I have been going to Dr. Javaheri for several years now and I wouldn't trust my skin care to anyone else (Botox, fillers, plastic surgery needs). Dr. Javaheri and his nurses are so professional and skilled at what they do. I have done several types of laser including skin tightening, IPL, hair removal and fat burning (I can't remember what that was called). Dr. Javaheri also helped us when our daughter was cut on her face from the playground and when a family member had a malignant tumor. His outcome is very natural. I have seen some of the much harder things he's done like creating ears from ribs and constructing a jaw bone for someone with a birth defect. I feel so fortunate to have a doctor with this level of talent doing my injectables. One day when I'm older I'll have him do my face lift! Dr Javaheri Advanced Aesthetics is the fountain of youth. read more

I went to a consultation with Dr. Javaheri, and although I went with a different surgeon, it wasn't because I didn't have total trust and respect for Dr. Javaheri. I thought he was realistic, honest and helpful, and would have done his best to get a good surgical outcome. I think I was less comfortable with how ritzy the office is, I prefer a more low key facility, but some people really like the more high tech and snazzy experience. It really depends on what your needs are and what you prefer. I recommend meeting with him for a consultation if you are considering reconstructive or plastics work, and seeing if he's the guy for you. read more

Dr. Javaheri is an excellent doctor. He is a wonderful human being and helps not only the people who are disfigured by birth or have endured any sort of accident but also the people who need to work to enhance their beauty. He helps me a lot and I'm very happy with the all the results read more

Dr. Javarheri and his staff displayed the highest level of customer service before, during, and after my breast enhancement procedure. He was personable, professional, available, and answered all of my questions. As an employee in the healthcare field, I can honestly say he is one of the kindest physicians I have had the pleasure to meet. He made an effort at each follow up appointment to ask if I was happy with the procedure: my happiness was his main concern! I have been wanting this procedure for a very long time and could not be more thrilled with the outcome. Dr. Javaheri made my dream a reality; I am incredibly thankful and highly recommend him to anyone considering the procedures he performs. read more

So I had kind of a bad experience, got fired up about it and wrote an emotionally charged review - it happens.... What I didn't expect to happen was to get a call from the Director of Operations for Javaheri immediately after. Rosh really showed a lot of concern about my recent experience. I am overwhelmed by her compassion and, where I had earlier sworn off this place, now I can't wait to go back for my next treatment! Thank you!!!!!! read more

I can honestly say the Dr. Javaheri is honest and will tell you what he feels you can expect from a surgery or procedure. Dr. Javaheri believes in thinking positive and will work with his patients on that. He is skilled, has had many years experience, does a good job making sure you understand technique and procedure.. His office staff is also supportive and has good follow through. Their service is personalized and they make you feel like a friend. As with any surgeon or service, you need to educate yourself on what to expect and put trust in their skills. I always believe a patient needs to educate themselves so they are better equipped on what questions to ask when in an appointment, and to better understand the possible outcomes. read more

Recently I bought a groupon for 20 Units of Botox. I went to Dr. Javeheri last week and had a very bad experience. Upon entering the room Dr. Javeheri never look at me before the procedure, but keep saying that i need to buy more units. This was completely a scam. I did this procedure before and was always told by several doctors that 20 units more than enough for me, since I only doing it as a preventative care. Dr. Javeheri has NO EXPERIENCE IN BOTOX PROCEDURE and did an awful job. Very painful in the first place and a week later the whole area is still in pain. The result is even worse! Some areas are bumpy, others were never improved. Looks uneven and ugly. Very unprofessional. Need to go to do a correction at more experienced doctor asap. I went to yelp page after all of this and found out that this doctor has several yelp pages! Once one page is full of bad reviews he opens new one. STAY AWAY, YOUR HEALTH IS IMPORTANT. read more

