    Root beer seltzer
    Erin H.

I always enjoy coming to the Tribesman for it's warm and cozy vibes. I am not personally a beer drinker but their homemade hard seltzer is delicious. I recently stopped in and tried the root beer seltzer which was so good. I can't wait to come back for more. Service is always friendly and happy to give their recommendations. Select weekends they host various local food trucks since they do not serve food. They also have live music, trivia, board games, and other types of events throughout the year. In the summertime they have an outdoor seating area behind the back parking lot. Parking can be challenging on a busy night but they also share a lot on the left side of the brewery. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Cool brewery. Service was good. Plenty of inside seating with a cool vibe. Nice pic nic style area out back. All of the beers that we tried in our flight were great. We had the Brewers Choice flight, our friends had the Summer Selection. Welcome to the Hive was amazing. I wanted to bring home a 4 pack, but they didn't have any available. Ugh! The only bad thing is, we couldn't bring the flights to the outside table seating or order them outside. Not a large parking lot at all, you have to park next store and walk over.

The owners were childhood friends both Hungarians. The brewery is earmarked as a Hungarian/American Brewery but after tasting their beers, I could not tell you why. The Seven Tribesmen (Eurasian Huns) merged and created what eventually became HUNgary. It was a beautiful warm sunny day in late October and I took Oatie to be groomed. The grooming place is virtually adjacent to the Seven Tribesmen Brewery, well done my friend. Well, while Oatie was getting groomed (not something he likes) I thought I'd have a few beers and watch some football. They have a flat screen TV. You can ask to try some samples of the 12 beers they offer for free or buy a 4 beer flight for $13. After 4 sample runs I decided on the REKA, an India Pale Lager, ABV 5.5, Tall glass $7.85, Short glass $5 and if you care for a four pack $13. It is not the cheapest beer you can buy but I enjoyed the taste. It is brewed from Bew Zealand Wai-iti-hops and has notes of peaches and ripe apricots and a hint of lemon. The Seven Tribesmen has outside Beer Garden type seating with heaters in the Fall. Inside they have a livingroom style seating and arrangement, a bar area, and an adjacent area to the bar of tables and chairs with a flat screen TV. I got a very comfortable relaxed feeling visiting. See my photos below.

Great brewery spot! The interior of this brewery is very sophisticated and aesthetically pleasing. Attended a trivia night here and had a blast. I like that you can bring your own food. The back outdoor seating was spacious. The parking was a little tight and the second lot is a little scary to walk to at night as it is near a busy road. The beer itself was tasty. Was able to sample a few flavors out before placing my order. Didn't know that the beers in higher content were served in much smaller cups. Wish that was mentioned prior to me ordering my drink. I would have grabbed something else had I known. The toasted beer was fantastic. I only had a sample, but I'll be ordering that next time I come. Overall the place is great and the staff is friendly. Can't wait to return back!

For starters, the parking lot is tiny as in itsybitsy tiny so get here early. As a brewery, the beer selection is great but with dumb NJ laws, not much food action HOWEVER, drop in at Pete's Meats, grab some chicken & ribs and get it to go and find one of the many outdoor tables and chow down with a beer or cider...or be cozy indoors. If you're super relaxed or utterly lazy, there is an outdoor bar just for you. BTW, Staff is super cool and totally chill.

Very clean, hipster vibe "bar". I liked that they offer hard seltzer and "fizz" slushees. Parking lot is very small and inside is definitely cozy and very warm when the place gets filled. BYO food, staff is nice and willing to give you samples before you commit to a beverage!

A quaint local brewery located in Wayne. Parking is very tight but available on site. The interior is a very cozy and homey feel with tables and couches. There is no food menu but you can bring in outside food. Service was helpful and efficient.

I've driven passed this place so many times and had no idea what it was but loved color paint of the building. Turns out it's a brewery. They didn't offer any tours or anything like that, probably because of covid. They have an indoor and outdoor area for you to try their beers. The indoor area isn't that big, but the outdoor area was. I think you have to call to reserve a section. They also provide menus for local food delivery services in case your hungry. I tried the 2 lagers from the menu and they were both very good. Everybody that I was with seemed to enjoy their beer as well. I hung out in the outdoor area. Music was playing softly in the background and a couple people let me pet their dogs so it was a good time.

