I don't even want to give them 1 star but, I had to choose at least one. I took two bridesmade dresses and my husbands pants in to AAA Alterations on Aug 28th, 2012. I put on both dresses, the lady pinned the dresses, and my husband did the same with his dress slacks. We have the ticket for the alterations which says exactly what to do with both dresses and to hem his pants with a cuff. It also says that I need the left over material from my dress which is for the stems of the bridemaids boquets. She said they would be done on 9/7/12 and will be $107.00. I left both dresses on my hangers , I had each dress in a garment bag, and tags still on the dresses. I paid $150 for one dress, $168 for the other dress, and my husband paid $50 for his dress slacks. I have the first wedding on 9/14/12 and the second wedding on 9/22/12 in WI. Sept. 7th, 2012 my Husband went to pick up the garments and the lady told him they were not ready yet. She told him we could not pick them up until 5:30, which it says on the receipt. That was our mistake for not looking at the time. So he came 20 miles home and went back at 5:30pm just like she told him to do. He got there at 5:30 and she said they are still not dont, but they were on the way. He waited there for 45 minutes which was now 6:15, which she also told him they close at 6pm. At 6:15 another lady delivered the clothes, but his pants were missing. They searched and searched for the pants and tried to give him someone elses clothes, which were not even the same color pants that he dropped off. They finally found his pants laying in a pile of clothes on the floor and they were never touched. She tried to tell him they were hemmed. Well they were still too long, they had the chalk lines where they were suppose to hem them, and they weren't cuffed. She said to leave them there and they will have them done by 11am. Not to mention she gave him only one garment bag and hanger back and gave me extra material from someone elses dress. It was not even the same color as my dress. She took $7 off because his pants were not ready. He also had to leave because he had our 11 month old with him who was being fussy and hungry. I was still working since I work until 7pm. I called the lady immediately and told her I needed my material, garment bag, and hanger back when we pick up his pants in the morning. She yelled at me and said she gave me the material and talked extremely rude to me as if I just ruined her clothes. Once he got home I tried on my dresses. UGH!!! One dress fit just right, but the other dress is a mess. First of all this dress was too big on me when I dropped it off and now it is too tight and I haven't gained an ounce. It's a sweetheart top, which they weren't doing anything to, but one side is now about 3-4 inches higher than the other side. They weren't touching the top. They were only taking in the sides. They also made an extra seam down the side. I asked where my material was and they now said they didn't take anything off. . . even though they first gave me someone else's material so that they could pretend they didn't forget to give it to me. My bridesmaid dress is RUINED! now I have to some how get a new bridemade dress ordered within a week and pay another $168 for a new dress. I called the lady on Saturday, Sept 8th to let her know all the things wrong with my dress. She screamed at me and hung up on me 3 times. She told me that they are not liable for it. How can you not be liable for it when you pinned the dress and sewed it? YOU messed up. She NEVER ONCE said sorry. instead she continued to scream at me, hung up on me 3 times, and she said they were late because the machine broke. I asked how they expect to run a business with talking to people this way. Couldn't you give a courtesy call to let me know you needed more time? Instead I think she hurried and did my dress at the last minute and messed it up. I called her back and requested the manager or owner and she said they will be on vacation for a week. I let her know I will be there at 1:15 on my lunch break to get my money back, my garment bag, my hanger, my extra material, and my husbands pants. I also let her know that I will put on the dress so she can see the awful job that she did. She said "whatever" and hung up again. I called back to let her know that I am contacting the better business burreau and every single news station in Austin to make sure she does not get any more business. She said "you do whatever you want I don't care" and hung up. I also contact the police to find out what I need to do in case she tried to keep his pants. They told me to record her with my cell phone, which I did when I went in to her store. Well, of course the lady left before I got there and made another employee handle my concerns. She told the lady I would be coming in and told her to give me $25 back but nothing else. Still never said sorry and I don't have bridesmaid dress. DON'T GO HERE!!! read more

I came here to get my prom dress fixed... I needed it to be hemmed and the straps to be shorter. I also added tulle to the front to be more modest and it was only $99!! GREAT PRICING. They said to come back on a Monday (3 weeks after I placed it in) at 5pm and when I arrived they were still working on it so they told me to come back in 2 hours. When I came back (they stayed late to accommodate me) it fit perfectly and they really ensure that everything is perfect!! Although, I was a bit frustrated because they had a long time to do my dress but with the great price I really didn't mind! read more

I have NEVER been more disgusted in my life! The treatment and issues we have experienced with this establishment are deplorable and would never recommend anyone to go there. My mother went to AAA Alterations to have an expensive bridesmaid dress to be hemmed for me. We went to several other places for quotes and they were all less expensive, but we went with AAA because we thought their services would be more professional. When she went to pick up the dress, she noticed that there were some problems with the work they had done. She asked the attendant Manu to look at dress with her to see what needed to be fixed. Manu cursed at her under her breath and in front of other customers. She then said "Just by looking at you, I should have known better than to have accepted your dress, I know you people don't want to pay money." Really?! When someone does shoddy work, the least they can do is acknowledge there is a problem, take a look at it with you and see what they can do to fix it... NOT make a racist slur against you and degrade you in front of others. The only good thing that came out of this situation is that the other prospective customers who overheard Manu cursing under her breath decided to take there business elsewhere. DO NOT go to AAA Alterations! I hope that this reference wakes them up and helps them realize that they should treat everyone and especially their customers with respect no matter what their ethnicity is. read more