Dr. Shahin Javaheri is wonderful! He gave me my youth back. I am 2 months post op from a tummy tuck and from beginning to end Dr. Javaheri and staff made me feel quite comfortable. I have never met a nicer person than Dr. Javaheri and very professional. I called and texted him at all hours and he was always polite, very helpful and always available. My surgery went well and I didn't have pain for very long and I have minimal scarring I love my results. Thank you Dr. Javaheri!!!! LaRonda L. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with my first visit. I needed Botox, made an appointment. The day arrived for my appointment and my schedule was out of control but I did not want to cancel. I flew in, filled out the paperwork hurriedly while in between 5 phone calls.. I let the assistant and Dr. Javaheri know that I was in the midst of intense unavoidable project and apologized for my shortness and short visit. They were both kind and understanding. 1,2,3 zip botox ...out the door I went. Can't wait to spend some time with Dr. Javaheri for other beautification procedures! read more

I went to Advanced Aesthetic for an IPL photofacial and had a great experience. First of all, his office staff was friendly and beyond gracious (was super late the first time and they rescheduled without scolding). The office was lovely and clean. From the moment I consulted with Dr. Javaheri until my recovery period, he and his staff has been wonderful. The follow up phone calls and the knowledge that I could call him and the office any time if I had a question went a long way toward making me feel cared about. Not only he help me realize a dream, his warm and comforting consolation made me assured that I was about to "do the right thing" for myself. I've been going to Advanced Aesthetics, Shahin Javaheri, M.D., for over two years for IPL, and skin tightening procedures. I first went for IPL and was very pleased with the results. My skin looks so much brighter, and the sun damage has disappeared. I got so many compliments, I bought the face and neck package (5 treatments). It's important to stay on top of the treatments and get them once every four weeks, which I do for the winter months. This treatment doesn't last forever; therefore, its important to stay on top of the treatments to maintain results. Then, I was turned on to the skin tightening treatments, which I do for face and neck, and that works really well too! I then bought the package for that one. This treatment will produce better results if you do this once every three weeks for however many weeks advised. I highly recommend this place the nurse, staff, and Dr. are all very friendly and professional. I'm a very happy client and will continue to come back. read more

Dr. Javaheri is the best!! Not only is he a very skilled surgeon, he is also kind, communicative and extremely trustworthy. I don't use these words lightly, as I have had MANY bad experiences with other doctors and have developed an innate distrust for most of them. But, I could tell the first time I spoke with Dr. Javaheri that he was different. I had had several consultations with other doctors for a rhinoplasty revision, but I did not like them. Then, I got a referral to Dr. Javaheri. To accommodate my living in another state, our first meeting was on Skype. He was so friendly and took his time and really listened to me. He proposed and reviewed solutions with me and took into consideration all of my concerns. I was so pleased with our talk, I looked for a flight to San Francisco immediately after our call. Prior to my surgery, I had several calls with his staff, who are also fantastic. It was like talking with old friends. Really. When I got there, everything was easy. Per my request, I had a long talk with the anesthesiologist the night prior to my surgery, which alleviated fears of overdosing issues I'd had in the past. The morning of the surgery was also easy. The surgery staff were very kind. And, of course, the results were amazing! All my friends think my nose looks great, yet natural. He really did a fantastic job. I would go back to him and recommend him without hesitation. read more

I went to Dr Javaheri because my earring ripped through my ear and I needed to get it sewed up. This same thing happen to me when I was living in a different city about 6 years prior. Dr Javaheri told me he needed to fix both ears in order to make sure it doesn't happen to my other ear. He assured me his way of cutting the skin and sewing it up will not leave a scar. Instead, I now have two scares, one on both ears from where he cut through and sewed them up. Mind you only one really needed to be fixed. I now have scar tissue built up in both ears where he "fixed" them and one of my ears have a point at the bottom making it look like an elf. I followed his directions and went back 8 months later to get my ears pierced again. He asked me to put a dot where I wanted the earrings.....I'm sorry he is the doctor he should know this. He then made the dots and I looked at them. They didn't look even. We then moved one of the dots up slightly. He said they look even and are in great locations. He then pierced the ears. They are uneven .... On top of that I asked how many months I need to keep the same pair of earrings in. He said you can change them/take them out after two weeks. Everyone else you talk to and research you do says keep the earrings of newly pierced ears in for at least a month, ideally 6 months. If he cannot even do a similar procedure like this, why would you trust him with a major plastic surgery. I would highly recommend not going to him. There are plenty of great doctors in SF. I made the mistake of going and do not want you to do the same. read more

