Came In To get some tubes and tires for my daughters fixie. I got what I wanted. Great prices and service was ok. Downside is no showroom/walk in. 3 years later and they still wear masks and don't allow people inside. Whatever I guess. I'll probably come back if I need to. I didn't have a bad experience. My daughter loved the color of her tires and the tubes were priced fairly. Support local. Thanks for the help guys. Keep it up. read more

Beware of inconsistent prices. I walked in to buy parts and then later checked that the prices listed online were cheaper. Shady business practice. What a shame they seem to have some cool inventory too. read more

Yes the owners are very helpful they do have a limit on stock at the store but they can order for you online and get it from their warehouse pretty quick. You can't beat the prices anywhere let alone if you can find the stuff they carry. read more

I'd like to preface by mentioning, I did not buy any part or service here. I recently picked up my first mountain bike and upon returning home, I was having some problem with my front brake pads after removing the wheel. With a ride coming up in an hour, I didn't know what to do so I called SGV Bicycles for some help. Henry, who picked up the phone, was very patient and understanding. He mentioned that they were closing soon but was willing to look at it despite that fact. Within 5 minutes, he had solved my problem and taught me "best practice" cases when transporting my bike. He gave me a shim for free and sent me on my way without trying to charge me anything. Great people here! read more

TLDR: fantastic service and fantastic track bikes. The best you will get in this price range! Long story: I was in need of a new track bike after my precious custom Fuji Track Pro was stolen last week. It was foolishly expensive (~$1500) because building cool and unnecessarily high quality track bikes part-by-part was a hobby of mine 15 years ago. Now though, I just needed something that was decent quality, reasonably priced, and reasonably sexy. I spent a few days looking around on offer up/craiglists/FB marketplace to see what options exist these days. It seemed the sweet spot was between $400-$700 based on things like a new tracklord or used fuji track pro/leader. However the bike that really caught my eye was this weird, seemingly self-made bike called the Raptor (or Cyborg) from SGV bicycles. It had the coolest frame I'd seen in my price range, this awesome 70mm chonker of a rear wheel, and seemed easily customizable to my liking (drop bars, etc). Rather than spend weeks continuing the search for a used bikes (and likely still ending up running into issues with whatever I get) I decided to drive down to SGV (1 hour away) and check it out in person. I was greeted by Zoe at the door who was super friendly. It was a bummer and a little awkward that I had to stand outside, as their showroom is still closed, but she happily tolerated my barrage of questions and brought a Raptor out for me to take a look at. After about 20-30 minutes of discussion--including finding out the frame was designed by Henry's (the other co-owner) brother!--I concluded to YOLO and pull the trigger on the purchase. Henry built it out for me with leader track drops, a 17T cog, and a seat pad at no extra charge. I also added some Wellgo straps for an extra $20. They even worked with me to adjust the seat 5 or 6 times until it was the perfect height. Been riding it every day for a week now and have had zero issues. I will probably replace the pedals with some higher tier sealed cartridge ones soon, but other than that i suspect I'll be riding this thing as is for years to come. Overall I am super happy with my purchase and couldn't recommend SGV or the Raptor/Cyborg more highly! Thanks Zoe and Henry :) read more

Picked up new bikes for my wife and son. Really appreciate the time Zoe took with us to get the right bike for my growing boy (14 years old and 5'10") so that he will have years of use out of it. Had them add rear brakes and swap out to different color wheels and we were still done in under 20 minutes. Finding a shop that isn't trying to push $800+ bikes took some time, thankfully we found SGVbikes. read more

I found the cutest fixie bike on offer up and it was listed by this shop. So I messaged them asking if they would be open tomorrow which would be 4th of July. They replied after about 30 minutes saying yes they would be, so my husband headed to La Puente to pick up my new ride the next day. Not so fast! Due to social distancing everything is done curbside no one is allowed in the store and these beautiful combinations are custom made so they actually have to be built. The woman out front explained to him the features of the bike and answered any questions he had. So he paid for it and they said they would call in a few hours when it's ready to be picked up. In about an hour and a half she was ready! Say hello to my lil friend .... Summer :) thank you SGV Bikes I love it! If your looking for a custom color fixie check them out. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service, they will not respond to your emails. I got a one sentence snarky response and no further replies. I was prepared to spend $700 on a frame I really wanted but could not get them to answer any questions, so I took my business elsewhere. I've never encountered a business that so badly avoided wanting to make a sale. As much as I wanted to buy the frame they had and support a small business, I could not support a business with such lousy customer service. They don't even serve people in person anymore due to the pandemic, so you'd think they'd at least attempt to have some semblance of decent customer service with their online store. read more

