When I came back to pick up later no one spoke English and I could barely explain to these two ladies what curtains were. When they finally figured it out they said they only excepted cash. Terrible service! 2 times in a row I had to wait an extra day for my alteration. They never called me at all. Wasted trip and Gas and Time! Then months later I gave them another chance... this time I needed a pair of jeans repaired and they said tomorrow at 3pm. Quoted me $12. When I arrived at 6pm, they were not ready. They scrambled quickly to repair. After waiting 15 minutes they added a $5 rush fee to my order! All this after I reminded them they were a day late the past 2 times I came in. I used Fatima's services to alter a dress for my sister's wedding and it will be the last time they will ever have my business. The dress itself looked good after it was all said and done but the service to get there was horrible. First, I go in to get a quote from her for the changes I needed made and she said it would be $50-60 then I bought the extra fabric and took it to her, she told me it would be 1-2 weeks and she would call me when it was done. 2 week's later no call, I called them and she had not even started and to give her a few days. I go to finally pick it up and she added too much fabric and had to take it back in and do other changes-never did she once say that the changes made would add to the initial quote. It takes her another week to fix those changes and when I got to pick it up and pay for it she tells me it is going to be $156. When I questioned it she got upset and defensive saying she didn't work for free. I explained that I certainly do not expect her to work for free but I have a problem with getting charged 3x more than quoted; if the changes made where going to cost more she should have stated something before those changes were done so I could have evaluated it then and not getting told after the fact. She told me she could bring it down to $125 or undo everything she did and just have it the way that was originally quoted (with a lot of attitude) and her assistant calmed us down and I said I would pay for it but I would not be coming there again. So I paid and did she hang up the dress or hand it to me? No. She folded it up on her desk for me to go grab. Very unprofessional. On top of that she doesn't speak very much English, the store is too small for all the stuff they have crammed in there's, and the dressing room is a joke. The only positive was that her assistant was nice and tried to make it better. Still, I will not go there again or will I ever refer someone there. read more

Terrible experience. Took 2 pieces of clothing there to get a button sewed back on each one. 1 single button. They told me it would take a week, which I thought was a little long for sewing 2 buttons on but whatever. TWO weeks went by and I hadn't gotten a call that my clothes were ready so I stopped by to see what was up. The girl couldn't find my items and then I noticed them just thrown on top of a rack of clothes. Not even hanging up or in a bin or anywhere that looked like they were going to get to it. Just thrown up in a heap! I pointed them out to her and she apologized and said they would be done in 3 hours. So now magically they can sew 2 buttons on in 3 hours when originally I was told a week? I went back the next day and my clothes were ready but I will never take anything back there again. Stay away from this shop! read more

Terrible - do not use this place. I took my beloved king size green palm-pattern comforter that had a small tear or rip on the top and asked if they could stitch it back or put an inside patch on, since I did not have a sewing machine.They assured me yes and quoted me about $20.00 and that it would be ready in one week. I returned on the appointed day - they were closed - for no apparent reason. I returned the next day, it wasn't ready. I saw it was laying on the dirty floor and expressed my concern. They assured me it would be ready the next day. I returned again, this time to find they had sewn a HUGE ugly dark green, canvas looking patch on TOP to cover the tear. The tear was about 3" and the patch was about 16" square. NOT what anyone would want or do! I was outraged. Suddenly, they don't speak English. One of the ladies tries to gesture and tell me it smells and is dirty, and I am furious because it has been sitting in the dirt for over 2 weeks in their shop. Using sign language I told them that was not what they were supposed to do and re-explained I wanted it sewn from the inside so it wouldn't show and that it BETTER be ready by the next day. Someone else came in that spoke Spanish - and I told them to leave - not to use this place. I can only assume she worked there too, because she argued with the other women about what to do to fix the problem. Again, they told me to come back the next day and it would be ready. I returned, picked up my comforter minus the big ugly patch with a messy stitch line and basically threw $5.00 after telling them I would NEVER, EVER be back. read more