I b5rought in 2 new suites that needed alteration on a Friday the job was done by Monday and the prices were reasonable. They did skip on removing the new tags from my jacket sleeve like I asked them too, but I will let that slide. Anyway I missed the funeral but that was entirely my own fault for getting the time wrong. read more

This place was the absolute worst. I didn't even do business with them because their assistant or secretary was horrible. She quoted me a price without the seamstress even looking at my dress. After that, she even said I should probably go somewhere else because it would probably be cheaper. No customer service at all. I will NEVER be going back to that place again. I have never thought of this place as being one of the top notch alteration shops in town. My wife and I were present one day when another customer was trying to get work done for some wedding clothes. The customer left for a minute and I overheard the counter attendant talking with the owner who was instructed to not give the angry customer her phone number so that they could dispute the charges and the work. Just today, my wife and I went into the shop to get her coat. We took it in a week ago on Saturday for a small hole in one of the seams to be fixed. We were told to return today and when we did, we were asked to wait. They had not even done the work during the time frame allotted. They were actually going to do the work while we waited say that there was an emergency and that is why it wasn't finished. (I think it is just laziness on her part). My wife told the owner that she should have had the work finished and that we didn't want to wait while they did it in front of us. The owner woman got irate and refused to even do the work during a rather ugly verbal argument with my wife. Long story short, I would not recommend this place to have your dogs sweater fixed! I will never go back to this place and I hope they go out of business for having really bad customer service as well as shoddy work. read more

She and the seamstress went above and beyond to accommodate a most difficult request, here it goes: Besides totally fulfilling this difficult request, it was done way before the deadline and immaculately. I asked AAA if they could duplicate a very fancy robe with multiple designs, pleats and dimensions - that I had custom tailored in East Africa. Not only did the seamstress accurately cut, sew and duplicate the robe, it is greater!!! It fit better, no loose threads, the stitching consistent, etc. The quality and integrity of the work is Exceptional and the Customer Service was Royal. To add to this, the cost out-of-the-door was so reasonable I couldn't refuse the offer. They fulfilled every aspect of a complete and proficient service. I will return to them for all of my clothing needs and request them to duplicate other complex clothing articles - they are more than capable. Paid $150 for alterations on prom dress last year only to discover it was dragging the floor at least 3 inches minutes before her date arrives. Took dress back the next week to show them pictures and where I had to pin up the last minute. Was told I had to speak with the manager that had just had surgery. When I was finally able to talk with the manager, was told there was nothing they could do and she should have tried it on before the day of prom. read more

A bit mixed feelings, they did jeans for me that needed new zippers and although I did especially requested a particular kind of zipper and wanted to pay extra if need be the lady said, all their material is good quality and of that kind. The jeans now have some cheap zippers. One jeans is already difficult to zip close and stay closed. $30.00 for two jeans zipper. read more

I've had hems sewed up on my trousers at this tailor shop for way over ten years. I recently had eight pairs hemmed up. Out of the eight pairs, Three trouser cuffs came undone with less than Three months wear. I brought them back and the lady told me she would have to charge ($15.00 a pair) for re-hemming. I told her that I still had trousers with cuffs intact that were done Ten years ago by the previous owner and never had this problem. I left in a huff telling her they're not the only tailor shop in Round Rock anymore! read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced! The lady is rude as heck. I waited I know about 15 minutes without even being acknowledge. There was a man behind the counter. I don't know if he worked there or not, but he wasn't helping anyone and did not ask if we needed any help. She was helping a customer, but didn't say a word to us when we walked in. When she did say something, it was like "do you need something?" I asked her about a certain tuxedo and she was like "we don't carry anything like that" and turned and walked away and I walked out. read more

I am appalled at the service or should I say lack of, that I just received from AAA Alterations. I went with my daughter to pick up her prom dress that was being shortened and hemmed. After putting the dress on I could see that there was a problem immediately. Both of her feet were visible as the lining was 4 inches shorter than the outer layer of the dress. I asked the lady about it and she told me that the dress was "designed" that way. She told me if I could prove that the dress was not that way originally she would pay us for the dress. I called the store that we purchased it from and had the manager get on the phone with her and explain to her that the dress was not made that way. The employee then became belligerent and completely unprofessional. I tried to explain to her that is was her job as the service provider to assist us with making the situation better. She would not stop yelling. I asked for the extra material that she cut off, and she claimed to not having it as well as the dress bag that the dress came in. Needless to say, we left AAA without paying and with the dress that we don't know what to do with at this point. I would never recommend this place for any type of alterations. read more
