Dr. Ohadi is my everything. She's hands down the best Dr I've ever had. She seeks real connections with patients which is really really rare in health care today. I've been seeing her for about 5 years now and I genuinely look forward to each visit. The BEST part is that she's my primary care Dr. but also my women's health Dr. so I can get regular physicals and women's health exams all in the same place. Dr. Ohadi takes the time to listen and fully realize all your questions and concerns. Her office staff is fit to match her excellence. I've never waited longer than 5 mins to get into the exam rooms and I've never been rushed out of the office for another patient even during particularly busy days. Dr. Ohadi is a concierge practice, so I do pay a premium to receive her care. I was a patient before the practice became concierge as well. I truly believe she's worth the addition funds to receive her exceptional care. I can 100% see why she decided to go the concierge route - she's THAT great, people were flocking to her like crazy. Even if Dr Ohadi was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of patients at times, she NEVER showed it and ALWAYS put us (her patients) first, so much so that it was probably doing a number on her health/stress levels, not to mention her personal life as well, I'm sure. Since switching to a concierge practice, she has created the ability to spend more time with patients, therefore providing the absolute best care possible. I'm all for it! I can email her if I have a quick question or if I need my records sent to me. I can request appts pretty much any time that fits my schedule. And you actually get through to her office when you call, no long wait on hold or "we'll call you back later" or automated voice message systems (only after office hrs). Somehow a review I wrote was deleted when I tried to update it, so I'll start fresh. I have seen Dr. Ohadi off and on for over 10 years. She has nice bedside manner and acts in a kind way. She is fine for basic issues, like meds for a bladder infection or antibiotics for an infection, but not more than that. When last she was my provider, I was dealing with a serious issue. At the time, she was going concierge, so she was caught up in that. Meanwhile my son had a serious health concern, so he went to her. He asked to get a full blood panel done. Her front desk girl called and said his results were normal. He communicated that he was still concerned because he was having numbness in his hands and feet. He left a message for Dr. Ohadi twice and she never called him back. I suggested he go see our eye doctor, as she is a great doctor. He described his issues to her and asked if she new a family doctor she could recommend. She said, "No, but it sounds like you are low in Vitamin B12 (something not even tested for on the blood panel). He got a B12 shot and his numbness went away. He is getting B12 shots semi-regularly and the problem never came back. Meanwhile back to me. When I turned to Dr. Ohadi regarding my situation, she basically said, "I'll help you with this one, but you are on your own after this." She did not say, "Call in to let us know how you're doing" or anything. Her focus was on going concierge (cash pay). Once I posted a review, she blew up my phone on a Friday afternoon -- calling 4 times from a blocked number. One of my clients has a blocked number, but he knows to text me if he wants to speak to me (too many telemarketers now, so I don't answer numbers i don't know). I decided to answer. When I did, Dr. Ohadi asked me how I was doing. I explained how much I was struggling with my health issue, but she didn't care to hear. What she cared about was a poor review on Yelp. I told her how she never returned my son's call. She said she'd look into it (saying she never got a message. I was there when he left both messages for her telling the receptionist he was alarmed by his symptoms at such a young age). She never did call him back. For the next 20 minutes, all she talked about was "I can't believe that after 10 years you would write a review like this." I asked her if she'd like to talk about why I would write this review we could schedule a time, as I was on a deadline and it was Friday. She kept me on the call for over 20 minutes, basically trying to shame me into taking down the review. I say, shame on you Dr. Ohadi -- for being so careless with my health issue and for never calling my son back and not even caring enough to give him the results yourself. The idea that a doctor would call and berate a patient for writing a truthful review is not even smart. If she had been smart, those 4 calls in a row, which resulting in me picking up should have been to communicate concern for how I was doing. Had she been smart enough to do that, and shown actual concern for her patient rather than her rating, I might have actually taken the review down. I was terrified when I was dealing with that health issue, and I felt very alone in the situation. I'm still dealing with the fallout to this day. I am now in the care of a doctor who is taking great care of me. He's close to retirement, but I value his experience. He is holistically driven, which I like. As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. All the best with your concierge business, Dr. Ohadi. Please don't call me about this review. Don't believe their lovely website. Was referred to Dr. Ohadi by a doctor I love who is unfortunately not accepting new patients. I checked out Dr. Ohadi's website and felt pretty good about giving them a try for my 15 year old son. The person who answered the phone was not the least bit knowledgeable or kind. I wouldn't call her rude? Mostly just clueless and dismissive. As soon as I said my 15 year old she cut me off right away and said oh we can't help you we don't do vaccinations. I hadn't asked for any, and that was not my reason for calling, but, the website says - "Immunizations are an important part of remaining healthy throughout a lifetime. Dr. Shadiar Ohadi offers immunizations for children and adults at her convenient office, located in Sherman Oaks, California." Despite the fact that the website says FAMILY practice, has pictures of children - including some of the doctor with children, the person on the phone told me they don't see children, well maybe they can see children, they only see elderly people, and oh I guess we can see your son. Despite Dr. Ohadi also being on my insurance website, she also says Dr. Ohadi doesn't take my insurance. But, for whatever reason I soldiered on. Thinking maybe this front office person is just new and doesn't know. So...I offered to pay cash and set up an initial appointment. After setting the appointment I found an online form on the website and sent a message hoping perhaps it would get through to the actual doctor summarizing why we wanted to see her. And why I was specifically wanting to see a DO. She got back to me rather quickly via email and basically referred me out to a concierge MD. One that I would have to not only pay out of pocket, but, a yearly concierge fee. Hours later the front desk person called to more or less cancel my appointment..."well we could still see you but"....and "you'll have to pay out of pocket...." So much for FAMILY practice. Maybe update your website. And think about training your front desk person a bit better. And after posting this - I had to come back to add in this edit - this very yelp page says pediatrics is part of the practice. read more

