Do not use this company! I own a mobile RV repair business. Ordered an awning for a couple who had their awning destroyed in a storm. Insurance paid for the repair. Received the awning and it was installed. Then realized it could not be used because it was assembled incorrectly at the factory and the release would not work. Called customer service. Sent pics. They requested more pics. Then they sent a part to "fix" the issue but had nothing to do with the issue. Called back. Asked how to correct the issue. Customer service said there is a way I could take the awning down, tear it apart, and correct the issue. I don't feel like I should have to but ok, how do I do that? Nothing. They sent me the installation manual for the awning. Thanks, I already have that. Customer service knows nothing about actual installation. In the meantime the customer has decided to leave this weekend. No one can say how to fix it or what I did wrong. Just said that since it's already installed there is nothing they can do. I can ship it back they said, but it would be very expensive and must be insured. Just tell me how to fix it.... but they can't. Only thing they can say is that it's my fault.... but can't tell me what. Supposedly their lead technician is going to call me tomorrow but we'll see. I have very little faith, but if they can make it right I will change my review. Customer service has no knowledge of the product, are very rude, and very condescending. I had my RV Awning 12volt upgrade installed by Trevor on 1-29-16. He did an excellent job on installing the arms, switch, etc. The only mistake he made was tapping into my basement lights circuit which is only 15amps. While we were in Yuma April 5th, the awning stopped working. I called ShadePro in San Diego and they sent Jeremy to check on my problem. He tried to locate the problem for a couple of hours in 105 degree heat without success. He told me there was a break on the 12volt line and a designated new 12volt line needed to be installed. I told him all I needed was to bring the awning in so that I could travel back to San Diego and I would call their main office to find out what could be done about it. Upon my return I called and spoke with Michael. He was rude, short and unpleasant to talk to, he told me sending me a tech to run a designated line would cost me $300 to $500. I told him I would do it myself and I did, in less than 2hrs. I went to San Diego Trailer Supply to have them check the basement circuit problem and Dave found it within minutes. It was linked to an overheated three way switch in the wet bay, the switch failed, due to the overload awning motor. My basement circuit is working and my awning are again working great, for les than $130. My complaint is the rudeness of Michael. I was seeking Shade Pro customer service for advise on how to approach my problem and I didn't get it. Think twice before using them. read more

Great service, very accomodating. They came to our home in Newport Beach to measure an awning replacement for our motorhome. A couple of weeks later when the replacement arrived they went to Outdoor Resorts in Palm Springs to install it. Purchased an patio awning replacement for our Dometic A&E 8500 awning on our 5th Wheel and was concerned it would be of lesser quality than the original. The awning arrived in less time than expected and it is beautiful! The original was in one piece and we weren't sure how the two pieces would look. It looks fine and was easy to install. Purchased an awning shade from Shade Pro over the phone. I paid extra for a custom size but when the shade arrived it was several inches short in length and width. I called customer service and was instructed to repackage the shade I had received, they would have the package picked up, and they would send a new shade. All of this was accomplished in about 7-days. The new shade was exactly the right size. What a pleasure it is to do business with a company that stands behind their product. Great service! read more

Needed a new awning mailed to me fast. Called them, ordered the part, told them I needed it fast, and it was delivered the next evening. Now granted, I live about 3.5 hours from their office, but they got it to UPS fast and the rest was just time for UPS to do their thing. Their customer service is top notch. You guys are awesome. Looking for a RV dashboard cover? We contacted ShadePro from Northern California and were told they did not have a custom dashboard cover for our 2013 Thor Tuscany. They had one for a 2014 & 2015, so they sent us a paper pattern to see if they matched. They did not. We started full timing once we sold our home and had planned to be in Chula Vista Ca, south of San Diego. ShadePro sent Juan to our RV park to take measurements. He was very professional and experienced. We just received the dashboard cover and could not be happier. All for only $269! What an awesome company... thank you so much! read more

