Just adding on here from previous reviews - we tried the big nacho (new item from Session), it was very strange. It was basically a giant cracker/tostada with toppings? I wouldn't get it again. The flautas are always a hit, we enjoy those. We also tried the chicken fajita quesadilla - that was very good! I was impressed with the portion size and the filling inside. Also liked that it came with sour cream and guac

Consistent decent tacos. They're not mind blowing like some other fusion tacos, but if you're close and in the mood for such things, it's worth having a meal here.

It's still just Mission Taco. Same super family restaurant or great place to meet a large or small group of friends or co-workers. We love the attached arcade! The kids have something to do while waiting for food or when the "I'm bored" syndrome kicks in. Service was attentive and easy going. Food was tasty. Queso was great. They also have a decent Happy Hour!

I live in San Diego, this is awful. The green salsa was so bad, the guac was under seasoned, the veggie burrito and taco was just fine. I'd never come back

Our server overall provided our table great service. Weather this evening was cool and relaxing which is why we chose this place because Teddy our dog is allowed in the outdoor patio. Please continue to offer the NA beverages. Tried the NA Paloma and would order that again. Chips and salsa appetizer worked well for our table & it would be helpful if on the menu it noted this appetizer did allow chip refill since we had extra salsa. We asked our server for additional chips and we were able to enjoy with remaining salsa. One thing we were not too thrilled about is the way the tacos are served to the table. The taco holders are a great idea but would be better if each customer got their own taco holders / served each customer their tacos in separate plates / dishes because it is easy to forget certain taco types when all placed in one to two ala carte taco holders and the tacos do not have labels. We appreciate the server and the other team members knowing the names of the tacos when bringing the order but afterwards we had to guess on a few of tacos in the middle of our meal because because certain tacos looked similar. We plan to return and hope there is a less confusing way tacos can be served to each table in the future, especially when there is more than two customers in a party.

I ordered lunch take out of crab taquitos and guac and chips. Very tasty. The orders were bigger than expected, so the price was okay (felt high initially). Order was ready when required. Didn't eat in restaurant but it's usually a great experience. Kudos to MT for their support of GSM event.

We came back here again to use our leftover MTJ tokens. It was packed with kids and families inside the arcade room and the restaurant around dinner time on a thursday. We decided to wait to see if it gets less busy. So we ordered some appetizers: Empanada and Carne Asada fries. They were short staffed. It took 1h to get our food. Our waitress explained us the situation and apologized. She was very nice. And they didn't charge us! This is a really good customer care. Ofcourse we left tip for this great service! Pinball machines were all good in shape today and we enjoyed our time here.

Came for dinner with 6 and made a reservation and able to get seated early, we had a pitcher of margarita, queso, chips and salsa, piggy and south beach burritos, cheese and chicken quesadillas, carne asada tacos, hot Nashville chicken tacos and carnitas tacos. Service was friendly and nice. Everything tasted good, big space with plenty of seating at bar, inside and out. Arcade area next door. Although the kids didn't want to play.

The tacos were so good and obviously the guacamole was incredible. We also got n/a margaritas and they tasted just like the real thing! From the bartenders to our server, everyone was so kind and attentive. We sat outside and it was a great night for it. Their happy hour deals are also so good!

Excellent Food, great service. Located in Kirkwood downtown place. It was noisy just like any other good Mexican restaurant on a Saturday evening. We ordered chips and salsa for the table -- tons of fresh chips and medium & hot salsa. Satisfying indeed ! Had only one option for chicken burrito - South Beach - it was bland and just okish. Ordered assorted tacos - grilled chicken, portobello, hot fried chicken, Baja fish. All were great but portobello was my favorite and Baja fish least favorite.

Delicious! One of my favorite places for tacos, but my first time visiting the Kirkwood location. This location has a arcade room which makes it unique from other Mission Tacos in STL. Service was very friendly and our food came out surprisingly fast for a Saturday afternoon. We ordered the chips and queso con chorizo and a variety of tacos. My only complaint is that the food wasn't really warm at all (maybe it's not supposed to be?) even though it came out so quickly, but it really didn't negatively impact the flavor or my experience. I've gone to Mission Taco several times over the years and would highly recommend!

    Chorizo con Queso and salsa.

I have always been a fan of Mission Taco (I don't care what they call it now). Our waitress was really great, i have to get better about names. Stressed it seemed but she had a lot of awful kids in her section. She made a mistake with our chips and queso, but wholly admitted it and was like well i just totally made that up. Which I genuinely appreciated the human nature of it. The food was great as usual. We got the dessert empandas to go and they were amazing! The chocolate that comes with it... OMG! I will say for this location; beware of the Kirkwood parents though. Kids running all over the place and carrying on so loud we moved tables. The parents act like "well they are just kids and everyone should understand". Well I have a kid as well and she does not and will not act these kids. Just to mention, it was multiple families of awful kids. This last part is absolutely a petty jab at the clientele and not the business.

The second cocktail was one of my all-time favorites, a Old Fashioned. I can honestly say, it was one of the best, if not the absolute best one I have ever had. I finished the HH with a Espresso Martini. It was a good ending to my HH. They use a Cold Brew instead of true espresso, so it had a milder coffee taste. My nosh while drinking was a, Jalapeño Popper Dip. It was okay, in my opinion, it did not fit the description on the menu. Especially, the type of chips described. My friend ordered, The Small Board and it was fantastic and a good value. Our bartenders were friendly and as I stated earlier, they are masters of their skill. What stopped them from getting a 5 Star review, is simple. They do not offer a Martini on their Happy Hour Menu. I had my first dinner of my stay at Olive + Oak, and it blew me away from the moment I laid my eyes on it. From the unsuspecting street outside, the giant windows glow with the warm, sparkling light from within. An elegant dining room with a beautiful bar and a good amount of hustle and bustle. I felt like I was at an upscale New Orleans joint. Very cozy. Service was just as beautiful. Our server was extremely nice, new the menu backwards and forwards, and rattled off the nightly specials without hesitation. And on top of all of that, when we were getting some stuff to-go, she threw in more bread for us! You can't train that level of service. That's just a good person. Onto the food. We started off with the Blue Crab Gratin (calabrian chili, celery + pretzel bread). This was ooey, gooey, cheesy, delicious, had a fair amount of crab in it, had a nice little kick, and the sliced, crunchy pretzel bread dippers were exquisite. Something seasonal that isn't on their menu anymore, we ordered an Okonomiyaki, which is a savory Japanese pancake, basically, covered in sauce. Wow, this thing was done well. Very reminiscent of the authentic thing I've had in Japan. Very nice. Another dish that isn't on the menu anymore, the Catfish dish. It was slightly Asian and on top of some sort of risotto rice. I can't remember exactly, but I do remember that it was very well cooked, had a nice char. An eclectic dish that came together very nicely. I also got to try some of the Rabbit Crepe (port wine braised rabbit, blueberry, fennel, arugula + kenny's bleu gouda crepe). Some people might shudder at the idea of eating rabbit. Those people need to grow up. Rabbit is one of the most succulent, delicious meats out there, and in this wonderful flavor combination, in a crepe. This chef is genius. I could have downed two of these things. We finished off the night with the recommended Cloud Cake (vanilla chiffon cake, coconut pastry cream, coconut + whipped cream icing). This thing was de-ca-dent. A nice, thicc sponge, a very coconuty cream, and a whipped icing with lots of coconut pulp in it. So heavenly. Overall, my socks were blown off. Not only does St. Louis have good food, this was a better meal than I had in Nashville and Kansas City. Who would have guessed. I would love to come back.
