I wish I had gone to him in the first place but we live and we learn! I'm 1.5 months out from my surgery and couldn't be happier with the results. He also sculpted my arms at the same time and both procedures turned out more natural and better than I could have imagined. My recovery was also more smooth than what was expected for both procedures. I know that's because of his rapid recovery technique that includes doing meticulous work and not causing unnecessary trauma to tissue. After three previous…read morerhinoplasties and dealing with my overly crooked nose and deviated septum, I expected him to tell me--like other plastic surgeons had over the years--to leave my flawed nose alone. To my surprise, after his assistant took pictures from all angles and he examined my nose, he said he could help me and that I was a good candidate! Two months ago, I underwent revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Kim, and I'm extremely happy with the results. He guided me every step of the way regarding what to expect from the surgery. Firstly, he informed me that my nose would be swollen and appear "big" for several months and that it might take up to 1-2 years to settle into its expected shape. He also mentioned that some asymmetry would remain, but that it would be significantly improved. Even while still swollen, I can see a huge improvement, and I've already received compliments from three friends about my new nose. I can breathe better now and have less sinus discharge. Most importantly, I no longer feel self-conscious about my nose. Each day, it seems to be getting a bit smaller, which is exciting. The renditions he provided of what my new nose would look like closely match how my nose appeared right after surgery before the swelling began. I would recommend Dr. Kim to anyone unhappy with their nose. I only wish I had found him sooner.

He got straight to the point, the plan was a brachioplasty and a pannulectomy, as I have a lot of back pain from the pannus hanging and pulling on my back. While I manage the skin will, the herniated disk pain is exacerbated by the skin. Unfortunately, insurance denied that procedure, and we will try for that another time. On October 24, 2024 Dr. Parrett performed a bilateral brachioplasty on me at Novato Community Hospital Same Day Surgery Center. It hasn't been 24 hours yet, but I want to get this review out there. Everything went well, I'm home and resting. I get up and walk every 2 hours and will tell you all, be sure to have caregivers because you'll need help with all of your personal hygiene, including using the restroom and eating. For context, I received 3cc facial Renuva injections in Beverly Hills two years ago but that…read moresurgeon didn't numb my face and those injections were more painful than actual surgery. Fast forward to this year, I read that Dr. Rajagopal was the number one Renuva provider in the country and her website stated that numbing cream was used. I was terrified of more pain but hopeful that this experience would be less painful. At this office, numbing cream was literally applied to my face for 30 minutes and then ice was applied afterwards. Although the injections were still painful, they were much more tolerable. Dr. Rajagopal has a gentle hand, a kind demeanor, and good aesthetic sense. I've seen four other different plastic surgeons but Dr. Rajagopal has given me the most faith in doctors. I wish that I had known about her earlier. I would definitely come here for Renuva injections or other treatments as needed. They are not inexpensive at 2500 for 3 cc. Dr. Rajagopal clearly cares about people and their comfort. This is very important as any surgery or injection is a stressful experience so bedside manners and genuine concern is priceless. The only odd thing was that I was presented the bill during numbing by a staff member. Payment is expected after treatment and I knew the cost beforehand so it was strange to get the bill during the middle of the procedure and then after the procedure again. I would have been happy to pay in advance if they are worried about people leaving without paying. In any case, the office staff was nice. There was easy and free private parking provided. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Rajagopal for her keen aesthetic eye and caring demeanor.

From the beginning after surgery, I noticed serious issues. One breast sits higher and is larger than the other, and I was told it would settle, but it never did. My nipples are now significantly larger due to over-stretching and are positioned so high that I cannot comfortably wear many normal tops or swimsuits. I also have permanent nerve damage. I have 0 sensation, and my scarring is uneven and extensive. When I brought my concerns to her, I was told by Karen I would need a revision, which was incredibly upsetting in itself. However, what was even more disheartening was the lack of care or follow-up afterward. The only communication I received from the office consisted of impersonal emails asking me to vote for Dr. Horton for "Best Of" awards or to leave a positive review, rather than any genuine concern for what I was going through. Before writing this, I sought out three separate consultations with other board-certified surgeons. All three confirmed the same thing: the work was poorly done, my breasts were completely botched, and I would require a full revision. I have since had my revision surgery with an amazing surgeon who did the absolute best he could to correct everything Karen had done to me. Unfortunately, much of the damage from my surgery with Karen is irreversible, and I'll forever have to live with a lot of the damage she did to me. Not to mention, Karen did not want to release my surgical records to my new surgeon so he could perform my revision. He had to personally contact her so we could finally get the paperwork. Once the paperwork was provided, we were surprised to see that Karen had self documented a diagnosis of body dysmorphia in my records, despite never having been diagnosed with that condition by a mental health professional. I actually love my body but wanted to make improvements to my breasts after having a child. Do not be swayed by awards, presentation, or the impression given during consultations and pre-operative appointments. I spent over $38k on this surgery with Karen to be absolutely botched. I don't believe she should be practicing at all after what she has done to my body and everything I have heard from many, many other surgeons after they saw my breasts and after my revision surgery as well. I would never want anyone else to go through what I have experienced. The value of being able to stand, undressed, with a new person, and to talk with them about your body is such an intimate act - and Dr. Xu handled this with me with expertise and grace. She validated my progress and was encouraging about future potential. Dr. Xu was professional and caring in every encounter. The office staff is welcoming and encouraging and humorous. The space is lovely and feels comfortable. The most wonderful thing is ... the outcome of the surgery, the contouring specifically is truly beautiful. I feel like I have my own natural arm shape and it feels freeing and makes me so happy. Surgery comes with scars and they are a trade off for me. I love my arms so much, even with the scars, which are still young and will heal and fade further. Scar tape works incredibly well and is a very low cost resource I highly recommend. For me, Dr. Xu's personality, her skill set, and her eye for esthetics are simply incredible. It is also clear that the office team is trying to provide an experience for their clients to feel welcomed, held, cared about, and supported throughout the process, including into recovery. One thing I would prepare others for who are considering this option is that the surgery center and anesthesiologist were an expensive part of the overall package. While I trust and feel confident with Dr. Xu, there are other people who also support the surgery. The anesthesiologist was trying to put an iv in my foot, which was painful, before Dr. Xu arrived and advised him to put me under first. That seems like something the anesthesiologist, with all his years of experience, should have known to do himself. The surgery itself went beyond the estimated time and both the surgery center and anesthesiologist had additional fees, increasing the overall cost by ~2k. With that said, I do highly recommend Dr. Xu to others. Go meet her and her team and hear her thoughts and see if what she can offer will meet your needs.