When we found out she was moving to a concierge model, we had major concerns as we couldn't afford the fee but at the same time didn't want to go through the rigmarole of finding a new GP that is both component and we connect with. So we decided to reach out to Dr. Ohadi's staff and explain our situation. They were more than willing to work with us and we were able to obtain a significant discount. During subsequent visits, we found out that there were specific circumstances surrounding their decision. I think people have assumed the worst and are posting negative reviews based on that. Dr. Ohadi is one of the most attentive doctors i have ever met! She listens to you and your needs. She cares so much that now she went concierge to make sure she can be available to her patients 24/7. Family Medicine doctors get so busy now that they schedule over 50 patients a day and provide less than 10 minutes of their time to each patient. Additionally, you have to wait months and months for your appointments. I would rather pay yearly membership to the person i trust and medical expertise i can rely on, knowing that i can get as much time as i need whenever i need it the most. I am so happy that dr. Both my wife and I had been seeing Dr Ohadi for many years. She offered good service for the years we saw her. She decided to change her practice to a concierge service which I understand and respect. Unfortunately, I have not gotten a replacement physician and need a one month extension on meds that I have been taking for over a decade and quite honestly, used to receive a 12 month prescription for. Dr Ohadi denied a one month extension on to my prescription which was unimaginable. Now I am left scrambling to find a new Dr and get a prescription which has not changed in over a decade. I love that she doesn't only focus on treating symptoms but also will help you get to the bottom of what's causing them. I have been dealing with multiple health issues over the years and was basically acting as my own PCP, trying to navigate diagnosis from different specialists that were not communicating with each other or with my PCP at the time. I had this review sitting in my drafts and today I get an email that she is becoming a concierge practice. What a waste of time. Took months to get seen as a new patient and now I'm going to have to start over with someone else... Not ok! My original review: I'm disappointed with how much of my time this office wasted. I scheduled a physical in April- the earliest I could be seen was July. I made my appt, July finally arrives and I'm told my appt is just a blood draw and my actual physical would be a month later. When I finally had my "physical"- SIX MONTHS after I called- the doc handed me scribbled notes on my blood work that I had to ask her to explain and then she rushed me out the door so swiftly that she actually had to call me after to tell me my ECG was irregular. Such a bummer bc she is a nice woman but she really didn't listen and I was her first appt of the day so she can't even say she was harried/rushed- there were no other patients in the office. read more

Dr. Ohadi's service was good in my first appointment with her, however, after our appointment I had a follow up question a few days later and she spoke to me for 60 seconds on the phone and charged me for a whole other appointment! (After looking at other reviews she does this A LOT) Her staff is soooo RUDE (also saw this in other reviews) and would not help me resolve the issue and fix the charge. They said because I spoke to the doctor it was considered an appointment. As someone who works in healthcare this is just not true, and is a disgusting abuse of practice when doctors do this to patients. Will definitely not return and I would go somewhere else. We had a appointment last Wednesday we set on their website a few weeks back and took a day off from work ti visit doctor. Called in office to let them know we are running a little behind, however they said they don't see us having a appointment today. I told the receptionist I have a photo I took a screenshot of as proof. She said next appointment is in February. I came to doctor Ohadi because I hadn't been seen by a doctor in a LOOOONG time. She was really great about answering all my questions. I didn't feel rushed at all. I enjoyed her energy, her charm and her care. Really, I was excited to find a doctor so close to home who my entire family could also see. I have two children 10 and almost 5, my partner and myself. It's the worst to have to drive all over town for a doctor! My kids don't get sick often, and I can use a device where the doctor comes to me, but it's not the same as bringing your kids to a doctor that they can build a relationship with. Let me tell you about my kids experience with her. My son, loved her as soon as he heard her name "OOOHAADDDIII LIKE KKAAARAATE!!!" She needed to check his whole body, and he got shy when the nurse came and didn't want to take his pants off, instead of her pushing him or forcing him, she quietly asked him if he and his dad wanted to goto another room for privacy and he agreed and proceeded with no problem! She made him feel secure and respected. And honestly, that made me so relieved. My daughter needed to have blood drawn and my 10 year old freaked out!!!!! F.R.E.A.K.E.D out. However, dr. Ohadi and her staff did not!! Never once did they speak harshly, force her, shame her or make her feel worse than she was already feeling. It took the doctor, her nurse,my daughters step dad and myself, to get hold of her and get her blood done. But, the doctor literally let us take almost 2 hours in her office to get 2 vials filled up. My daughter isn't scared to go back, and she says she still really likes the doctor. Which just goes to show how nice the doctor and her staff really are! Dr. Ohadi is a wonderful family physician. Initially, I tried to schedule an appointment with a different primary care physician from a large health corporation, however, I had to wait about 3 months until I could be evaluated. I did my own research and found Dr. Ohadi via yelp from her great reviews, and I was not disappointed. I was able to be seen in about 2 weeks. She was very thorough in her history and physical exam and made sure all my questions were answered. She did not order unnecessary tests or imaging studies, and was extremely knowledgeable about what I was being evaluated for. I know she is transitioning to concierge medicine and while it may not be ideal for some, I think it is the right move. The concierge care means that I can be evaluated more quickly and she can dedicate more time to my assessment. Unfortunately, our healthcare system today depends on primary care physicians seeing a higher volume of patients which translates to rushed patient care, and that is not ideal. I will continue to choose Dr. Ohadi as my primary care physician and I wish her the best. read more
