Don't waste your time or $$... First of all, the bread basket was so gross... still wondering where in the world they get their bread in NYC... it was worse than supermarket bread! It came with a homemade ricotta dip and tomato jam, which was not good at all... thankfully, we decided to order apps first. Nice quiet happy hour in LB! I believe it was from 5-7 Wed-Friday. They don't have happy hour menus and I did have to ask them about it. But I enjoyed both of my drinks and the quiet ambiance on a Friday night. I did not enjoy the flies as pictured on my straw but I suppose that comes with optional outdoor seating territory. Also, various small plates are discounted for happy hour. I got the burrata salad, and truffle fries which came with vodka dipping sauce. I've been trying to get to this place for months. I've read all the tremendous reviews and I will tell you (in fact I'm actually telling you now) this place is well worth the visit and I will absolutely be back. Owner and staff are especially pleasant and accommodating. If it means anything, we made our first visit on Valentines Day when many restaurant fall below expectations. There was a special pre-fixe menu with a large selection of items (NO up charges). Appetizer, main course, cocktail of your choice and dessert: $60. If you saw the menu choices you would agree that was a great deal. If, by chance, you didn't love something on the special menu you were free to order from the regular menu. I will have to get back here a number of times to try all the items that looked so good. I ordered the special pork chop which was breaded, layered with Mozzarella and mushrooms and served in a really delicious sauce. My wife ordered the skirt steak from the special menu and it was a winner as well. Shrimp cocktails and baked clam appetizers were a tremendous start to a really great meal. We had a couple of appetizers, pretzel bites (sauce was GREAT) and fried calamari. Main corses I had penne alla vodka with grilled chicken, it was very good with generous portions too. Food here is amazing and service is great! I love that it's family style because my friends and I tend to share our meals anyway. We got the calamari, baked clams, burrata, chicken francese, penne alla vodka, and cannoli dip. Everything was delicious, but I was surprised with the dessert because I didn't think I would like the cannoli dip as much as I did. They have a DJ some nights, including the night we were there so it gets a bit loud, keep that in mind. The food was delicious, ESPECIALLY the lobster roll. I was psych to go here due to the reviews. I started with a Caesar salad which was so big I split it with two other people. I ordered rigatoni with meat sauce. It was very good. I ordered the half size and it was still too big to finished that night. For dessert I ordered cannoli filling and chips. It was very good. The servers were very friendly. Watch out for Friday nights. If you are going for a night where you can chat with the people at your table it's tough with a dj playing disco. I saw a post that Wednesday is $15.00 any pasta. We tried it and it was delicious. The waitress, Amanda, was attentive and courteous. The pasta was Al dente and served fast and hot. Went with friends for dinner prior to the holiday kickoff and I was disappointed. Our server was lovely she took our order but the kitchen seemed to overlook our order so we were all comped a free alcoholic beverage. The place is far too noisy and having a conversation was almost impossible. We went to Seven for Brunch today and it was fabulous. The decor/atmosphere is peaceful and inviting. Not overly loud, perfect for conversations. The Bloody Mary's had just the right amount of spice and did not taste like they were premade . The menu is eclectic and delicious, something for everyone's taste. I had Crab toast with a poached egg. Delicious. My friends had the French toast and truffle toast. They raved about their breakfast. We followed up with cappuccino, also delicious. The menu online offered family style which is why we chose it but the menu was different once we got there. Moving on... Really loved the decor here - trendy beachy vibe. Friendly hostess. We got sat right away. Waited a while for server to come over. It seemed they were understaffed - the experience would have be totally different if we had a server who actually had time to serve us. All of our cocktails tasted like there wasn't any alcohol in it.. App portions were not consistent as we ordered two of a few things. Menu descriptions didn't match what came out. Food was good though, honestly no complaints on the food flavors just the menu descriptions didn't match. We are very easy going so this could have easily went a different way if we weren't. Weren't offered dessert / coffee had to go out of our way to ask. Suggestion to owner: hire another server - you need it. Hire someone to train the steps of service. Such a beautiful restaurant would be a shame to see it go down because of this. Gave it 4 stars bc I don't believe ruining a restaurant's reputation by a low rating is fair. Also to the lady who thought it would be an acceptable time to give a FOOT MASSAGE with no shoes on in the middle of a restaurant... please save that for your house. Disgusting. Sat at bar and ordered food with a friend. The bartender Rob M was professional and attentive. We had the meatballs, shrimp parm and pork chop marsala. All three dishes had generous portions and were cooked to perfection. The standout dish of this trio was certainly the pork chop. Pounded paper thin with a perfect Marsala. The short rib gnocchi was extremely short on meat. Just bits & pieces. The sauce was bitter & tasted burned. The S'mores dessert was a bar of Hershey chocolate over some graham crackers @ topped with marshmallow fluff. Too much chocolate! The bread pudding was very dry and too Crist.