Very great staff with even better service. I've heard about this office from a number of happy customers, and when I learned that they have tattoo removal services, I made an appointment right away. When I first came to Dr Javaheri's office, my tattoos where very dark. After just my second session, the progress was amazing. Not only was the work great, their friendly staff made my experience that much better. The nurse doing my procedure was very friendly, the ladies at the front desk were very welcoming, and Dr Javaheri was very professional. I am looking forward to my next appointment, Highly recommended! read more

I've been going to Dr. Javaheri's office for laser hair removal for over four years. I saw dramatic results after the first treatment and needed 5-6 treatments total. Now I go for touch ups 1-2 times a year. I have olive skin and scar very easily and rarely have other professionals taken notice and worked it into my appointments/care. Every nurse who treated me was how cautious to give thorough instructions to prevent scarring. The entire staff is very pleasant! I'm always greeted with smiles and hellos when I come to the office and I always receive texts and a phone call reminding me of my appointment. And no matter how busy Dr. Javaheri is, he stops by to say hello. read more

I am still pre-op so will write a follow up review afterwards but so far my experience with Dr. Javaheri, and mostly with his office assistant Julie has been amazing! From booking my first appointment to getting paperwork together for insurance to getting approved, Julie has been incredibly communicative and attentive the whole way. She responds to emails promptly and always has answers over the phone. I couldn't appreciate her empathy and proactive attitude about getting my insurance all set up for my reduction. Its made the entire daunting process so much smoother and easier then I ever imagined. Will follow up after my procedure! read more

Overall, I won't be going back again for Botox with Dr. Javaheri. While the doctor was perfectly nice, many other parts of this experience were simply too terrible to ignore. This is literally the first yelp review I've ever written because I was so frustrated with this process overall that I had to share... Months ago, I had purchased a Groupon that I had completely forgotten about. I asked that, since the same promotion was still available months later (it is still available even today), if they would just let me use it. I mean, why not? For some still unclear reason, both Groupon and Dr. Javaheri's office told me that they were DIFFERENT promotions (they were not), and thus could not be used the same way. Since my Groupon had expired, it could only be used as cash value, no promotion. Fine. So, since they are different, I should be able to buy a second one and use that one as a "Groupon" paired with the now only "cash value" Groupon, right? Wrong. Though the receptionist over the phone agreed with me completely that I should be able to get at least ONE deal out of this experience, she was told by her manager that no, I could not use two Groupon's together.... even though I was told earlier that they were "different"? Even though one was not being used as a Groupon, but instead only as "cash value"? Seriously?? If all of that wasn't enough, the doctor, while very kind, administered the botox in a way that was far more painful than any of the prior treatment's I've had. Additionally, the pricks are bloody. Was it really worth it to screw me out of a deal like that? Aren't these kinds of promotions created to entice you to come in and build a relationship? Prior to this experience, I had gone to a different doctor at a Medspa, and let me tell you... I now appreciate that OTHER relationship I'd built (not to mention, they let me use a Groupon TWO DIFFERENT TIMES, no fuss!) I'm off to go argue with Groupon in attempts to get my wasted $200 back... thanks Dr. Javaheri for all of this unnecessary trouble! read more

I had a groupon for botox some months ago. Everyone in the office was very nice and friendly. The treatments, however, did not take well and I ended up getting touch-ups elsewhere. I have been getting treatments for years and never had this problem before so I don't know if he didn't use the amount I paid for or didn't place it correctly, but it ended up costing me more than if I had just gone somewhere without a groupon. read more

I wasnt going to write this review, but I've received about 3-4 email reminders to rate/review Dr. Javaheri, so I hope this feedback helps. As the earlier reviews mentioned, Dr. J is very nice and friendly. I also bought a groupon and decided to use it for the forehead area between the eyes. From the time I walked into the office til the time I walked out.. was about 8 minutes. He didn't say much about the procedure, didn't give much after care advice. It's now a few weeks later and one side of my forehead is more moveable than the other. I felt like the injections were super rushed and not much thought was put into it. So basically.. I am NOT happy with the end result and I feel like the entire thing was a waste of money. Would not go back. read more

