location with plenty of seating if your choose to dine in. The black truffle sauce had enough truffle flavor and consistency was a little thick. Walked into this place with my two girls and I a bit after the lunch crowd had died down. Stood at the register for roughly 5 minutes before someone even greeted us. I asked if they had any kind of child's menu to accommodate little kids that obviously wouldn't be able to eat half a regular sized burger. I was told no and that was no big deal got myself a burger and my two girls split a hot dog and a regular cheese burger. Food was decent enough and kids were happy this is where my frustration with this place started. We agreed that we'd get a shake after our meals and I took my daughter's orders for what they wanted and headed to the counter. I counted 7 staff members standing around chit chatting laughing joking. Everyone is entitled to have fun in a work place but it becomes an issue when customers are being blatantly ignored. I caught eye contact with atleast 4 of these employees all the while standing there waiting patiently to place my order I counted 5 minutes before anyone made an enter to stroll over to the counter only for this worker to just grab a napkin and go right back to where they were all messing around ignoring customers. Just wanted to let everyone know that I had a HORRIBLE experience at Shake Shack in Dedham today. It took 30 min to get a small meal for my 10 year old. A burger with NOTHING on it, fries and wafer. The people who ordered ahead of me already got their huge meal, ate it, and left and I was waiting and waiting. I gave a 10% tip but wondering if the workers see the tip amount when they pick which food to prepare first. I placed an order online for pickup but had a few issues with my order. I was missing a sandwich, the "bottled" root beer I ordered came in a cup, and the dog biscuits I got for my dogs were rock hard. My dogs will try to eat anything but they would not touch these biscuits. I regret not double checking everything before driving home but this was a slow night, and I was not expecting any issues. Why are the crinkle-cut fries here so delicious?! If you know me, you know I'm obsessed with fries. These are incredibly crispy, tasty, and fun to eat. The cut of the fries makes it a lot easier to pick up sauce. Now if only they carried Dutch mayonnaise... Since I started with the fries, the chicken dog I also ordered simply became an after thought. I don't remember loving it, but I definitely didn't hate it. I had a great experience with the service here. When you first walk in, there's a giant menu on the wall. A billboard size menu would be great from 400 feet away, but since the queue is right next to the wall, I was pretty much craning my neck to read the menu. The guy at the register noticed this and offered me a menu on paper. Honestly, in the restaurant industry, it's the little details like this that makes the service memorable. Mediocre customer service for the exorbitant prices they charge. They messed up my drink orders; did you know that blood orange is a different flavor from pomegranate basil? I'm aware the drinks are just concentrated syrup diluted with water but the staff couldn't even determine the difference. Use caution when eating the shroom burger! Its delicious but slightly dangerous. A shroom burger is a portobello mushroom filled with cheese then covered in break crumbs and deep fried. When you bite into it the cheese squeezes out and is incredibly hot/might burn you. The shakes are thick and sweet and you can mix the flavors (chocolate and strawberry - so good!). Guys... did not have high expectations and wow. The fries yum! The burger filling flavorful and delicious. I ordered their burger with their mushroom patty and meat, they have a name for it but I cannot recall it. It's not a big burger but it leaves you satisfied and content. Shake Shack is like a boujee fast food place. The service I received was exceptionally good and everyone was super nice and caring. The food was alright. The veggies tasted pretty fresh and the burger and chicken was good. For the burger, it tasted good; however, the way it was presented wasn't necessarily even. All the contents was sticking out the bun, which i get for presentation, but when i ate it and near the end it was just bread. For the chicken, I feel like it was pretty greasy on the outside, but the chicken was juicy so that's good. The fries were good but it was kinda cold, which i didn't know if it has been sitting out for awhile or not. My meal was good but it could have been better. The service did help though. Update: The last couple of times I have been there, Ive had to wait over 30 minutes to get my food...at a fast food joint...Its right next to the movie theater and it was my goto place for a quick bite before a movie. With that kind of wait, if I see a line, I wont be going in anymore. For a long time I couldn't decide if the best fast food burger was from shake shack or smash burgers. I saw far good because I don't consider then like other testing burgers (or give guys style). 