This brewery inhabits a large space - it reminds me of a warehouse, which is perfect to house brewing equipment. There are a ton of tables and chairs, plus a huge bar that runs one side of the space. I sat at the bar and orderded a flight, which gave me 4 separate tastes. Additionally I ordered a hot dog. The beers and service were just OK, but the hotdog was amazing.

One of the last breweries I hit up while in VA. The staff is really friendly and the beer is delicious. We came on a Thursday afternoon so it wasn't too busy. I tried a few beers with a flight but I must say the Hot Mama definitely woke me up and cleared by throat! They also have a Mexican food stand where you can order snacks or a meal. Good spot - very spacious and casual.

Friendly bartender who was very informative and gave us a few different samples to try. A good range of rotating drafts. There is a decent amount of seating. Lots of evening events like open mic nights. There was an unannounced Russian trivia event on a Sunday evening which was pretty loud and disruptive though.

Amazing brewery with very friendly staff and delicious beer. It was not as busy as audacious Alewerks nearby which was nice on a Saturday afternoon. There is plenty of seating and you can walk right into the brewery area which is cool as well.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The beer is great. The staff is super friendly and the owners are great people. They have a wide variety of beer so everyone can find something they like. They also offer hard seltzer, cider and wine for folks who don't like or can't have beer. They also have soda and other NA drinks. SDE just recently started having their own food. It's minimal but sufficient. They partner with El Tio Tex Mex restaurant and have a station setup in the brewery where you can get their delicious food. Seriously the tacos, nachos and everything are stellar. SDE cares about community involvement and has worked with a nonprofit I'm part of. They're just great. Stop by for a tasty pint!

Great beer, great people and great atmosphere. What more could you ask for? Came to Settle Down Easy Brewing on a rainy weekend after looking for newer breweries in the area and reading their origin story on their website. They have a diverse selection of traditional German style beer and some IPA as well as sour varieties. They also have a partnership with the Mexican restaurant next door, so you can get food to enjoy with your beer. I would definitely come back. Thanks!

First timer .. was visiting VA and searching some local breweries and found this one .. parking was a little crazy . Difficult to get a spot.. Once in , we looked at all local brews ... there were a couple of them which we loved . Tried it and got the best ones. Loved the yooper dew and 2 cloud 9 ! Absolutely awesome . I ordered 4 pack cans but was stunned with the price . They costed about 25$!! Ufff that's expensive. Have been to many many brews but never paid 25$ for a 4 pack. If not for the price, I think this brewery is great . If the price was less , I would have given them a 5

    The Cobbleberry and The Razzy

We came across this place on a few searches so we decided to make a stop on a Saturday afternoon. The place has a pretty good amount of parking and even have a diagram inside of where you can/cannot park but its pretty easy to figure out. They have a nice outdoor patio section and a good amount of tables inside with a few TVs as well. We didn't order any but they had a small El Tio inside if you want to order some Tex-Mex. Beerwise, we got the Razzy and Cobbleberry sours, the Pecan porter, and the Barleywine. Loved the Razzy the most, but the Cobbleberry was pretty close second. Both had a good tanginess to them, but I got more fruit from the Razzy. The Pecan Porter was ok, not a heavy pecan flavor in my opinion but still got mild sweetness. My girlfriend was a big fan of the Barleywine as well. Overall, pretty laid back vibe, staff was pretty nice, and the beers were decent. Seemed like they're pretty welcoming towards kids and they even have a small games corner. I would definitely come back again to watch a game again and hang out.

Really nice place to hang out and try a flight. I've been a fan since their open. You can order food from the nearby Mexican restaurant. I'm fact, they sometimes set up a booth inside for ordering. I will definitely be back. I like the concept of having little chips to identify the beers you chose! It's easy to keep track that way.