They simply lied to me and had no problem doing it. For 2 weeks, the tracking number I had been sent just showed the label was printed. It was not picked up by USPS. After receiving no answer through email, I called. I was immediately told to email. When I said I already did and got no answer, they finally looked up my order. They said it was packed and ready to be picked up and that the problem was with USPS. Claimed it would be picked up that night. The next morning, I received a cancellation and my money back, with a note that said there was not enough stock to fulfill the order. After 2 weeks. So I was flat out lied to. Not only that, but they didn't bother offering another choice. My daughter has been waiting to ride her bicycle and now I have to start over again somewhere else. Will not do business with them again. read more

I came in yesterday on a Saturday to buy handlebars for single speed bike and picked up a ton of other stuff as I live in HB and wanted to make it worthwhile. I came after work as fedex hub is 20 minutes away while Huntington Beach my home is an hour lol. They are open but for curbside only and also ship online. Thank the Lord for google as that is how I found them via their google shopping ads. They got the best handlebars I seen for fixie and single speed bikes. Vibe: The 2 people helping me were very pro, informative, polite, educational, helpful, and awesome. They were non-pushy and I felt their vibe was awesome. I never had such a great experience buying at a bike shop and what's funny is I stood outside the whole time while they helped me which shows you how good they are. Price: their prices are very good. Definitely helped me balance how my gas consumption to get their . Just FYI, if you want cheaper prices bring money and don't use debit card credit card. I look forward to buying stuff from their website in near future as place is far for me. I might do a bike ride up their using the riverbed and load up on stuff. This place gave me hope in local bike shops as I have been having bad experiences at the bike shops over here. read more

THEY ARE SUPER NICE. Stopped by today for a bottom bracket, new pedals, and the bottom bracket tool. I get it it's pandemic season but they left a sour taste in my mouth. First the buying experience. They told me to show up one day, I showed up, oh sorry we're in lunch time. I left cuz I'm not just going to wait there. So I had to return another day. That alone right there is a waste of time. The bike Very nice bike I must admit but very cheaply made. Why cheap I say? Because not even a month in my pedals fell off. Maybe they didn't put the pedals right? I don't know but even the crankset got messed up, mind you I had it for a month this shouldn't happen. So now I have this messed up bike. I called sgv up to see if they can do repairs and this is what made me write this review because all I get from them is a "because of the pandemic we don't do repairs" WHAT??? You don't repair your own bikes? So what you just sell defective ones?? Wow what a great business model rob people from their money and make them spend more money to fix their defective bikes elsewhere. I should've taken my business elsewhere. read more

Awesome bike, awesome customer service, really quick shipping I ordered my bike on a Monday and received it the next day

It's an awesome place to take your bikes to get fixed, they are very friendly and very helpful

I have been searching all over Los Angeles for a cost effective place to buy a new fixed cycle bicycle where I could customize my colors. I was not so interested in components as I was more interested in picking and choosing the color of the frame, crank, wheels, rims, handlebars, levers, etc. Save the gas you would spend going to all the bike shops in LA trying to buy something straight from the rack. Instead, save your gas and put it towards a sharp looking bike tailored exactly to how you want it. The whole purpose about the fixed cycle is not only a great workout, but to make a fashion statement and express your personality. Here is a picture of the new bicycle. Snazzy right? Great people, great service, and happy smile for me. $510 and I was happy paying it. I was on the pricier side, most bicyles will cost $275-$400. read more

I ordered the 6ku fixie bike in mint green from amazon.com which was shipped and sold by SGV Bicycle. The mint color is really cute. Great buy for the price. I wanted a light, single speed, free wheel bike for riding around flat, city / neighborhood streets. This bike does the trick. It's easy to ride, easy to assemble (it ships partly assembled), and luckily comes with both a fixed and free wheel gear. (I had a hard time finding a bike that came with a free wheel gear...many of them are just fixed gear and I'm just not that intense of a rider and just wanted a bike for leisurely riding). If you don't have experience with assembling bikes, take this one to a shop to have assembled. It will run you almost $100 but you really need to make sure everything is lined up just right and assembled properly otherwise you could run into trouble down the road. All in all I really like the bike. Perhaps if I enjoy biking with this bike enough I'll take the plunge and get a higher end bike but those can easily run over $1000 and for now this cute little bike will do just fine. read more

Although I wasn't able to ultimately buy a bike with SGV, I had a great experience with them today. We placed an order online and read that it was best to also call and make sure the bike is actually in stock. We received a call back right away. The bike we wanted was not in stock but they did offer another option (we didn't go with it but I was happy to see they offered). By the time we got off the phone, the money was back in my account. I saw the recent bad reviews and my inkling is that they may just be adjusting to the high demand the pandemic is causing. They were quite kind on the phone. read more