Worst photofacial ever. The staff told me there would be no downtime - and my face is horrifying right now. Dr. Javaheri did nothing to explain the procedure to me and even less to prepare me for what post results I would see. I had to ask so many questions and even then - I was not prepared for this. My face is a mess. Will need to be home for days now. He did not even say bye - but threw me to one of his assistants who did not seem to know much with regard to the skincare product line they sell. Yet - she was trying to sell me everything. . .and the one thing I might need was not available. I would never recommend this place. . .the receptionist is the best thing they have (she's darling) - but the experience beyond her is frghtening. read more

Dr. Javaheri is fantastic. I had a big mole between my nose and upper lip that I finally decided to get removed this year (after thinking about it for over 30 years), and he did a brilliant job. He pulled the skin up so that the scar was right under my nose and is very hard to see. It's healed great. He has a great bed-side manner. My only complaint is that he told me not to take the tape off for a few days, but it bled through a bit and created scabs, and when I went in for my follow-up a couple of days later, he said oh yeah, you don't want to let that happen, as it will make scarring worse. Would have been good info to have up front! But aside from that oversight, he was wonderful and totally exceeded my expectations for what I was sure was going to be an ugly scar and turned out to be hardly noticeable. read more

Skip this business. There are great businesses throughout the city- and this isn't one of them. With that said - Nurse Annie is a wonderful lady. The front desk woman should be fired. She's incredibly rude. Additionally. I had multiple laser hair treatments without any success. I began treatment with Dr. Javahari four months ago, and I am both pleased with and grateful for the skin care and attention I've received from him and his very kind and competent staff, Julie, Jamra and Gayle. My skin treatment consist of IPL sessions, Botox with fillers, and multiple lesions (moles, age spots) removal from my back and face. Each of the treatments achieved the desired effect and enhanced the condition of my skin, much to my delight. I have had Botox and filler injections from another health care provider, but Dr. Javahari was far more effective with these treatments, especially when eliminating frown lines and the angry "11's". The IPL sessions I am currently receiving have either eliminated or vigorously faded the extensive sun damage (spots) on my scalp and temples, and I look forward to their continued reduction or disappearance as my IPL sessions progress. And the skin lesions I asked Dr. Javahari to remove have healed incredibly well with little or no scarring. So I feel fortunate to be the recipient of such able and effective skin care. Each of my office visits have been nothing less than a totally positive experience. Julie and Gayle are so very kind and attentive to your office arrival and make sure you spend only minutes waiting before you're taken into a treatment room for your scheduled appointment. Jamra has administered a number of IPL treatments to me, and I can say that she does indeed go the extra mile to make sure your treatment is effective and administered in such a manner as to achieve the best possible outcome. After receiving a number of skin treatment procedures from Dr. Javahari, there's no question in my mind that he is an exceptionally qualified dermatologist and surgeon. But if I could use one word to describe him, that word would be...unpretentious. He talked with me like I was a brother more so than a patient. I find this a rare characteristic among doctors so I mention it here. You sense that Dr. Javahari wants you to be well informed of all the possible treatment options and that you understand each option. As a patient, you sense his entire focus is on you and your care, and that he sincerely wants the best treatment for you. If you are looking for a health care provider who will help you reach your treatment goals in a positive and effective manner, I would say Dr. Javahari and his kind staff will not fail to meet your expectations. read more

Complete con artists here. I purchased a 3-time hair removal package which did not work at all. ( The original person who worked on me told me I was a perfect candidate for this and should get great results) The last time, the nurse told me that it would not work and that I should talk to them and I should instead go for electrolysis. I said that would be ok...but she, added, we don't do that here so maybe you can get your money back. When I called the head office woman there, she very pompously informed me informed me that I would need at least 6-8 sessions before it would show and I WAS MISINFORMED!!!!! I said that isn't what the nurse told me. She replied, "That is why we fired her, because she is misinformed."