Dr Bermudez is not only exceptionally skilled…read moreat his craft, his practice is run with an exceptional level of integrity andd transparency. He leans just a bit more conservative and natural in his aesthetic sensibilities vs that average already very conservative and natural approach in the Bay Area and he has a sculptors eye, in addition to being an excellent plastic surgeon he is also an artist and created all of the sculptures adorning his office! I met Dr B when my infant son needed earwells and the wait at UCSF was too long to get in within the recommended treatment window - little did I know what a stroke of luck this was for my family. I'd done my research ahead of time and watched countless videos of earwell treatment (a non surgical ear reshaping procedure for newborns) where a doctor just pops the mold on real quick so that was my expectation. Not Dr B, he took time consulting with me and assessing my son's ears and their symmetry, I think he sensed that I was a little nervous and he told me that he had done his own daughter's earwells which I found very comforting. Then I watched as he very carefully and precisely used the earwell components to sculpt and shape my son's ears into a perfect shape being careful that both sides would come out the same. The level of care and attention that Dr B gave to the procedure was like nothing I'd seen in all my research. Quality was top notch for sure but then his office worked their magic on the billing and I was able to get my son this treatment at no out of pocket cost which was an extremely pleasant surprise. I decided to see Dr Bermudez for injectables when I started noticing some issues that needed a careful eye and Dr B came through for me again. It wasn't my first time getting Botox but I'd never gotten this level of care or patient education. Dr B first talked with me about options for the issue I wanted to address including risks/benefits/long v short term cost - he followed my lead but offered his opinion when asked. Then he took a look at my face and walked me through his thinking as well as a cliffs notes in facial musculature and anatomy. I have never felt so comfortable. The injections were super easy too thanks to his super powerful numbing cream and the results are truly extraordinary. You pay more per unit with Dr B but it is so worth it. Most of my friends get Botox and even so they were shocked to learn that my refreshed look was thanks to the tox too. It just looks like my face reverse aged with none of the telltale frozen cheer mom look, IYKYK. I will never let anyone else touch my face with injectables again. Finally, when I first went to see Dr B I read his reviews and saw folks mentioning bringing their family members to Dr Bermudez and I admit I thought that was weird but then I brought a family member in because when you trust someone like I trust Dr B you just don't want your family going anywhere else. Anyways Dr Bermudez won over my family member with his bedside manner and talked them out of a cosmetic procedure they were considering (this guy is the real deal with the integrity). They ended up deciding to see him for injectables and got some great aesthetic and medical advice in their consult and walked away feeling confident in their next steps. I had CO2 laser of face, neck and chest over a year ago and still dealing with redness around eyes…read moreand chest area that wasn't blended to have less of a demarcation to skin that wasn't lasered . The eye redness he noted was from something I did (false, I followed his post-op regimen) and he had no remedy for it . I sought outside opinions and most noted it was a bit excessive and to wait and if the eye redness didn't fade to then try to laser it with a laser specifically for red or get an injection 5fu to help the deep red scarring. The chest after a year still doesn't match and was told if I'm lucky the pigment may come back . He also took an additional Hour of OR time which cost me another $1000 at Hayes valley surgery center in SF. I've been told by several laser experts it should have taken less Then 1 hour if equipment and skill were correct. So as a retired OR nurse I've never spoke poorly of a surgeon but as they say there's a first for everything ! I'm hoping this saves others from the anguish and cost of a poorly done procedure ! Do your homework - I should have done more !
