Great place to get all you can eat shabu shabu. Super friendly service, a huge selection of items. The meat was better than expected, pretty good quality for what it is. Overall, highly recommend and I would come back.

I didn't even know this place existed until my friend recommended it! Solid spot for hot pot. We came on a Thursday afternoon, and it wasn't too busy. The inside is large, spacious, and clean. I got the fresh beef bone gravy base soup which was pretty basic but still good. For lunch time, we were allowed to choose from meats #5-11. Our favorites were the beef belly- thin and tender. The sauce bar was lit; they had everything you could possibly need. Additionally, the noodle selection was great. They had ramen, egg, kale noodles and a few others. Fresh vegetables and seafood. They also offered japchae, tteokbokki, and fried rice along with typical side dishes such as a variety of kimchi. The selection all around was amazing. The ice cream was really tough to scoop out, so I got as much as my strength could give lol. I liked the subtle coffee flavor. Our server was super sweet and social. I would definitely love to come back!

Decided to check out Shabu Town for our very first hotpot experience. And unfortunately I was severely disappointed with the service especially after stating we have never done hotpot before. After our initial order, we were left waiting and waiting for our next round of meats. Finally we had to go up and let one of the servers know we have been waiting and want to order more food. For an all you can eat place, it almost felt like it wasn't. They were super quick with the check though! The broths were kind of bland, but the sauces definitely helped bring some flavor to the meal. The side buffet was really nice. Lots of accompaniments along with some seafood. Due to the service alone, I don't see myself coming back here.

Amazing prices! Great place to go to if you are skipping school. So much fun, so much food. Our server was good

Price is decent, lots of parking spaces shared with other businesses such as Big Lots. Service is friendly yet slow but also, they're short staffed. There was only two people taking orders and maybe a manager to assist. Other staffs handled emptying plates and restocking the buffet area. If you're into good broths and good meat selections, this is not the place. If you're new and don't care, come here. Individual broth pots, which is fine but the broths taste like instant noodles packets. The meat slices are so thin, it's thinner than rice papers. You cannot get any thinner than this. However, the vegetables selections are quite good. Clean and fresher than most AYCE hotpot buffets. There's a good selection of seafoods and noodles as well. There's enough space to walk and to eat. This place can be the it place. There's room for improvements. Have thicker slices of meat and better broths can top this AYCE buffet.

Already took 18% tips and recommended more . . $28 tips for 4 adult and one toddler is enough .

We arrived 1.5 hours before closing, with a group of four adults and one toddler. After an hour, we received the check, which included a $28 gratuity fee. I had heard that automatic gratuity is typically applied for groups of six or more, so I was surprised to see it added to our bill. This might explain why the service was slow around 8 o'clock. When we paid with our credit card, the receipt showed suggested tip amounts, which I found shocking. This was our first visit and will definitely be our last time here.

We tried different soup bases - they were all way too bland and taste exactly like instant ramen soup. The server was really nice explaining their rules at the beginning, but not saying anything when dropping meat and rushed away. And look at these beef slices - they are the most skinniest slices I've ever seen. Sorry to say we were disappointed, but I would not be back.

One of the best kept secrets in Katy and hotpots! We frequent Shabu Zone down in Alief Chinatown, however, the crowd is always massive there and a long wait if you don't get there early enough. Discovered this place from a friend and if you want to avoid the crowds and go to a cleaner environment, then this is the place for you. Shabu Town took over a Chinese buffet which was sadly what I remembered as a pretty good Chinese buffet restaurant. The location isn't that great for business but hopefully this place will stay running. The meat is good quality. I like their premade sauces as well. They also serve japchae (Korean noodles), fried rice and tteokbokki (Korean spicy rice cake) on occasions. They used to bring out ice cream to you after dinner upon request, which I liked because you didn't have people digging their arms and hand to scoop out ice cream, but unfortunately ice cream is now self-serve like Shabu Zone. This place is for you if you're craving hotpot and don't want to spend too much.

