For context, I received 3cc facial Renuva injections in Beverly Hills two years ago but that surgeon didn't numb my face and those injections were more painful than actual surgery. Fast forward to this year, I read that Dr. Rajagopal was the number one Renuva provider in the country and her website stated that numbing cream was used. I was terrified of more pain but hopeful that this experience would be less painful. At this office, numbing cream was literally applied to my face for 30 minutes and then ice was applied afterwards. Although the injections were still painful, they were much more tolerable. Dr. Rajagopal has a gentle hand, a kind demeanor, and good aesthetic sense. I've seen four other different plastic surgeons but Dr. Rajagopal has given me the most faith in doctors. I wish that I had known about her earlier. I would definitely come here for Renuva injections or other treatments as needed. They are not inexpensive at 2500 for 3 cc. Dr. Rajagopal clearly cares about people and their comfort. This is very important as any surgery or injection is a stressful experience so bedside manners and genuine concern is priceless. The only odd thing was that I was presented the bill during numbing by a staff member. Payment is expected after treatment and I knew the cost beforehand so it was strange to get the bill during the middle of the procedure and then after the procedure again. I would have been happy to pay in advance if they are worried about people leaving without paying. In any case, the office staff was nice. There was easy and free private parking provided. Looking to have an augmentation mastopexy with reduction to redo a smaller augmentation I had done over twenty years ago. I've since become fearful or surgeries, so I did my research and spoke with several highly rated surgeons in the 450 Sutter building here in the city. However, they were not on the same page with me, wanting to use silicone & an anchor lift in order to get a good result. I've had saline this entire time and been happy with it and I was trying to avoid an anchor lift. A few months later I stumbled upon Dr. Rajagopal and she told me I could get the results I wanted without silicone and an anchor lift, so I was in! Amanda the patient coordinator was wonderful to work with getting all the pre-operative instructions and informing me of the tests I needed done. A few kinks in the road pre-test wise but she was positive and reassuring. The surgery went smooth along with the anesthesia (which I feared). I was in a bit of pain the first few days, mainly nerve pain but I had medicine prescribed and I took it about four days. The total recovery took a good five weeks, and I took the first week off work. I had my adult children do the grocery shopping, laundry etc for the first month as you can't really lift, so it all worked out. It is now ~10 months later and it looks great! I still have some scars but that is what I expected, and it should fade over time. I am happy I finally got this done and choose Dr Rajagopal since she has the skills / experience! read more

Avoid. I am loathe to post negative messages but my experience here bordered on at worst, dangerous, and at best negligent. Pre-procedure instructions for laser age spot removal involved using products sold to me by the consulting RN, both day and night versions, two weeks before the appointment to -- I was led to believe -- make the laser work better. However AT the actual appointment, the office manager/assistant, while preparing me for the procedure, said that those products were harsh and that I SHOULD have discontinued a week prior AND should have been using them only 2-3 times a week. She stopped numbing me immediately and after checking with the RN who was to perform the actual procedure -- and who was the one who met with me via zoom -- was told that I would have to reschedule since I hadn't discontinued the product a week ahead. She said the RN would stop by to talk but I waited for about 10 minutes and had a feeling it would be longer. I chose to leave and on the way out, told the office manager that I would call to reschedule. The office manager said that she'd email and that the RN got caught up with another patient. If this is how spot removal patients are treated, I shudder to think of the risk introduced by this kind of lack of attention to more invasive procedures. Please avoid. read more

i'm posting this years later b/c i had an unusual side effect from a procedure she did which was unfortunate but her team was very nice and tried to 'fix' it over the course of the following months. I came in regularly to get that fix and they got it about 50% fixed over like.. 5 to 7 appointments and said the couldn't do any more. I lived with the problem for the next 2 years and finally went and got a second opinion. my new doctor fixed the problem completely within 2 appointments and said they were not surprised that based on my skin type and ethnicity that I had that side effect and that dr. U should have warned me it was common. so years later, I realized that I wasn't the exception and it was just her office that did a bad job. read more

