I came in for the first time today to get a haircut, and was very impressed! Hana did a fabulous job. She was friendly, professional, and very thorough! And for the price, I am blown away. I'm always wary of those salon's that charge $50-80 just for a simple haircut. I'm very happy to have found this place because for $35 I got a shampoo, cut, and style. The salon itself is easy to find, located right off Park Street. Upon walking in, I noticed right away that it was spotlessly clean, minimal and classy. My girlfriend went here for a haircut and they didn't do what she wanted which was to dye all her hair a light brown color. A lot of her hair inside (she has a thick hair) was not dyed & not even the right color so she kindly asked to get it redone. And went she went to get it redone the person doing her hair gaslit her and was talking shit in vietnamese to her WHILE making it darker and worst than it was before. A waste of $200 and almost made her cry I HIGHLY don't recommend unless you understand vietnamese, have thinner hair and don't mind all the other complaints I mentioned. read more

Tinneke at Sessions is the best! I've been going to her for a couple years now, and I followed her to Sessions. First off, Sessions is a great salon, very well laid-out, good lighting, clean, all that good stuff. If Tinneke moved to North Dakota tomorrow, I would still stay with the salon. But, since Tinneke better not be planning on leaving any time soon, this review will focus on her. She's AMAZING. I first went to her with an abstract idea of short hair, and she was able to tell what kind of cut I would be comfortable with, what would work for my hair type (kind of curly, fine hair but a whole lot of it), and what would work with my lifestyle (freedom to be creative at work, but only about 5 minutes to spare in the morning to style it). I made an appointment by phone, and it turned out that they had another appointment at the same time. When I got there at 4:30 pm, I was told that my appointment was at 5:45 pm even though the note she has clearly shown that someone wrote it down as 4:45 pm for my name and number. Hands down the best hair stylist I've been to! Kelly is a lovely, patient stylist who's amazing at her craft. I could tell she had finesse when she began working on my hair, and she made sure to clarify with me what I wanted before beginning the process. I was especially thankful that she toned my hair twice to make my ashy hair last longer out the salon, when other stylists would likely not do that for their clients unless they asked. My appointment took 6 hours, and I'm not sure if either of us was expecting it to take that long (not me at least haha), but I was so grateful that she was patient the entire time and didn't rush to get me out the door! His assistant was super on it and I'm pretty amazed that Fred can handle 5+ people's hairs at once while still doing an outstanding job. During COVID, my dyed hair grew out significantly. I asked Elizabeth for a silvery/ ash blonde color on my dark brown hair with grown out blonde. Very expensive for hair bleaching and kelly doesn't even know how to create desired color. I was told I would get my desired color if I wash with purple shampoo when the final product was way different than what I wanted. I gave her the money in good faith and depending on her false promise. She is NOT good at doing good color scheme. Very very mediocre on normal hair coloring. I really wouldn't recommend her... Update: She argued with me over the phone when I told her the false promise end up not working. She reverted back to argumentative and tried to change what she said before. I never had blonde hair before and was too scared to try it because I heard how damaging and difficult the process is... bleaching thick, black asian hair to an extremely light blonde, almost platinum/silver is not easy at all. However, Kelly and her assistant was super amazing with the whole 9 hour process. Yes it was 9 hours, but it was so worth it!!! Kelly was super friendly and made me feel very welcomed - she even ordered me a Starbucks coffee of my choice which I found super sweet of her. Kelly knows exactly what she is doing and will explain if you have questions - very informative. She takes her time with everything from bleaching to toning, and then a trim and deep conditioning if you have time. She is very knowledgeable about canceling brassy tones and using tones that will match will with your hair color so that it all blends seemingly. There was a small coloring error and Kelly was nice enough to fix it right away the next day - she listens to exactly what you are looking for :) I am so happy and impressed with the overall results with my hair! BEWARE OF THIS SALON ESP TINNEKE!!! First all, I have colored black hair a month and half ago. I'm checking if they can put s caramel balayage in my hair without damage . I'm calling all my constant hair colorist thus week but no one is available . I'm going to Las Vegas for a wedding this Sunday . I wanna check if they can do something about it or not. And I wouldn't mind keeping it if they suggest they couldn't cuz my hair is black and for sure if they going to do balayage highlights it's going to be more dry and damaged by using Bleach! I told her in the beginning my hair is dry so if she told me she wouldn't touch it because it be more damaged I'm ok with it and I just leave . She told me it's ok and it will be fine, she said she can do it . If your a professional colorist you should know exactly what to be done or not for the sake of the customers hair. Not just because of the MONEY , and she done it for her sake !! She only put 15 foils on my hair then she put me in the head heater whatever you call that . She left me there for awhile and I even called her after 15 minutes cuz it's the I can feel the heat in my hair so bad and I'm worried about my hair cuz she put bleach on it. After 25 minutes she came to me and told me let's go wash my hair and then she put i guess the color developer .
