Not Happy!....Shade Pro installed my electric awning on my fifth wheel on May 11th 2021...it stopped working on July 8th 2021...that's less than 60 days!...It's only a switch and a motor, my fifth wheel is a 2004 and both my ceiling fans and everything else works perfect, WITH SWITCHES AND MOTORS!!!....it's 100 + degrees where I live, so I called Shade Pro...I was told unceremoniously that my installer was in Wyoming til July 31st and only then could they come look at it, is he their only installer?...THAT'S 23 DAYS WAIT JUST TO GET AN APPOINTMENT, IN SUMMER HEAT!...the awning helps keep the coach cool...I mentioned Yelp, and got a call back saying they were willing to come look at BUT NOT FIX IT but that's all they could offer...what good is that?....anyway, I told them I would pay my mobile RV guy to come fix it...I spent $1400 American on that awning, also had some window shades installed for a total of $2300 + tax, and I referred them my neighbor who purchased an electric awning from them...MONEY GONE!!!!!....if you use Shade Pro, this is the kind of service you can expect, make sure you have a mobile RV guy on the side on speed dial...for a few extra unnecessary bux!....shameful....I will be in our RV Park office on Monday advising my good friend the manager to advise against Shade Pro performing work in our park to protect the other tenants from being ripped off.... read more

If I could give no star I would , very unhappy with the customer service of this company. Where to start .. First a guy comes out and does an estimate ( half ass estimate) says I need new fabric and two new brackets. So I set up for install . The installer does what quote said I needed . Lady from office Cala for payment , takes my payment waits for it to clear then tells me oh btw you need new springs ! Excuse me ?? I said it would have been nice if the installer would have called to tell me before I spent 350+ dollars and can't use the dam thing . I was livid . Asked the speak to a manager . Manger said sorry sorry sorry all he can do if give me free labor if I want to do spring . Nope come take it off and refund my money or I'll dispute the charge . He Said ok . 30 min later calls back and said he can install used springs two days later . Have never heard back from the installer or company whether they went out . Kicker part is if the springs were bad the awning should have not rolled up . So we're the springs even bad to begin with ? Did he come and put used ones on ? Who knows haven't heard back from anyone , even after several calls . On top of all this , the installer failed to tell me that I have a bad latch . This company was referred to me by some friends and they are even shocked by the Poor service . Make sure your awning works before you pay this company does shady business . read more

We have used these guys on five different RVs since 1990. THEY ARE THE BEST and unlike Camping World they come to you ANYWHERE! And, unlike Camping World techs, the Shade Pro guy who does your work ANYWHERE IN USA knows what he is doing. If you are really lucky you will get Steve "junior"Levesque! This guy is smart and obsessed with doing the job 100% right. BUT NOTE that all SHADE PRO techs are superior! I KNOW BECAUSE I have done my own RV work too and just let Shade Pro do it now. This company is incredible. I had the slide awnings on my 18 year old motorhome replaced in Quartzite this winter. They came to my campsite and measured in the afternoon on a monday and installed the next morning at 10am again, at my campsite. In the couple of weeks following we encountered big winds and the new awning on my long slide tore. I phoned them, and they promptly sent a service tech to my home in Prescott, Arizona to replace the damaged one. There were no hassles, just incredible service. I have come to expect that no company stands behind their products or service, BUT THIS COMPANY IS THE EXCEPTION!! They were simply AWESOME. read more

I have been waiting weeks for my products to be completely delivered. I received the awning but now am waiting for the arms. When I called customer service, the lady said it is due to Carefree's system being down (the supplier) and they have no way of getting in touch with them. When I looked at Carefree's site, they acknowledge the site is down but customers can contact them via Facebook messenger, phone or fax. Was I lied to? We are full time RVers and called these folks because we were having trouble with our awning. We were cautious when we called them because NOTHING to do with an RV is cheap. The fellow that answered the phone said they would be out in 2 days to diagnose the problem. My husband asked what the charge would be and they said it would be "no charge" for an estimate. Though they were a bit late due to another job, Trevor serviced our awning and instructed my husband on how to service the awning for $45.00. REALLY? Usually they won't even speak to you for less than a $100 service call. Did I mention we were in Oceanside, CA, a good deal away from their location in El Cajon. ShadePro sent me an awning that did not fit so I returned it. They said they would cut it to fit and it would be done in about 2 days. It has now been a week and they are giving me the run-around, lying about the status of the order and never returning calls as promised. Beware of after-the-sale complete lack of support and a lying staff with ShadePro. I am now trying to cancel the order for a refund but doubt if they will help me at all.... read more

After waiting for over a year for slide out covers, first attempt the ordered the wrong design for covers, second attempt after having my install time zone changed 3 times they sent out 1 person to replace covers, their new employee Tim struggled to pull the fabric thru the spline, I asked several times why he wasn't using a lubricant. I ended up getting my ladder and assisted him in pulling the fabric thru. He left without reinstalling the bellows. The third visit was to correctly install the bellows and try to fix the now saggy slide out covers. Was now told the springs were shot and they would order new springs which would take 6 weeks. They called 6 weeks later and said they were in. Then called back and said they were the wrong springs. I'm still waiting for them to fix their mistakes. Will never deal with this company again!!!! read more

