One week post op (still swollen - day of cast removal)
Cora J.

As promised! I had my cast removed today and I am at a loss for words to describe how much I love my nose! Dr. Elyassnia + team are one of a kind. The care, compassion, and expert level of work he shows to his patients is incredible. I cannot think him and his incredible staff enough for the wonderful experience! My nose is incredibly swollen and will continue to improve every day. So beyond thankful!

1 year after first rhinoplasty
Manisha D.

I had my primary rhinoplasty with Dr. E in December 2017. I did months of research on Yelp, Google Search, and RealSelf to find the right doctor. I checked all over CA and concluded Dr. E would be the best for what I want. The consultation and surgery location is in the same place in the heart of SF. The staff is super kind and professional. Dr. E is nice, listens well, and sets real expectations. The main reason I chose Dr. E is because of his S.M.A.R.T. rhinoplasty technique. There was not any chiseling or bone breaking, NO SCARS, and minimal short and long term damage. After surgery, I felt really awake and barely any pain. I took Tylenol once or twice. Instead of pain, it felt more like pressure on my nose. Most of the swelling was gone after 3 weeks! At 3 weeks, I had a clear idea of what my nose would look like. My nose looked a lot better after the surgery but still was not exactly how I wanted it to be. I needed more of an improvement. I expressed my concerns to Dr. E and he was caring and supporting. In a situation where you feel so worried, it helps so much to have someone who is there for you and puts extra effort to make sure you are at ease. Dr. E genuinely cared for how I felt and wanted to do whatever he could to make sure I was happy with my results. We kept in contact over the next year. I gave updates along with pictures. In December 2018, we met again in person to discuss options. In February 2018, I had my second rhinoplasty. I had emphasized all the changes I want with plenty of examples. Once again, the OR staff and surgery process was a breeze. Dr. E sent me a picture of my new nose the next day, and I absolutely loved it!! This time hurt more but now at 3-4 weeks, there is absolutely no pain, almost no swelling, and it looks amazing! I got the exact result I wanted. I couldn't be happier with my results. Dr. E did an amazing job! You are definitely in good hands with him!

Dec 24th 2021 Update: 2 surgeries later and I still have a bump. In my honest opinion, I wish I had gone to someone else. Dino was really nice and my nose looks better than my original, but I didn't pay thousands of dollars to not get what I had asked for :/

I was very indecisive on writing this review since it's been 2 years now but, the more I look at my nose the more it bothers me. I paid so much and had to get two surgeries and still see a bump. The first checkup I had after surgery I came in we noticed the bump was still there and Dino said it would go away since it was just a few weeks and said it was probably still swollen. We decided to wait a year since Dino said it completely heals after a full year. A year passed and came in for a check up. He said we could do a another surgery with just anesthesia on the nose area to shave down the hump on my nose so I would be fully awake. I came in for the second surgery and he said he would only shave down one side. Not only do I still have a bump but I'm my nostrils are not even. He never posted after pictures when I came in for checkups because he probably didn't like the results of my nose. My nose does look better compared to how I had it but I didn't pay thousands to not get what I wanted and what we agreed to.

He was realistic and upfront about what limitations existed due to my facial anatomy, and what would be safe and flattering in the long term. I appreciate how personalized my consult felt, and that my surgical plan fit me rather than whatever nose is "trendy". Despite the significant changes made to my nose during my rhinoplasty, I didn't even bruise! I'm healing well, and I couldn't have asked for better results! I cannot stress enough how wonderful Dr. Ransom's team is. As someone who is usually a bit nervous with medical procedures, I really appreciate how empathetic and attentive his team is. Holly and Emily were very responsive and helpful with scheduling, notes, etc. Yesenia was amazing at answering all of my questions about my prescriptions and aftercare. Patricia is so kind, and I feel very grateful she was there for me pre/post-op. I would enthusiastically recommend Ransom M.D. to other rhinoplasty seekers!