Each order comes as one large deboned piece of meat, which is then cut into bite-sized pieces--easy to eat by hand or with a fork. They're available in a variety of flavors. I ordered them dry and got several sauces on the side to mix things up. Highly recommend. Seating - The restaurant has a surprising amount of seating. There's just as much indoor seating as there is outdoor, and possibly even more inside thanks to the bar and high-top tables. It's a great spot to start your night, end your night, or enjoy happy hour with friends after work. Service - For a bar, I thought the service was really good. Multiple waiters checked in on us, and we never had to wait for water or anything else. The recommendations they gave were great, and they stayed attentive throughout the night--even though it was moderately busy when we went. Pro tip: Be prepared to sit inside if you're hoping for a meaningful conversation--the street noise outside is quite loud. Between the main thoroughfare and the neighboring restaurants in the same alcove, it can get pretty noisy. If you value good conversation, you'll definitely want to opt for indoor seating. Pro tip: There isn't much parking in the area, so give yourself an extra 5-10 minutes when planning your visit.

They also have two large coolers of canned beer, ciders, NA beer, NA beverages, and more that you can take with your or enjoy on site. There is a 40% discount for 6+ beers to go. This place has a large and established regular scene. They also have a Mug Club membership which gets you more beer per pour and some other perks. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and dogs are welcome outside. There's also several TVs for sports, and a ton of board and card games you can play. Jeff does a stellar job every Tuesday with trivia. There are themed trivia nights (Disney, Harry Potter, Marvel, etc.) sometimes that tend to get PACKED. So if you're planning to go, plan ahead and go early. The kitchen staff rock and are efficient at getting food out quickly. Everything is cooked in an oven. The pretzel and beer cheese is very popular and yummy. The food overall is average, but Darren does a good job of rotating specials throughout the year. Some of my personal favorite items (note some are specials) : Philly cheesesteak eggrolls, BBQ chicken nachos, German brat, CBR flatbread + drunken onions and peppers, the Apple pie quesadilla and the Elvis dilla. If you're looking for an amazing sit down dinner, this probably isn't your spot. But if you're looking for a great beer selection, awesome people, and a bite to eat this is definitely for you! The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable on beer. A few of them have the level 1 Cicerone certification. Admittedly, I bartended here for a year and just recently left due to moving. I frequented this place before I started working and I will return from time to time now as a customer. This is my honest feedback.

The beer list was good, the pours were nice, temp was a little colder than room temperature, which I'm fine with but some people don't love it. The food was just ok, with the tots being the clear winner. I would go back for the beer (they have "to-go" in addition to draft) and it seemed like the bartender was friendly if you were sitting at the bar. The biergarten has ample canopy seating with long benches and tabletops, perfect for groups! You can't make reservations. They have a strict policy of no outside food or drinks. The ambiance is very casual and there's no table service. Rather than ordering through a QR code, place your order at the bar and then you'll get a text alert when the food is ready for pick-up at the long table closest to the bar. The line is always pretty short and you can get a drink within 5-10 min, the food takes longer and even up to 1/2 hour for fries. I would stick to the beer on draft, the cocktails can be hit/miss depending on the bartender, the draft drinks tend to have better consistency. The Wildberry Mule cocktail and Pina Colada Sangria and Peach Seltzer on draft were my picks while the Bourbon Smash, Passionfruit Mojito, Pina Colada Mojito, and the Passionfruit Seltzer were misses. On the flip side, the bartenders poured a generous amount of Prosecco for Mimosas, much appreciated! The bottled Angry Orchard apple cider is generally my go-to. There's always a mocktail on the menu (came in handy when I was pregnant!) The new battered fries are so much better than last year! The menu is limited with simple bar food (bbq pulled pork sandwich, burger, grilled cheese, hot dog, fries, kettle chips). Wish there were more vegetarian options like charcuterie board, hummus and crackers, nachos, mac and cheese, etc. While I give credit for having a Veggie Burger on the menu, it's sad and disappointing. It has a very smoky meaty flavor (from the grill, not the patty) with lackluster toppings - the vegan cheese is disgusting. I would swap out the kettle chips and pay the upcharge for fries. The doughy pretzel sticks are quite salty and a step up from the movie theater. They are good for absorbing the alcohol! Despite these minor complaints, I love coming here with family and fries. So glad The Perch opened up, Starr Hill Biergarten is a great spot to kick back and relax with a beer or 2!

We had the slider package, mac and cheese, onion rings, artichoke dip, and baked potatoes. Everyone raved about the sliders (my dad's personal favorite was the reuben one - he had four). My mom, an onion ring fan, was very happy. There were only good things to say about the food. The bartenders were extremely attentive to the party and there was never a build up at the bar.
