I cannot say enough wonderful things about Audio Video Workshop and the incredible work Scott and…read moreRita did for us! My brother recently found some of my parents' old 8mm films tucked away in the attic, and we had no idea what condition they would be in or whether we would even be able to see them again. These films are incredibly meaningful to our family, so trusting them to someone was a very big deal. From the moment I met Scott and Rita, we knew our memories were in good hands. They were both incredibly professional, knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. They took the time to explain everything, were completely transparent about the process, and treated these old family films with the care and respect they deserved. And the finished product was AMAZING! Seeing my parents and our family brought back to life on film was truly priceless. It was like being given a little piece of our family history back, and we will treasure these memories for years to come. Scott and Rita went above and beyond, and we are so grateful for the beautiful job they did. If you have old films, videos, photographs, or other family memories that you've been meaning to preserve, I would wholeheartedly recommend Audio Video Workshop in Redwood City. You can trust them with something that is truly irreplaceable. Thank you, Scott and Rita, for helping us preserve such precious memories of my parents and our family.

The customer service here is abysmal. I called this place 4 times in the afternoon (well after…read moreopening hours) to inquire about film processing because their website is unclear on their services. No one picked up every time, they even just sent me straight to voicemail. I end up just driving over to find the place is not busy at the slightest. They just ignore calls. I decided to make the drive out here and just talk to them in person. I've never met someone more dismissive in my life. The owner cuts off everyone who speaks to him. Right in front of me there was a sweet old woman who noticed there was a cash discount that was posted on the well after she handed over her film, she kindly asked to pay in cash for the discount and the owner told her "Nah I already typed in your order I'm not changing it." Shoo's her away after that exchange, and then says goodbye calling her by her first name. Which tells me this is a regular customer that he treats like trash. I'm next, I pull out my super 8 film and before I can even ask a question he says "nah we don't do those you have to go somewhere else" Which is fine. Not everyone processes super 8 (even though the website says they do,) which is an old medium. But the delivery and customer service were horrible. Someone should have answered the phone in the first place so I wouldn't be here "bothering" this guy on his very busy day of sitting around doing nothing. Also, This guys website shouldn't be coded/designed like a 6th grader did it, so that way the information can be clear and easy to read. Their website explicitly says "We transfer 8mm and 16mm film" which makes me believe this owner is just lazy and chooses not to work. It's sad really, the film medium is a dying industry and there are very few people who can be there to revive this medium and unfortunately this one in the Bay Area can choose to help this art form, but instead they choose to be a lazy business owner who has disdain for people who want to support his dying business. I've received better customer service from fast food chains than this place. If/when his business fails it's not because of a lack of customers or demand of services. But at the fault of a pathetic and bitter business owner who does not deserve it. To everyone reading I recommend looking for mail in film transfer. They are much more accommodating than this pathetic place.

Then I had an idea: with the help of AI, I could have it translated and finally read my grandfather's work. This is where eRecordsUSA came in. They took on this project despite its many challenges and scanned the book with excellent quality. Now, I can preserve and share this treasure with the rest of my family. Our family is incredibly thankful for all the hard work eRecordsUSA put into this project. I couldn't be happier with the final result.

I have a precious hardbound book that my mother made for me with our family history documented in…read moreit. I had been looking for someone who could digitize it. Because of the irreplaceable nature of the book, it was critical that I could trust the service to handle my book with care, both in the shipping to and from and the digitizing process. I found eRecordsUSA through a ChatGPT search. They had outstanding reviews on all fronts. They lived up to those reviews. The inquiry process was easy, clear, quick and responsive through their online contact process, and I did have one call with a representative. Their pricing was fair. The digitizing process of my book, which was several hundred pages, was very quick, being done the same week in which they received it. Turnaround shipping was also quick and reliable, just as promised. And the book came back in pristine condition. Communication was excellent throughout. When they quoted me a price, had to estimate the number of pages because the pages are not numbered. Turns out that there were more than double my estimate. However, eRecordsUSA honored the quoted price. Integrity.... So, I highly recommend eRecordsUSA if you are in the market for digitizing services. They fully met and in some ways exceeded my high expectations.

I have been wanting to check this place out for years because I have a large project I need for my…read morebusiness but with the mixed reviews I decided to try a small project first to test the waters. Unfortunately the customer service was not great. I felt like a huge inconvenience and received zero direction or suggestions for the small piece I brought in and the stitching ended up being put in a not ideal place which I would have loved someone to walk through with me for better placement. I asked about my larger project and also received less than zero help with that and felt like I was so annoying for even asking about it. I'm sad because it's a small town shop -potentially family owned but the vibe was really really off and just not friendly. I will not be going back for my large order and will have to find another option. Not sure what's going on in this place but I hope they read the reviews and understand that people want a good experience with staff and that we want to have fun and get more help when doing personal projects. There's also a LOT of small businesses in town who could actually use a service like this but may not go due to the lack of customer service and reviews - so I do hope they can turn things around in the future.