The best thing about Shadepro is the we're happy to cancel my order for an RV dashboard cover. After placing my order I received a shipment from them within 2 weeks, great, so I thought. Took the cover out to my rig kept in a secured lot to find in no way did this thing fit my RV. Called them up, and they agreed they'd sent the wrong one, and they would send out their pattern guy to my rig to assure the right fit, great. I called a few days later to see when they'd send out the correct cover and heard they were back ordered 7-10 days out....."they'd call me". Of course the didn't call so I called them 11-12 days later......."they'd call me". Anyway, this went on and my last call, now about 2 months later, they had no status for me. So don't spend $365 for a dash board cover and end up wasting a bunch of time, find somebody else or use an old beach towel. read more

Shade Pro will get your awnings done quickly as they get their money fast. They seem like good people and I was happy with their installations. The problem with them comes after the installation if there are any problems. On my first trip after they installed my new awnings one of the end plates fell off. They, obviously, did not tighten the screws properly. I called them and they said that they would order me a new plate and should have it installed in about a week. A week went by and they said that they had the plate and would come out in a couple of days. They showed up knowing nothing about the plate, but took a picture of it. It was never ordered. So an order was supposedly placed again. About 10 days later when they said that they would put a new plate on, they took a second picture of the plate area, but the office told me that the plate had been shipped to Phoenix and they would have to get it back to their office in CA. After several more phone calls, I was told by Michael in the office that he had the part in his office and that he would ship it to me that day. About five days went by and no end plate showed up. I called Michael and asked him why I never got the plate. He said that he was mistaken and he never had the plate in his office and that it was still in Phoenix. He then said again that he would be getting the plate and to call him next Tuesday, about 5 days later. I called him today and he had the day off. I talked to Justin in the office and he said that he had ordered the plate in the past, but did not know where it was. I have made, at least, 8 calls to these bumbling fools in the office and I am fed up. I ordered the plate myself and had it shipped to me. I am disputing the amount for the plate with my credit card. Shade Pro is fine to get your job done quickly, so that they can get their money, but after that you have to deal with the inept management. These guys have no clue as to what the other hand is doing or they do not want to make their work right. Make sure before they leave to get the job completed right. Go around and make sure that they have done the work right and tightened up all your end plates. The only reason that this company survives is that they make a lot of money on their lucrative marked up awning installations. read more

Quality awning at a good price from friendly people. That said, it truly seemed like the people on the phone didn't communicate with the people in the field, and vice versa. We called to make arrangements to have our awning replaced and made an appointment easily. Too easily. We asked if they wanted measurements or a color selection, and were told that the guy would have everything on his truck when he came out. The guy arrived on the chosen day, 40 minutes after his 1-hour window, with nothing on his truck but a tape measure and some swatches. When we explained that we were under the impression he would be installing the awning that day, he said that 3 other customers had the same misunderstanding that week, and that his customer service people were giving customers the wrong information. Frustrating to say the least, considering we moved our trailer and arranged our schedule to accommodate the installation. So we scheduled another appointment--this time explicitly describing our expectation that at the conclusion of the next appointment we would have a new awning completely installed. The guy arrived on the chosen day, this time 30 minutes after his 1-hour window (to be fair, when I called at the end of the 1-hour window the person on the phone told me that they had me scheduled for a 2-hour window...another misunderstanding), and was very friendly and did a great job installing the awning. I would use them again...armed with plenty of patience, a sense of humor, and faith that in the end it will all work out. read more

I had three different appointments with ShadePro to replace the fabric over the slider on my fifth-wheel. The first appointment, 3/14/15, was at a campsite in Quartzsite, AZ. where the installer showed up but without the fabric. At that time another appointment was made for the work to be done on 3/18/15 at my home in the Coachella Valley, Thou I was given a printout of the work, labor, cost, time and date, the second installer said that he could not do the work because he was too busy that day. So we changed the installation to be done two days later, 3/20/15 between 2:00-3:00 PM. On 3/20/15 at 3:30 I called the main office to inquire if the installer was going to show up. I was told that the installer was in the area and that I was going to be his next stop. The installer never showed up or even call me. The office never called me. Three appointments. No work done. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE COMPANIES SCHEDULING AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS. read more