Brought my wife here since she wanted to go to a new brewery for Valentines Day... appears to be the new weekly trend. Food: coming into the place you can tell they were already invested in their beers. For a local brewery that opened less than a year ago, it's impressive how many they have on tap. As seen in the last picture, she chose a blonde ale (Morning Star), sour (Hudson Hurdle), New England IPA (Horizon), and stout (All MASHed Up). She also got the Rhineland Kölsch, but she honestly could not pick her favorite. Service: our servers were both fantastic and professional. Knowledgeable about the beers and friendly, definitely run a good business. Aesthetic: biggest takeaway I think is that this is the most interesting and beautiful brewery I have been do. Ergonomic enough for small social activity, yet absolutely stunning and allows for their own personality to shine. I look forward to bringing people back here.

We stopped by today on our way home after a hike and loved everything about Seven Tribesman! We tried the blonde and the NEIPA and loved both equally -- they have growlers and crowlers too, so we were able to take some home with us. We were pretty hungry after the hike, so we also appreciated that we could order food straight to the brewery. The staff was really attentive, and one of the owners/brewers checked in a few times to see how we liked everything and share some of the story behind the brewery. Good health and safety measures in place, and it's cool that you can either order from the booth or straight from the QR code at your table. I hope the patio can stay permanently, but the inside also looked amazing!

Been here multiple times and it continues to please. Seven Tribesman is located in an old Victorian home that is spacious, very comfortable and nicely laid out. Clean crisp venue enhances the experience. Servers alway on point and knowledgeable of the product. After multiple visits I've noticed how accommodating the staff tends to be. About a dozen choice beers with an occasional change on the list. The brew is still developing, would like to see another Stout added to the list. Great place, worth a visit.

[Blowing on my nails.] The menu is a mix of American comfort food and gastropub classics, but with flair, and has a bit of everything to satisfy different palates. Our eyes were probably bigger than our stomachs as we ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 cocktails, and it was an enormous amount of food. The portions are definitely what you'd call hearty, and everything was very tasty. Thursdays are all day happy hour so we picked the fried calamari appetizer at the HH price (still a full and generous plate and didn't seem like a downsized version) which were tender and well-battered, as well as the hot honey wings which were meaty and substantial. The short rib parpadelle with housemade pasta and a perfectly medium-rare, well seasoned hanger steak with truffle fries completed our satisfying and belly-stuffing meal. The cocktails are serious as well - the presence of a drink with egg white is my personal litmus test for a bar that knows what it's doing, so the Thyme to Bloom special had my name on it. I'm salivating just looking at photos of dishes I didn't order, and am already plotting my return!

The night started with a tasting of their super clean and smooth white rum followed by a smokey , more full bodied dark rum. Next we had a choice of a couple different liquors where I went with a "Suisse le bleu" absinthe drink. Made half and half with seltzer and a dab of ice, the liquor miraculously turned light blue. Strong smell of licorice off the top but the taste was surprisingly light and subtle for being 140 proof (less after being mixed obviously). The ladies had a coffee liquor which was the white rum mixed with soaked in Brazilian coffee beans. The entire time conversations were flowing between Brant(master distiller), Jim (NJ homebrew club advisor and drink architect), Doug (NJ homebrew flu. President and Brant's right hand man) and our group. Next we went on the distillery tour where Brant gave us his background and a bit of history. You can tell right off the bat that his passion comes from the heart and everything done at the distillery was carefully thought out from start to finish. After the tour, we were treated to more drinks and even a rum strawberry Gelato dessert... "hard ice". All I can say is wow! So tasty and just the right amount of kick. They need to put stuff on shelves in supermarkets! Also had one of their mojitos.... Very yummy. The crew then started talking about the different stuff they have distilled or architectured, which included peepski (melted peep for sugar base) and hot chocolate sex (rum, frap, Bosco, mead and hot peppers). Jim was nice enough to bring out his personal bottle of the hot chocolate sex which we got to try... Definitely interesting! They also brought out some local nj hot sauce to try with the chips. All in all a fantastic night!

We did a quick search, saw Jersey Spirits Distilling and decided to give it a try. I would have never known it existed since it's tucked in the back of an industrial complex. From the outside, it looks small, but it's pretty spacious inside. When we were seated, our server gave us a brief history of the distillery. I love that it's family-owned and all of the ingredients are locally sourced from NJ. There are so many different cocktail options, and some of them were so creative in their presentation. Since I was having a difficult time deciding, I went with the Espresso Martini flight. It came with a Traditional, Pistachio, and Jelly Ring martini. I also ordered a cookie butter martini. My favorite was definitely the creamy pistachio martini. I am so happy to have discovered Jersey Spirits Distilling and can't wait to visit again soon!