1 day I got from both to be able to decide on the spot, because I would always say the one im currently eating was the best. Smash is the best for me, but shake shack is so close to second that as I mentioned before I couldn't decide. I like the crinkle cut fries as well. Fast service even if there is a full line. Visited today for lunch and was extremely disappointed. First, their opening hours start at 11am, arrived at 11:30am to find that they had a posted sign indicating their opening time would be 12 noon. As soon as they opened, we were second in line and placed our order - their new hot honey chicken sandwich, ShackStack burger, cheese fries and a lemonade. More and more patrons arrived, as well as GrubHub delivery drivers and they were slammed with approximately 20-25 orders . I noticed food starting to pile up under a heat vent and was not making its way out to customers - we waited about 30 minutes for our food to finally be ready for us and by this time , the cheese had already congealed in the shroom burger as well as ontop of the cheese fries and did not taste as satisfying . apparently they were waiting on the cashier who was taking orders to also expedite/process the food out to the same customers . The manager seemed disinterested and couldn't be bothered, taking her time to finally assist with handing out food to patrons as promised. i used to be a regular customer here, always ordered the same thing. i do like their burgers but i really come for the cheese fries, which are the best. But, for some reason i kept having problems with the cheese fries- cheese machine broken, not enough cheese etc. so i just stopped going there. it's a shame that this place can't get their cheese fries right, for the $$$ they charge it should be correct and there's only like 2 ingredients read more

I just had to give a star to post, but this particular shake shack in Dedham just keeps getting worse. The service here is soooo slow, and none of the employees seems bothered by it at all. Today we placed our order and after being warned that the wait would be a little longer because of a "computer issue", we have now sat here waiting for close to 40 minutes. Too bad my son loves the burgers here so much...There's a very long line of angry customers waiting for their orders. People are just leaving now without their food. Came by on a Thursday evening, around 5:30PM. Not too busy, there was no line to order at the counter and a short line for food pick up. We just ordered 2 fries and 1 lemonade. The fries were cold, not really salted. Lemonade was fine. The next section is my review of the customer service: We took about 3 mins to decide but when we decided to hop in line, there was 1 guy in front of us but no one behind us. We were also out of the way incase anyone came in and wanted to hop in line. When we were ready, the cashier was still chatting with another employee. I said a simple "Hi" and got some of the biggest attitudes. The other employee just stared for a second and walked back to her station to build sandwiches, while the cashier did some eye rolls and sounded super annoyed the entire time we ordered. I thought about ordering more than 2 fries and a lemonade but in the end, not worth the attitude. Not to mention at the end asking for my name and the tone she demanded me to spell it in... And to spell the name wrong, almost thought my order wasn't mine. While waiting in line, my party and I continued to notice the same attitude with other customers. At some point, while the customers were still in front of the cashier, the cashier and the employee in charge of french fries were pointing at the 5 people in line and making comments. The kitchen was staffed with about 10-12 people, and maybe about 4 of them were just dragging themselves around, you can tell they really didn't want to be there. We also heard comments about how the employees didn't want to pack the food or to seal the bags. Korean-style Fried Chick'n sandwich: The meat on this sandwich is pretty thick and it was really juicy but the fried crust was pretty soggy possibly due to the sauce and the coleslaw. I also wasn't really a fan of the coleslaw because it tasted like pickled veggies and not . The sauce did taste somewhat like but wasn't spicy and was a little more similar to a sweet and sour sauce. Korean-style Gochujang Chick'n Bites: These are just the normal chicken bites but with a side of mayo. I actually liked the side sauce but it also wasn't spicy (I thought it had a hint of sweetness). I also thought this one had an odd citrus flavor that I didn't expect from a gochujang. The chicken bites were pretty crispy on the outside and juicy so I was happy! Korean-style Gochujang Fries: These are just the normal fries with the same side sauce as the chicken bites. I think the sauce goes a little better with the chicken than the fries. The sauce is also pretty watery so doesn't coat as well on the fries. Black Sugar Vanilla Shake: This milkshake is so sweet! Take what you expect for sweetness and at least double it! I still liked it because it mostly tasted like caramel with a hint of "is this brown sugar ice cream" but I really couldn't drink more than a few sips without needing water. It took a long time to finally get my order and then fix my order so the whipped cream was melted by the time I got it but the milkshake itself was still thick. Overall I think everything was okay and if you are going into it blind with no expectations or experience with Korean food you will probably like it. Just don't expect it to be spicy lol. I probably wouldn't order any of it again and would stick to their normal menu. I also have common problems at this location... This time they didn't give me the gochujang mayo and I had to ask multiple times to actually get it. This is after seeing multiple people before me have to ask for the gochujang sauce which is the whole point of the gochujang nuggets/fries. It also takes insanely long to actually get your order. I placed an order to be picked up at 12:45PM and I did not receive my meal until 1:15PM. I also ordered it for pickup 20 minutes before arriving so I thought it would be ready at the time the app said it would be ready but it was not. I then had to check my bag and make sure I received all of my items and I had not. The only reason I had checked my bag in the first place is I had seen two previous customers bring back their order for not receiving the gochujang mayo. I felt it was inconsiderate to not mention to the customer if they didn't have it and just let them leave hoping they wouldn't notice. The food is always consistently delicious (i love their burgers & cheese fries), and I don't have any issues with picking up my food and taking it to go.