Although I had my procedure done early 2025, I had to write this review because my experience at…read moreDr. Ransom's office has been haunting me. I needed a blepharoplasty for my heavy eyelids and found Dr. Ransom on Yelp listed as an excellent, kind, friendly doctor. The consultation was great, Dr. Ransom listened to exactly what I wanted, assured me that not too much would be removed and was very kind. I felt like I was going to be in good hands. A woman at the office took me into another room, showed me some before and after pictures, (though I'm not sure she made note of which ones I liked), and I asked how long is the recovery time, she said "Oh just a week, you can have your procedure Monday and stitches removed Friday." Great, I took a week off. Monday, the day of procedure, before the procedure, we were in a room and Dr. Ransom was getting things together in a rush. I was surprised he didn't confirm what we talked about or go over what he about to do. So I said, "just a little off eyelids and subtle right?" He just said "right" as he was assembling things. I asked "can you please go over the procedure?" and he did. At the beginning of the procedure, his Assistant placed a slightly adhesive pad on the side of my belly, (to monitor my vitals during the procedure). He injected anesthetic around my right eye, then my left eye, (though I noted that he didn't inject/spend as much time injecting my left eye). The procedure was going well, I felt no pain as he starting on my right eye, (though it was unsettling that Dr. Ransom and his Assistant were having casual conversation while working on my eyes-I know he must have done this procedure hundreds of times before, but still - this is my face). Towards the end, Dr. Ransom spent a good amount of time with the stitches on my right eye, but when he started on my left eye, I really felt pain, said it really hurts and "Ow." I realized he must have run out of anesthetic in his syringe when he got to my left eye and just didn't bother to get another syringe. Instead of stopping to give me more anesthetic, he just kept saying, "we're almost done, we're almost done." After reeling from that, his Assistant proceeded to slowly tear off the adhesive pad on my belly, (which is slightly hairy), and I yelped "Ouch!" I was too caught off guard to tell him to just rip the pad off like a bandaid and the Assistant kept saying "sorry, sorry" as he continued to slowly tear off the pad. After I continued to say "ouch, ouch!", Dr. Ransom said, "Oh your little hairs." So in addition to being in pain, I'm now belittled. Feeling terrible from this, I got dressed, shuffled to the Receptionist and scheduled stitches to removed that Friday. Close to Friday, the Receptionist called me to say my appointment was moved to Monday. I said but I took this week off and have to go back to work Monday. She said the doctor said I would get better results if I waited a couple more days to have the stitches removed. It seemed like a lie because why did they have schedule the appt for Friday originally? Silence from her, implying there is nothing I can do about it. Following the appointment, to minimize scars, I was to have 3 small laser zaps at the ends of each eye, administered by the Assistant. I have deep horizontal creases at the ends of my eyes, (had them for a long time), and I asked the Assistant if there was a procedure to address those. He said maybe some filler can help with the "canyons." I had to laugh at the exaggeration and cruelty of the term. I looked at him when he said it and I honestly believe he wasn't trying to be mean, that really was the word that came to his mind. Although ultimately results of the blepharoplasty were perfect, due to the experiences above, I just can not bring myself to go back to that office. I do believe Dr. Ransom is kind, it just may be another situation of having too many clients lined up back-to-back.

After three previous…read morerhinoplasties and dealing with my overly crooked nose and deviated septum, I expected him to tell me--like other plastic surgeons had over the years--to leave my flawed nose alone. To my surprise, after his assistant took pictures from all angles and he examined my nose, he said he could help me and that I was a good candidate! Two months ago, I underwent revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Kim, and I'm extremely happy with the results. He guided me every step of the way regarding what to expect from the surgery. Firstly, he informed me that my nose would be swollen and appear "big" for several months and that it might take up to 1-2 years to settle into its expected shape. He also mentioned that some asymmetry would remain, but that it would be significantly improved. Even while still swollen, I can see a huge improvement, and I've already received compliments from three friends about my new nose. I can breathe better now and have less sinus discharge. Most importantly, I no longer feel self-conscious about my nose. Each day, it seems to be getting a bit smaller, which is exciting. The renditions he provided of what my new nose would look like closely match how my nose appeared right after surgery before the swelling began. I would recommend Dr. Kim to anyone unhappy with their nose. I only wish I had found him sooner.

He had the nerve to accuse me of having BDD and said 90% of his patients have BDD - when in reality he just didn't want to take fault for his lack of aesthetics. I do not recommend Dr Kim for revision rhinoplasty. I wish I had studied his before and afters longer and trusted my gut when his morph looked terrible. I avoid mirrors and still get nausea from the total identify loss his lack of communication and style has caused me. He took liberties on things we never talked about. Worst part is my breathing is still not better after enduring 6.5 hour surgery.

