Excellent food, service and ambience. Had the seared tuna and crab cake with aperol spritz and paper plane. Everything was delicious.

The management here has become absolutely intolerable. I have never seen a restaurant go down SO FAST AND SO MISERABLY!! Used to frequent every weekend and I will never step foot in this establishment ever again. Do not waste your money on their microscopic menu and give even a penny of your money to this absolute horrid bar. Horribly disappointed that the only waterfront bar in the entire town of long BEACH is this wretched. DISGUSTING! read more

Walked into the restaurant 7/12 @11:27am we wanted a seat the host with blonde hair said they opened at 11:30... there were already ppl sitting. We get to the table I sit down to pull the chair out and the place looks like it's never been swept. I get it it's a beach town but the least they can do is sweep here. Not trying to be rude or spicy, I am genuinely concerned how the kitchen looks. So we order two mimosas and what doesn't surprise me is one of the glasses come with lipstick stains from who ever used it before. I shouldn't have been surprised the lobby looked like a waiting room of EBT recipients. I mean kids running, ppl blasting their phones on speaker.. I now understand why ppl prefer the Hamptons over this. I might mail them a broom myself I'm so concerned. read more

Ok so we did a getaway to this hotel and had dinner and drinks at the restaurant. Here's my review. Drinks oK, don't get an old fashioned. Food... Ok so the crab cake app, don't get it! And the kimchi Bonita wings... uhhhh don't get it... and the mushroom pizza... uhhh don't get it. The 10 ounce burger is small but mighty. They have no other cheese but American though... yikes!! Anyway... the ambiance is pretty 80s, but they try. Come in with your shorts or sneakers no dress code. Which is a good and bad thing... anyway if you can find somewhere release to eat, EAT THERE!! read more

The Quick: Great happy hour specials, out of this world view of the water at sunset, and gorgeous lounge... What else could a girl want? Yes the staff is confused and not very efficient, that's obvious to anyone. But this venue is a hidden gem. Take a date to impress, you won't regret it! read more

This review is for L'Onda Lounge located inside of the Allegria Hotel, right on the Boardwalk. The hubby and I stopped in for a few drinks yesterday afternoon to celebrate his birthday. We went for a walk up the boardwalk and decided to double back and end our walk at the Allegria where we could cool off before heading home. Well the best laid plans were halted by the fact that it was only marginally cooler inside - on a hot but not blisteringly so day - than it was outside. Every once in awhile when someone opened a door we felt a bit of a breeze but for the most part the air conditioning was working overtime to just hold on. We ordered two smokey blood orange margaritas and watched the bartender circle around the entire circular bar as she reached for each of the ingredients in this tasty concoction. She didn't have enough to fill two glasses so we watched her just pack more ice in so they looked full. There was a half of a lime in mine as well so it didn't leave a hell of a lot of room for the drink. At $14 each this was a bit annoying. But we were celebrating so we had two more. For the second round we ordered one at a time and watched her do the same full circle two more times. I had expected this place to be top notch and was a bit disappointed at several things that I saw. The service Team was visibly uncomfortable in the less than cool room. For the two of us having cocktails it was manageable but barely and the service Team was slow to bus the tables around us - maybe because they were so hot. While the bathrooms look like they were gorgeous when the hotel just opened up, only a year later the floor to ceiling door of the stall I happened upon has expanded to a point where it is hard to move and is scratching the floor. The toilet paper holder has broken off the wall and the floor stand replacement that they have put in (without removing the remainder of the wall fixture that still remains) is not heavy enough to use without knocking the stand over when pulling the paper. Two out of three light bulbs in my stall were out. While I found the sink/ communal trough impressive with long tubes that drop water down from the ceiling - two out of four of the faucets were broken off. All of these issues added up to a je ne sais quoi - Meh, I've experienced better feeling. A shame. The drink was delicious. The rest - not so much. Oh - and the thing that just drove me crazy!!! I understand that you need to be a guest to use WIFI in a hotel, but why do they have to block my 3G and EDGE signal? My phone wouldn't work anywhere in or around the hotel. How was I supposed to check in to Yelp!? read more

This review is just for the nightlife. Looking for a total clusterfuck of people from all walks of life mimicking an upscale Manhattan lounge, then check out L'Onda Lounge. This the perfect area to if you are 50+ with some cash and you are looking to pick up some PYTs. Or maybe if you are in your a dame in your 20s you can get yourself a sugar daddy. Everyone else will find it amazing for people watching. The place gets real loud and it's pretty expensive but there is nothing like it in Long Beach so sometimes you just gotta do it. read more