Be VERY CARFUL when you give this company your credit card info. I ordered a shade on the phone the person on the phone took my info and said it would not go thru. I told him I had to go to the bank and would call him in the afternoon. I decided I could live without the shade. One week later my card gets run for the shade. I called and asked what the heck. I was told by the same person Since it was sitting on the dock I decided to run your card. Two thing wrong. They held my cc info for one week, on a piece of paper I found out, and he ran the card without my permission. When I called them again I got a person who said he was the customer service manager and he didn't see any problem with what had happened. I asked to speak with his boss and I was told that his boss is the owner and he didn't talk to customers. BE CARFUL DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY. read more

Just had Shade Pro come out and put window awnings on our RV in Indio. Although they have someone out in this area full-time in the season, they still send folks out here once or twice a week, even during the summer. They were simple to deal with on both the internet and phone. Free estimates. Quality products (mostly Carefree, but they can handle any brands). Great prices. Jared showed up on time and did a wonderful job with the installation. We could not be happier. Highly recommend if you need awnings, window covers, slide-toppers, etc. read more

I'm so fed up with this company. I ordered a villa room enclosure and a tech was sent out to measure for it. Nothing was said at the time about the fact that if your awning has no pitch to it when it's fully extended that the room had to be taken down when it rains to avoid damage. It was no where on the website either that I could find. I was also told that I'd be able to put it up myself, since I was going to travel alone. When the installer came out to install it, I was worried because it wasn't until midway through the install that I found out it would have to come down if it rains but since it was supposed to be so easy to put up I pushed my fears aside. Sooo, on to the trip. When I got to my destination, I could not hold up the front panel by myself because I'm short and without a ladder (which I have no room to carry), my arms were giving out from trying to hold up all that weight while trying to zip it into place. It would not zip. The park manager tried, and 2 other people in the park tried. It would not zip because the teeth wouldn't align. Then it started to rain. That's when I was told that in this area I'm staying in, it rains pretty much every day during the month of July. At this point, I gave up. I called the company and said I didn't want the unused enclosure and was returning it. After a fight, they emailed me a shipping label. It took 6 weeks and multiple phone calls after UPS delivered it back to their facility to get a refund. There were different excuses, no name on the box (it was labeled on the outside and a note on the inside), etc etc. Well, finally after 6 weeks of waiting for my refund, I was given one of $572.54. I paid $715.67. So I'm out the remainder of the money and I'm just too exhausted to fight for the rest. All I can say is good luck if you decide to use them. read more

Having been in sales for over 30 years, I know customer service when I see it. A few years ago while visiting Quartzsite, the ShadePro guys saw me struggling with my RV awning. They stopped, offered to help, and had it fixed pronto! They refused payment, instead asked to keep them in mind when I needed an awning. Fast forward to today, when my Born Free awning arm broke in an accident. Steve Levesque from ShadePro was working on a neighbors unit and came over to look at my dilemma. The part I needed had been discontinued, but Steve went out of his way, on his own time, to find one in salvage. He replaced the part and charged me only what he was charged from the salvage place. Remembering what ShadePro said about remembering them if I needed a new awning, I promptly placed an order for new fabric material with Steve. It's this companies commitment to customer service and excellent workmanship that leads me to believe that there is still quality companies and employees like Steve Levesque out there. Product is good. Installation was not. I wish I would have installed myself . I would have used a level and tape measure so things were straight and spaced evenly. Just pretty much eyeballed everything and slapped it up as quick as he could. The thing is, it's permanent. Drilled in to my Rv sidewalks so it's not like you can take off and align properly . We have a 36 foot motorhome, with 2 slideouts. Both our slide toppers had torn, just sun damage on a 7 year old motorhome that is well enjoyed. We didn't want to do the large topper replacement, so we followed the suggestions on IRV2.com and contacted Shade Pro. They came to our site, in the Palm Springs area, and measured and gave us an estimate. Six days later one very talented installer arrived promptly (early in fact) and replaced both toppers easily, for a total of $350.00 (plus tax of course) with heavier vinyl than we had originally. They said that they were sorry and made another appointment for between 3 & 5 pm. At 4:50 we had to leave,the installer called at 5:30pm and said he was sorry but He could not make it. We set up a appointment after his days of for between 8 & 9 am. At 10am I called the 800 number to find out if he was going to make the appointment . The representative wanted to make another appointment, I told him NO! That they had THREE chances and I was not going to waste any more of my time with them and that I would find someone else for the windshield covers for my motor home !!! read more

