While visiting during a pandemic and having a little one with us, they were relatively accommodating. I wish we could have enjoyed the indoor facility more, but for obvious reasons, we chose to use their outdoor tent. Only one drawback, and it not their fault either, the tent can only support 3 groups at a time. BUT... again, we chose the tent because we have a little one with us. Had we not had a baby with us, we'd have enjoyed the very spacious facility. I can only comment on the two beers I had. The 2 Cloud NEIPA, and the LaGrand Chocolate BBA Imperial Milk Stout. Both were great, but I'm going to be biased with the stout, it was phenomenal. I love my brews dark, rich and high octane. I'm sticking with the 5 stars besides the fact they only have limited amount of outdoor space (sorry, forgot to mention two or three solo spots to enjoy outdoors near barrels), because not everyone visiting has an 8-month old. The facility is very spacious and accommodating for everyone else! When the pandemic is over, this will definitely be a spot we'll return to. read more

The beer choices were excellent and with several TVs and yummy guacamole and chips from El Tito's available onsite, it turned out to be a perfect venue for watching Sunday football on a miserable rainy weather day!! Been here 3x and great to have a local place in Oakton to hang out. Very airy space with lots of TVs. Tried 4 beers and all were fantastic. They have a small food place (inside the location, but different establishment). Food was average pub food. Hence the 4 star vs 5 star rating. Come for the beer, but expect just ok food. read more

I love that this brewery is so close to me! What makes it even better is that I thoroughly enjoyed all the beers I tried. They have a bunch of cool beers on tap right now including a New England style IPA brewed with Strawberries and Lactose. Super delicious! I'm taking away one star because I think their chip system is kind of confusing but everything (especially the fact that i can order El Tio right from the brewery and have it brought to me is A+++++++ in my book!). Stopped in here for a Yelp event and had a good time. I love visiting brewery's and hope that I can fill one or two of my growlers with a tasty brew. I had a few tastings and found one that I liked enough to fill a growler with. I had the Dry Hopped Kolsh and Remington's Run. I decided to fill with the Kolsh. I'm a lager drinker and am not a fan of IPA's and the Kolsh was right up my ally. My girlfriend tried the Nothing is Real and she liked it but wow! What a kick. At 10.1% ABV, it was too much for me but she liked it. She said it was smoothe. I did taste their ribbon winning beer Sweet Scoville Sting but it wasn't my cup brew. Do try it though. They also collaborate with El Tio which is the restaurant on the corner and it's a great set up. The food that night was so delicious that I feel like I need to write a separate review for El Tio. LOL. Learned a bit of history about the brewery and that was nice. I could see stopping in again if I'm in the FC area. The space was nice and ask about the history of the wood tables and rails. Really neat. I love when nature can be recaptured and used for beautiful furniture. I would recommend a half priced growler night to get beer lovers out on a non weekend nights. I can't remember which night they did the 20% discounts and tried to find it on the website but no such luck. They do have one though, just can't remember which day. Go check it out either way. Settle Down Easy had a unique and vast array of brews for varying palates to enjoy - Gose, Kolsch, Hefeweizen, IPA, Doppelbock, Stout and Seltzer. Their relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff was a fun place to hang with friends. Although we weren't visiting during their acoustic or trivia night, I've heard great things about the line up. This is great little secret brewery off 29 in Falls Church. A friend introduced us to her favorite, called Scoville Sting, which has a hint of jalapeño and is a unique beer. But all of the beers we tasted here tonight were really good. We previously had another called "Ghost of Val", brewed with a hint of habenero pepper, which I can't wait until they brew again. Settle Down Easy is an awesome local brewery with friendly staff and great beers! My wife and I recently moved to Falls Church and I was excited to discover there was a brewery right down the road from our new home. We moved during the earlier phases of the Covid-19 shutdowns so my first visit to the brewery was just to pick up a growler and some cans to-go. The beer was great! Sometimes smaller craft breweries can be hit or miss with their beer, but I've enjoyed each one I've tried so far especially one of their staple IPA's - 2 Cloud 9. Once restrictions started to be lifted I was happy to see SDE setup some tents for people to enjoy their beers outside. My wife and I have been going regularly ever since and are always impressed by the friendly staff and quality of the beer. One of the owners has been there almost every time we've gone and is great to talk to. We've started getting some of our friends hooked on SDE as well. There's plenty of room to spread out and social distance and I've always felt comfortable there. Aside from the great beer, SDE offers live music on occasion, has trivia night, and even has a taco stand inside the brewery that is run by the El Tio restaurant located in the same shopping center. Their outdoor area is dog-friendly as well which is great for us - we bring our puppy with us almost every time! I would recommend SDE to anyone looking for some great local beer in a welcoming and fun environment. I look forward to spending plenty of time there now that we live so close! read more