L'Onda Lounge is Allegria's hotel lounge and bar. Its an attractive bar, situated with a prime view of Long Beach's boardwalk and beach. The decor is very contemporary, but elegant, with its subtle tones. On a hot day, we sat down at the lounge for a quick drink to cool us down. We ordered an iced tea, a Allegria Sunset cocktail (made with strawberry liquor and sparkling wine), and a turkey BLT wrap. We intentionally opted for straightforward drinks/dish to keep it simple, and ensure that there would be little problems. However, before you know it, our waitress returns to tell us that they are out of the strawberry liquor and can't make the cocktail. Given their limited drink menu, and the fact that it was Friday early afternoon (it was still pretty empty at this lounge), this was quite the surprise, and only suggested that their bar operations was a bit ill-managed. We overlooked this, however, and began browsing the drink menu for a different option. We noticed a liquor that we weren't familiar with that was present in the ginger cocktail (with sparkling wine and this unknown liquor), and proceeded to ask the waitress. She just looked us and told us that she didn't know -- we then asked her about another drink, and she responded the same. I would think that a well-trained bar waitress would know the contents of a very short menu, or at least think to find out and clarify for us. As a result, we opted for a glass of water instead. Quite disappointing. The iced tea was fine -- nothing extraordinary, maybe a little watery, but fairly standard. The turkey BLT wrap, however, was another mess. The flour wrap was cold and dry, and together with the mound of bland turkey cold-cut, tasted like nothing. At least the Terra Vegetable Chips that they included as a side hadn't turned stale yet. Needless to say, the only impressive part of our experience here was the view. It helped that it was an especially gorgeous day. read more

Loved this experience at L'onda lounge today. Hung out here because we were staying at the Allegria hotel. Our bartender OMAR is awesome and is the reason for the 5 star instead of 4 star review! We had wine,pizza with pesto and tomato, and chicken wings with celery and apple slices. The pizza though flavorful and thin crust was a little doughy. The wins were yummy well flavored hot wings. Omar also topped off the service with a complimentary dessert for the birthday girl :-)---toasted brownie with ice-cream and Creme fraiche. read more

Not even the so-so food can be a savior to L'Onda's terrible, outwardly impolite and inconsistent service. Bartenders here are downright nasty, and they spoil the calming effect of Long Beach's beautiful ocean vista in one fell swoop. After sitting down, one Hispanic/Latino looking bartender, perhaps suspecting me to be underage, began his curt introduction like so: "So you know you need to start a tab, right?" before stomping off. His tone was so condescending that others nearby were visibly taken aback and shook their head. After plunking down my drink and food (he forgot the fries, which came a full 20 minutes later) down in front of me, I waited, as a test, over the course of a half hour, and he never returned. Not to check on food, not to refresh drink or to offer anything else. As-toun-ding! As if that weren't enough, after another bartender came to my rescue and I paid, as I walked out, said bartender also cut his eye at me as I walked away from the bar. Perhaps he'd overheard me saying that I won't leave a tip. Will never return after that unpleasant encounter. Should anyone holding the reins on Allegria wonder where their clientele has gone, they will find evidence here. read more

I really wanted to like L'Onda, but when a medium hamburger comes out dry n almost burnt on the outside and good French Fries ruined with an over abundance of salt...n octopus dry....It is hard to like. Why can't Restaurants by the water strive to be better? Waitresses were very nice n helpful though. read more

We have been to the L'Onda Lounge many times and it has always been great. Tonight we had the pleasure of having Ashley as our waitress. She was welcoming as she introduced herself, she took our drink orders right away and served them immediately. Our food came out fresh, hot and timely. She constantly asked if we needed anything always with a smile and was just a pleasure. Such a nice and relaxing evening! read more

I've been to the lounge and restaurant many times over the years, and the service has always been questionable. In the past, the seemed short staffed, but still trying to do their best. Today, however, was a different story. Walked up to the restaurant and stood there for a while. I'm eventually told that the restaurant doesn't open until 6:30 (which seems odd for a Sunday evening in August) so we wandered over to the lounge for a light dinner. The hostess in the lounge was incredibly rude. She wouldn't acknowledge my family until I asked her for menus. She told me to wait. Never returned. I then asked another waitress and she too walked away. In the end, someone walked over, never said hello, and just dropped some menus on our table. No thanks. We packed up and left. Staff seemed a little rough around the edges and trashy. We tried to support this local business over the past few years, but this was the last straw. read more
