Can a dive bar be cute? If so, The Lounge is a cute dive bar…read more It is simply decorated, compact in size and a welcoming atmosphere. I discovered, The Lounge because I arrived super early for a wine tasting at another business in the plaza. My friend and I were immediately won over, when we saw the bar dog. Her name is, Lucy. I liked that the front window is tinted so you cannot see in, but once inside you can clearly see the outside. If you like to play slots while you sip your inexpensive cocktail, The Lounge has about 4 or 6 machines for you to play. If you do, good luck. Best of all, the drinks are super affordable aka "cheap". The bartender was friendly to us being newcomers. Seeing the rest of the patrons at the bar and every stool was full, you could tell they were regulars at this neighborhood watering hole. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd definitely stop by for a cocktail.

There is a generously sized bar and with a few high top tables along the side wall. There are several slot machines if you're interested in trying your luck! The bar offers your standard fare of beer, wine, mixed drinks and shots. They offer a few prepackaged snacks including chips and nuts. We were able to order a small pizza. They offer the Dog Town frozen pizzas. These are among my favorite pizzas. And it paired well with the ice cold beer. Our bartender was friendly and made sure we were taken care of.

God, I absolutely love this place…read more I first started loving STL Barkeep cocktails back in 2020 when they were offering the pre-mix, batched, cocktails delivered to your door. I was sold. They exceed my expectations every time. We live in the neighborhood and after years of having STL Barkeep cocktails from various pop-ups it was AMAZING when they moved to Webster. We have been a few times since they opened and I get the Old Fashioned, with a Rye blend, every time and hands down it is the VERY best and I have probably tried---- 40-50 place's Old Fashioneds across the US with the majority of those being in St. Louis and the only one that even comes close is the Planter House Old Fashioned or their Black Manhattan. Its cozy and intimate in there but it is indeed loud when its very busy. Emily is a lovely bartender who chatted with us and talked cocktails and such while we were being served. We have not eaten there only ordered cocktails and we will go back many times over!

I came for a HH and enjoyed three different cocktails. My first was a Gold Rush. It's basically a Bees Knees with Vodka instead of Gin. It was light and refreshing, making it a great start. The second cocktail was one of my all-time favorites, a Old Fashioned. I can honestly say, it was one of the best, if not the absolute best one I have ever had. I finished the HH with a Espresso Martini. It was a good ending to my HH. They use a Cold Brew instead of true espresso, so it had a milder coffee taste. My nosh while drinking was a, Jalapeño Popper Dip. It was okay, in my opinion, it did not fit the description on the menu. Especially, the type of chips described. My friend ordered, The Small Board and it was fantastic and a good value. Our bartenders were friendly and as I stated earlier, they are masters of their skill. What stopped them from getting a 5 Star review, is simple. They do not offer a Martini on their Happy Hour Menu. I'm a Martini Man and that disappointed me, but it wont keep me away, it just keeps them short of 5 Stars.

It was very loud when we visited, not because of the karaoke, so it was a bit difficult to speak with the bartenders. I guess people were having a good time! There are lots of drink choices at reasonable prices. There is also food, which I didn't try. For the karaoke, you go up to the KJ get into the queue, and then add your songs across the evening for each of your turns. There was quite a variety being sung. You sing in front of the fireplace. There is a little bit of room to dance around the edges but not much. Despite being a "nonsmoking" bar, there were patrons vaping indoors and there was a cigarette smell inside (perhaps wafting in from the smokers outside?). The ladies bathroom was very clean. There is free parking outside in their attached lot, but you might have to get creative if you get there later in the night, as the lot gets crowded. This bar has a fun vibe for your friend group to go blow off some steam, but probably not a good place to take a first date.

The staff was busy bringing out chips and salsa. The were filling water glasses. The server was also busy serving table. The hostess were polite. Great job by all of the staff. I wasn't impressed with the food. The chips were great. The salsa was just okay. It initially has a smokey taste. I assumed it was fire roasted. Then is was sweet. Finally it was sort of sp8cy. It was pretty unique. The guacamole was excellent. The Mexican rice was decent. The Mexican Street Corn was okay. I've had much better. It was smokey at first bite. It moved to a sweet flavor then a hint of spice. It was my least favorite thing that I had. I won't get it again. But I can eat it. I had the wagyu flank steak. I dont believe it was actually wagyu. It was chewy and salty. That's not typical of wagyu. Normally it is very tender and flavorful. The saly took away from the beef. The chicken enchiladas was good, but not great. I had a Margarita and Sangria to drink. The Margarita was strong but something was missing. The Sangria was okay. Again I've had much better. There was plenty of parking. They have a full bar. The offer a huge selection of tequila.