We ordered a custom dash cover for our class A from Shade Pro and gave them our year, make, model and model number of our coach. The product arrived in a timely manner but it was several weeks before we were able to get to our coach to try it on. (Our coach is over 150 miles from us during the winter). They totally missed the mark on making this custom cover that would fit our dash. Over $200 was spent and it won't work. Sent them pictures of our dash and of their cover and asked for the correct dash cover and we will return the one they sent. NO RESPONSE! I would be very wary of dealing with them as their custom service is horrible. All we wanted was to get the correct cover for which we paid a lot of money. read more

Purchased a dash cover for my 2002 Monaco La Palma Class A motorhome. Since there were 2 possibilities for my year and model coach, they sent me 2 different patterns to check, to make sure I ordered the right one. Though they were a little slow in sending me the patterns, once received, I ordered and paid for the product. 5 days later my dash cover arrived. The fit is fantastic and the material is high quality that requires no adhesive or velcro to get it to adhere to the dash. I'm very pleased with the product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a large RV dash cover. read more

I recently had a windshield cover installed and prior to that we had all the shades in the coach replaced and prior to that had window awnings put on our coach. All this within seven months. When my wife contacted the office about installing the windshield shade, she also inquired about a discount and was informed this had to be discussed with the installer. Didn't think that was a good business tactic, but we did inquire and was informed, no discount. he later came back and said we would get a "5%" discount due to my being retired Navy. Not much, but then every little bit helps. I then attempted to contact the office requesting information regarding their "no discount" policy and have not heard back. To add insult, we did refer ShadePro to a friend where we are parked and she inquired about a "referral" reward and was informed "we don't do things like that". This may seem trivial, but in todays market, one would think one would try to be a little more customer friendly. On a positive note: Every installation was always done with professionalism. The installers arrived on time, reviewed the job order, cleaned up when done. Based on the installers professionalism, I would recommend ShadePro. Working with Shade Pro has been the worst experience! I ordered a windowshield shade cover, and it was supposed to be installed apx 10 days later. After waiting most of the day for installation, I called customer service because no one showed up. When I called they stated that they never received my order and forgot to let me know it would be another week before it was going to be completed. Waited another week. Again no one showed up. Called again and this time they can't even find my order. Not sure why anyone would give this business their money. read more

THE ABSOLUTE BEST! I can't thank everyone at ShadePro enough for replacing the awning on our RV so we could use it for a week-long camping trip with family and friends. Christine was awesome and got us booked even though it was a busy upcoming holiday weekend. Two days later, Trevor came out to install it and was extremely professional, fast and efficient. The awning was perfect and the time it took him to install it seemed less than it took to call most other companies, get through their phone maze, get put on hold and finally get a hold of someone who could give me much higher estimate. Unlike other companies I called, their price was all inclusive (mobile installation, labor, and material) and hundreds lower then the closest competitor and they had the awning in stock! The other 3 companies I called said they would have to order it, which could take up to 2 weeks. Besides the great price and customer service, the awning itself looks and works perfect. Beware!! Had them quote a custom patio cover. The technician who came out was knowledgeable and provided a complete bid in writing. He sent me a text the following day to apologize and said that the office wanted to charge more. He provided me with another bid in writing that was $400.00 higher. I contacted the office to discuss the confusion and also inquired as to a warranty. I didn't catch the girls name at that time but was told without exception they do not provide warranties for custom work. She also said that the 2 bids were being reviewed by the owner and I would receive a call back. The call back came from a person named Christine who now told me that the bid actually increased again by another $300. Because we really needed the work to be done I offered to pay half of the initial $400 increase. Christine refused my offer but added if I paid the extra $700 they would now offer me a 1 year warranty. I said you mean the same warranty you refused to provide previously?? I asked her to email me this 3rd bid so I could contact the owner directly as something had to be wrong here. When I didn't receive her email I called Christine again who stated that all of my information had been deleted from their computer. I immediately sent a letter to the owner on record. No response has been received. I'm sure they will respond to the BBB. read more

Do not use this company! I own a mobile RV repair business. Ordered an awning for a couple who had their awning destroyed in a storm. Insurance paid for the repair. Received the awning and it was installed. Then realized it could not be used because it was assembled incorrectly at the factory and the release would not work. Called customer service. Sent pics. They requested more pics. Then they sent a part to "fix" the issue but had nothing to do with the issue. Called back. Asked how to correct the issue. Customer service said there is a way I could take the awning down, tear it apart, and correct the issue. I don't feel like I should have to but ok, how do I do that? Nothing. They sent me the installation manual for the awning. Thanks, I already have that. Customer service knows nothing about actual installation. In the meantime the customer has decided to leave this weekend. No one can say how to fix it or what I did wrong. Just said that since it's already installed there is nothing they can do. I can ship it back they said, but it would be very expensive and must be insured. Just tell me how to fix it.... but they can't. Only thing they can say is that it's my fault.... but can't tell me what. Supposedly their lead technician is going to call me tomorrow but we'll see. I have very little faith, but if they can make it right I will change my review. Customer service has no knowledge of the product, are very rude, and very condescending. Worst customer service I've ever had from an RV supplier. read more
