I needed a pair of jean shorts shortened by adding a cuff and tucking in/hiding the original hem. She just folded the hem up exposing the original hem which was a thick blue Jean-type hem. I just had a horrible experience with AAA Alterations. I took a zip-up to have the pockets fixed, and the zipper went missing. I returned to get them to fix it, and the woman refused to help. They told me that it wasn't possible that they might have messed it up. It was the only place it went and had a zipper when I brought it in. I first visited this location on 1/10/2019 to get a dress altered that I purchased the weekend before for an event on 1/19/2019. The dress required alteration as it had a hole in the side of the dress when purchased and needed to be taken in. *for reference the dress purchased was a size 12 and I required it to be taken in to be a size 8. When I arrived at the counter and inquired about the dress, I was advised there may be a rush fee added to my costs of the tailoring because this location would be closed the week of the 14th. I tried on the dress and had it fitted to me and was told that because the dress had to be taken in so much, I would also require a new zipper. When I went back to the counter after changing out of the dress, I was advised that I would not be charged a rush fee as the location would stay open late on Saturday 1/12/2019 to accommodate my request. Please avoid this place at all costs. The work was done poorly. I went two days early to pick up my items for a wedding. I brought in 3 outfits totally nearly $1,000 in merchandise. Upon trying on the altered items in the shop, they fit worse than when I brought them in. I got 4 items done for $300. One dress had a large snag that was not there when I brought it in. All items were all brand new with tags when I brought them in. She denied making the snag and said she would fix it. The top part of a dress that she was supposed to take in to make it not fall off my shoulders was poorly executed and the material was bunched up in the wrong places. She claimed that she told me it would look like that. I stated that I wouldn't have gotten it altered there if that was the case. She said she would fix it. Lastly, she was supposed to replace a side zipper on a skirt. Upon trying on the skirt, the was bigger than when I brought it in due to how the zipper was sewed in. I showed her where and how the skirt is supposed to sit and she said she would fix it. Fast forward to today when I go to pick the items up and the snag in the dress isn't fixed, the skirt waist size isn't fixed, the bunched up part of the dress is looser now but it's lopsided and the top left is higher than the top right. The owner did not greet me at all. She just gave me the clothes and I asked if I could try them on there. She said yes. I tried on the items and was upset but knew at that point I just had to leave. I said thank you and left. She didn't even reply. The wedding is in a few days and now I need to rush to find someone else to fix these items and spend more money. If she wasn't going to fix the items the first time that there were issues, I wish she would have just said so. read more

Love this place! I've been coming here for a while. They have fixed dresses and especially pants for me. I was impressed when I received some jeans from overseas and the length was great but couldn't fit well over the hip area. They fixed them and this is very difficult to do without losing the shape of the jeans. The alterations go unnoticed, I have been wearing the same jeans for over a year and nothing has come undone. I had a brief conversation with her and she explained to me her struggles during the pandemic, not with having business (she has plenty) but with keeping workers to help with the alterations. Absolutely wonderful service. I have never used a tailor for anything before, but I purchased a dress for my wedding and it needed a lot of work. It was a silky flowy bohemian style dress that I bought online. I brought it in and showed her like 5 things that I wanted done, including taking the dress in like 2 whole sizes, shortening it, taking the plunging neckline in so it wasn't as revealing, and slimming up the poofy sleeves. She said no problem, told me it would be ready in a week and charged me $140. When I came in and tried the dress on again, it was a huge improvement and looked stunning. I received compliments on it from two different customers that were there when I came in. I asked if she could take it in a little more and asked her to take the poofy bohemian style sleeves and make them tighter AND add cuffs with gold buttons. She did NOT charge me anything for these additional alterations! She told me to come back in THREE days and it was done. The dress fit like a glove and the "from scratch" modifications she made for me were perfect. I sent my mother to her to have her dress (for my wedding) altered and she did a great job again. I will definitely come back for future alterations big and small now that I know how great they do, how kind and accommodating they are, and how affordable they are. read more

Not knowing anything about alterations spots I checked yelp, and read the reviews in the area, still not getting enough info I randomly selected AAA because I go by it often and knew where it was. As I enter I was greeted by a nice young lady that measured my hem length and took my order and told me when I could expect by pants to be done. Since I was not in a hurry I had to wait a week before they would be ready. Time passes, a week later I went to get my pants early in the morning, the same young lady told me they were working on them now and would I mind returning that afternoon and they would be ready. Since I'm now a resident Rock-er, I figured I needed to sample more local businesses to share a wealth of information with my fellow Rock neighbors (I'm also trying to get the nickname "The Rock" to stick, but people seem to be hung up on "Round Rock" formal.) I'm short. And not particularly fond of the petite section, plus a lot of places don't even have pants in short lengths. So I took three pairs of mine to AAA Alterations for a basic hem to experiment. Just so you have a gauge: my sewing skills are of the mending variety. I can sew a basic hem, replace a button, or patch up a stuffed animal, but I have no clue how to work a sewing machine. (I'd like to learn though, so if anyone can tell me a good place to take lessons I'd be mighty grateful.) Manuela, the seamstress, took my measurements lightning fast. I'm talking, it took me longer to put on each pair of pants than it did for her to measure me for them once I had them on! She'll ask if you want to wear them with flats or heels, and it really helps if you bring the pair of shoes you want to wear them with. Just picked up my pants today and I'm blown away. It was three simple hems, but Manuela made my pants look like I bought them that way! The detail is amazing, she got the thread colors exactly right, hemmed them like the original hems, and even the inside of the pants that is invisible to anyone but the wearer looks immaculate. No loose ends or anything! Very impressed. I have a couple coats and a dress that are too big for me; I'm going to take them to Manuela and see what she can do. I'll keep interested Yelpers updated! I first went to Tailor's Touch in RR and was told the work was too much and more expensive that my dress was worth! I had bought a beautiful Asian dress to wear for Chinese New Year. It fit everywhere but in the bust. I asked them if they could just lower the zipper and then take in the sides. Not only did they do a wonderful job their estimated was much less expensive than that other awful place.