Let me start by saying that Dr Rajagopal and her team at The San Francisco Plastic Surgery and Laser Center are amazing. I needed to have surgery done on my chest after huge weight loss and having kids and Dr Rajagopal did a wonderful job. She listened to my concerns and her recommendations are on point and I can tell that she's a very experienced, highly competent plastic surgeon. She knows her stuff. Of course having surgery is no fun and it was very uncomfortable and painful afterwards but her and her team of nurses and coordinator made sure I was well taken care of in terms of post surgical pain management, incision site care; they communicated well, make sure my recovery is good and less miserable. My concerns were heard and they listened to me. On top of that, they have a new office now which I love. Private parking garage for her patients; office, waiting area and patient consultation rooms are very clean and the Operating room & recovery area are new, clean and organized with waiting area for family member conveniently located just outside the OR doors. Debated not writing this review for a few weeks. I am very underwhelmed with my experience at this office. It was my first time getting lip filler, or any services from a med spa/office, and I had no idea what to expect. I purchased an Instagram deal that was 75 dollars off a filler treatment, so it was 800 (assuming filler is usually 875? Full price). Now that I have gone to other offices, I can say this price is kind of insane for a syringe. I understand the office markets itself as high end, but 875 is actually wild. I also received no discounts or offers for being a new & referred client and the front office staff did not enter my purchase for the Apsire rewards program - so I essentially lost out on points I should have received. The treatment itself was very uncomfortable. Nurse Alyssa was sweet and listened to what I wanted. I did feel like she was a little heavy handed and at a point I just wanted the injections to stop because my eyes began tearing up. I began bruising during the treatment and Alyssa stopped at about .8 of the 1 ml syringe. I got the sense that she may have been a little panicked by my bruising, which I understand, however my lips were left kind of asymmetrical and I could have used the full syringe. Immediately after the treatment I was told that I would not be injected again for another 6 months at the minimum, and no follow up appointment was offered to make sure my results were satisfactory. After healing for about 2 weeks, I was really disappointed with my results and felt extremely discouraged by the office to reach back out to convey these feelings. My lips were left slightly asymmetrical and I had a massive divot in my bottom lip was visible from lack of filler placement. I essentially had to massive lumps in my bottom lip that did not look or feel very natural due to filler being placed only in these areas and not in the center of my bottom lip. I ended up going to another office (Hayes valley medical) about 4 weeks later and paid for another half syringe to address the issues I was left with from this office - I paid about 250 less and had a much better experience. I honestly would not recommend getting filler here for both the outrageous price point and lack luster client experience. read more

I underwent a fat transfer to my breasts at this clinic, where they promised a 70% survival rate. Disappointingly, none of the fat survived after 2 years. My second procedure here felt entirely profit-driven and resulted in severe unevenness and scarring around my waist. Two years later, I'm still dealing with the consequences. I advise against this clinic. Update: I spoke with one of the desk receptionists today; while some are knowledgeable and make sense, this particular receptionist (the same one as yesterday evening) seemed to need more training. When I asked for information, she couldn't craft accurate sentences or find my profile, even though I had spoken with her coworkers twice in recent days, who could locate me easily. She also failed to guide me accurately on how to upload pictures and provided false information that contradicted her coworker's promise, all with a rude tone. I wish I could speak with someone more sensible who understands what they are communicating even at the front desk. read more

They are truly the most friendly people ever and have such a youthful relaxed vibe while maintaining professionalism. Also the office art is beautiful and empowering! When I first walked in, I was taken aback by how beautiful the waiting room is. I was checked in by Taylor for a consult and Botox appt after. She too the time to listen to what small changes I wanted done to my face to enhance but still keep my Asian features. I think this is the most important thing, that they embrace how you look and never bring up any treatment unless you ask-in other words no pressure or anything and you get educated scientifically on every treatment you are even curious about. For example I'm really insecure about my armpit fat and little arm fat I have and Taylor recommended coolsculpting instead of lipo because it's less down time and I never even heard of that before. I was seen by Taylor, their PA! (She wears really cute dachshund earrings) she gave me masseter botox to decrease the appearance of my large masseters and slim the face/jaw. It went great and was virtually painless-and this is coming from someone who gets anxiety getting a flu shot. They use an insulin needle so it's very small and they give you numbing cream and ice before! (I will attach video/photos) There is no bruising and minimal soreness. On a scale of 1-10 in terms of pain it's 2at a most, but I also have low pain tolerance. It hurts less than getting your ears pierced or a flu shot. While this is a quick and minor treatment, what I appreciate is how transparent they are about the cost and go over exactly what you're being charged for and educate you on any procedure you're getting or interested in getting. They really care about making you feel the most confident! They follow all covid precautions/ guidelines. I got 15 units in each side, total of 30units. I am/will come back for more face work and coolsculpting in the future! I was treated like a friend and it is so easy to talk to them. All in all, professional, fun, friendly, and excellent care. I was recommended by my dentist to get Botox for the jaw to help relieve my TMJ. I found Dr. Rajagopal's office through her Instagram (@drusharajagopal) and all the positive Yelp reviews solidified my decision to book an appointment! Firstly, the office is so beautiful and clean! The front desk staff are so friendly and make you feel welcomed when you come into the office. Each provider at the office is a well educated, experienced injector so I had full confidence coming into my appointment! I saw the Physician Assistant, Taylor (@taylors_pac), for my jaw Botox. She listened to my concerns, throughly assessed the areas that she was going to treat, and from there recommended me the appropriate units of Botox for my jaw. She took the time to explain what she was doing and how the precise placement of the Botox was important in preserving the integrity of the other muscles of the face. One day I randomly woke up and decided to make a consultation for a breast augmentation & I went in for the 3D imaging. After my conversation with the doctor, I really decided to go ahead and book the appointment for my surgery. Dr. Raj and her team took good care of me while I was there with the follow ups.