Came here with a friend on a Saturday night for dinner. We didn't have trouble finding parking or a table at all. The service was quick and have a family fe to it. Each person at the table gets their own soup base so it's easy to customize it to your liking. The toppings/add ons to the hotpot is plentiful. There are 3 long bars just for these. There is nothing missing. If you want it, it's there. There is also a lot of options to customize your own dipping sauce as well. I had the bone broth soup. I had high hopes for this broth, but it came out a little plain for my taste. Good thing the dipping sauce saved it. Overall, I would come back and recommend this place to others.

The menu is big, but every item on it is executed so well. The flavors are comparable to that you'll get in Korea, with the side dishes few but perfect (the kimchi, jjangachi, and radish kimchi). My favorite is the gamjatang---there is so much meat, the potatoes are piping hot, and the soup is perfectly seasoned and rich. The pancakes and blood sausages are also delicious. I love coming here whenever I crave authentic Korean food: everything from the service to the meal itself is top-tier. The prices are also very very reasonable, especially lunch prices! Parking is plentiful and it's right off the freeway. You have to come here for the best Korean food in the area---I drive all the way from the Medical Center to come here, and it never disappoints!

Every single dish was spot-on and the portions were quite generous. If I had to pick, the Japchae, Jajang Myeon, and Spicy Seafood Jjampong Soup were especially memorable. A thick noodle is used for the Japchae which held on to the flavor really well and provided more of a bite. The Jajang Myeon and Soup were absolutely bursting with flavor - bold, rich, and truly satisfying. They perfectly captured the essence of what these dishes should taste like: delivering a home-cooked taste at restaurant quality. As typical of Korean restaurant, every meal comes with an assortment of banchan. The kimchi was perfection and it seems like there are unlimited refills for the banchan. Let's not forget that this is a Pocha! There are lots of drink options and they are open late. This also makes for a great place for large groups and seating ranges from open tables or private booths for those looking for something more private. There is an open stage where I suppose open-mic karaoke used to take place, but as of 01/2025 management has put up signs stating it's currently not in use due to noise complaints from the neighbors. Still, there are plenty of private karaoke rooms to be put to use. This place is a hidden gem - it seems like a well-kept secret tucked away in this little neighborhood. I really hope the place gets more traffic in the future. They really deserve it! Overall really great place to come chill at with friends they've got the food, drinks, and karaoke covered.

We love the team and their service. Our last visit was little off or not pleasant as in our first meat was really bad to an extent it was chewy and we had to throw it away. The other thing was that our server was way too busy and focused on other table or they were short staffed during afternoon and the place was empty not packed nor busy. We will be back again hopefully it gets better.

They typically speak English, are friendlier, and address you as sir or ma'am. The young staff are the ones hosting, ordering, and handling the bill. The older staff are the ones cooking your meat in front of you. It's a hit or miss as I have been here and another location multiple times. Not all, but some of the cooking staff are very hasty to cook as they jump from table to table. They splattered oil (which can happen) and didn't apologize about the incident. No acknowledgment. The older staff are not as friendly. But again, I have seen moments, where they are so considerate, and cook at another table (other table was empty). Could be a language barrier thing also. I prefer that they slow down on the cooking, or even allow me to cook myself. 2. Price - we roughly paid $90 for 3 people. 1 meat dishes is roughly $30. 3. Ambiance - as soon as you walk in, you smell the aroma of grilled meat. You get a sporty bar vibe with metal tables, neon lights everywhere, but if I recall correctly, there are sport channels on tv. Haha. Instead they have KPop music videos playing on tv. Dress code here is casual. Table is small for this type of food. 4. Food - They have combination deals, but we opted to order individually. We decided to add as we needed more. For a party of 2.5, we had about 3 meat dishes. That was more than enough. If this is your first time, I recommend to get their BEEF BRISKET, PORK GALBI, and THINLY SLICED PORK BELLY. You get one bowl of rice per order of meat dish. You have to pay extra for any extra bowls of rice. The meal was good each time we come! 5. Cleanliness - dining area and restrooms are clean. SUMMARY: I do recommend this place for Korean BBQ. I will come again.