Great home-grown brewery and hands down the best in the Falls Church/Merrifield area. My husband and I live up the street and have been by 5 times in the last few months. Each time we are there - new beers are on tap all really great. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly. I recently hosted a post-charity event happy hour. We were given ample space in the brewery, a quick tour and ordered great food from El Tio. Set up and coordination was smooth. Looking forward to becoming regulars there! read more

This place is right next door to our home so my wife and I had to stop by. We've visted three times so far. The place is nestled in a non-descript shopping center behind El Tio on Lee Hwy. The place serves a number of beers, some of which are switched out. The only beer I really enjoyed was the Mang-Hoppah which is a mango-vanilla infused IPA. The other beers were okay, but that was the only one that stood out. I got a 64oz. growler fill for only $18. Prices are good. You can order flights. They have poker chips that are color coded with the beer menu. Lots of families and small children come here. They also have a food stand that is run separately by El Tio. I just have a few recommendations for this place to succeed. 1. Keep improving the beer selection 2. Serve non-beer options, like actual water and sodas. Currently all you can get is a small cup with directions to a water fountain. 3. Consider making this a dog friendly venue. I'm not sure if VA allows this, but in MD they do and it draws a lot of people. 4. Allow folks to being in their own snacks. Overall a decent place to grab a beer, but still some things to work out. read more

Very nice local brewery with a variety of beer. From wheats to goses to IPAs there's something for everyone. It's pretty wide open, spacious, with some board games. A few TVs as well. Hopped kolsch is on point, just hope they get a crowler machine as paying ~$4 for a can seems a bit much (it's good, just not THAT good). Overall solid selection of beer options. Has food available from nearby mexican restaurant. Not a negative aspect but be aware that it's not really a child friendly brewery. Have taken my son and it just doesn't have the layout to handle kids moving around. Open concept means kids could get to brewery equipment or street door which is sometimes left open..for that reason I probably won't be back anytime soon but I get it, can't accommodate everyone Hopping they find success in an ever crowded brewing scene. read more

I just love coming here. The beer is great and ever changing, the people are incredible, and the vibe is perfect. I've been here by myself to quietly read, by myself to meet people, with my wife to watch a game, with my brother to catch up, and with my toddler after a long day. We've always had a great time. The rotating new selections are perfectly balanced with the "old" standards. For a brewery that been around for not even a year I really think they've come in knowing who they are, what they want to do, and how to make it happen. This brewery is a hidden gem (though maybe not for long). I happen to live nearby and my wife and I went on a Sunday afternoon. Great atmosphere, AMAZING beer-take a look at the tap list online to see what they have. We will be heading back here often, maybe not going to El Tio anymore as we can get all the food at SDE but with better beer options. There is a kid policy, but we were fine with our 15-month-old running around, it's there simply to protect other customers if your kid is out of control. read more

The first plus is ample parking. After battling Fairfax traffic, it is nice to drive in and find a parking spot close to the establishment. The clean, open space creates an inviting place for mixing and mingling while enjoying the delicious beer, which is served by a friendly staff. We were so happy to hear that a brewery opened near us (3.4 miles from our front door), but we were even happier when we tried the beer. They have a good selection of beers without any of what I call "gimmick" beers (i.e. the ones that you have to try in a flight so that you don't miss out, but that you can't drink by the pint because, blech). I haven't tried every beer (I'm not a huge fan of IPAs), but every beer I have tried has been very good. Also, they have a deal with El Tio (a mexican restaurant a few tens of years away). El Tio has a small stand in the brewery where you can get chips and salsa, queso, or guacamole, and a few things, but you can also order any item from the El Tio menu and they will deliver it to the brewery (someone literally walks it over). The owners and staff are friendly and personable and the atmosphere is very nice, with a lot of regulars. read more

More like "settle down and ease up" up-tight manager dude at Settle Down Easy. Rude experience for wanting a table as a walk-in while a larger group had the majority of the brewery. Was told there is a $300 minimum to reserve a table for up to 10 and "it's on our website" was repeated at me multiple times. I was simply walking in off the street with maybe up to 10 people and asked if we could take an unused table that seats about 8 and asked that the table be move (table is on wheels) about 2 feet to avoid interfering with the other group using the space. While I was ultimately accommodated at SDE, we left and went to El Tios, enjoyed great food, margs, outdoor dining and delightful service. read more