Fast forward to this year, I read that Dr. Rajagopal was the number one Renuva provider in the country and her website stated that numbing cream was used. Although the injections were still painful, they were much more tolerable. Dr. Rajagopal has a gentle hand, a kind demeanor, and good aesthetic sense. I've seen four other different plastic surgeons but Dr. Rajagopal has given me the most faith in doctors. I wish that I had known about her earlier. I would definitely come here for Renuva injections or other treatments as needed. They are not inexpensive at 2500 for 3 cc. Dr. Rajagopal clearly cares about people and their comfort. This is very important as any surgery or injection is a stressful experience so bedside manners and genuine concern is priceless. The only odd thing was that I was presented the bill during numbing by a staff member. Payment is expected after treatment and I knew the cost beforehand so it was strange to get the bill during the middle of the procedure and then after the procedure again. I would have been happy to pay in advance if they are worried about people leaving without paying. In any case, the office staff was nice. There was easy and free private parking provided. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Rajagopal for her keen aesthetic eye and caring demeanor.

Instructions were given, was prescribed a few things, shot was given and then asked for a follow up. Was out the consultation room in less than 10 minutes. What I didn't have a good experience with is the company's practice and lack of professionalism when it comes to billing and insurance / credit card retention. I gave them my insurance information 5x and they still did not keep my in-network insurance on file until I asked them to charge my $40 copay the afternoon of my visit after I realized that there's definitely a copay for that visit. I called 4x before someone answered. During the call to pay my copay, it turns out the front desk person I met did not put my information in despite saying she did. What she did keep was my credit card information that they refuse to delete despite me never signing any form to justify it. This practice will try to make you sign a form that forces you to keep a payment card on file, have it charged without notification when there is a bill and forgo your right to dispute the charge if there's a discrepancy in billing. I shared the image of the form below. The front desk personnel will also hound you if you don't put your personal address and ssn on the forms. I gave them my address but the fd still refused to acknowledged that I wrote it down. I generally have payment cards stored for copayments at other practices. However, I have never had practice (or worked at a practice) that has these terms and conditions. It feels almost predatory and extremely insensitive. I understand when bills are due they are due. However, not saving my insurance information when I gave it multiple times, refusing to acknowledge I had filled the health forms online and even written down my address. Is just terrible practice as someone who also works in the medical field. I even emailed the team and offered them to submit the insurance claim myself just to ensure that it does get billed to them first. I even asked for a patient ledger once it's done cause I need to know my claim gets billed correctly. Furthermore, they do store you whole card information on their computer system and not an secure off-site institution as they claim, cause the FD on the phone confirming my copay was able to repeat the card number from front to back. Trust me this is not standard practice at medical offices or even businesses. At most the only card info a business would have is the last 4 digits of the card and it's expiration. Not the whole card's information I did not sign anything (their green agreement policy) that authorizes them to charge my card without my consent or say so cause I am not tardy on bills. (If I was why would I called 3 hours later to pay my copay immediately) But treating every new or existing patient like they are out for free service gives the impression that it's money first before your health by a long-shot. Most practices I've been to are not like this The whole fiasco about not wanting to save my insurance so they bill me directly instead cemented my experience at this practice. The doctor may be nice but the billing system and practice is definitely flawed. It's almost like they operate more like a beauty spa/ clinic than an actual medical facility for people with skin conditions. The administrative staff seem unwilling to actually do their role besides pushing you to fill out the green agreement form (pictured below), give card information and your address to ensure they can bill you instead and then send you to collections. Everything but sending the claim to insurance it seems. Definitely won't be back and will follow up to ensure they do send my claims, and would not recommend this practice to any patient needing care without the administrative stress.

When you are considering cosmetic procedures in the face & neck area, it's imperative that you select a surgeon who is certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology in Head and Neck Surgery, as Dr. Dedhia is. Prior to meeting Dr. Dedhia, I had consulted with a general plastic surgeon, and she nearly guided me in the wrong direction. Additionally, make sure to select a plastic surgeon who takes the time to truly understand any medical issues you have so that they can help you evaluate the risks and benefits of what you are considering cosmetically. I have multiple health conditions, including one that is very rare - Dr. Dedhia fully took all of them into account, even doing research in advance of our appointments to make sure he deeply understood what we were dealing with. Then, he explained clearly how my healing and outcome could be affected, guiding me down the most sensible path. (By contrast, another very experienced head & neck plastic surgeon I'd seen earlier this year had recommended a procedure that was far too drastic under the circumstances). Overall, I felt fully confident in Dr. Dedhia's judgement. And I should also mention that the customer service was top-notch throughout my experience, thanks to his office manager Colleen. In sum, Dr. Dedhia is extremely knowledgeable, skilled, professional, and personable - for those reasons, I give him my highest recommendation.
