Can a dive bar be cute? If so, The Lounge is a cute dive bar…read more It is simply decorated, compact in size and a welcoming atmosphere. I discovered, The Lounge because I arrived super early for a wine tasting at another business in the plaza. My friend and I were immediately won over, when we saw the bar dog. Her name is, Lucy. I liked that the front window is tinted so you cannot see in, but once inside you can clearly see the outside. If you like to play slots while you sip your inexpensive cocktail, The Lounge has about 4 or 6 machines for you to play. If you do, good luck. Best of all, the drinks are super affordable aka "cheap". The bartender was friendly to us being newcomers. Seeing the rest of the patrons at the bar and every stool was full, you could tell they were regulars at this neighborhood watering hole. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd definitely stop by for a cocktail.

I happened on this spot when visiting a shop in the same shopping plaza. This has to be one of the…read morecleanest dive bars I've ever been in. There is a generously sized bar and with a few high top tables along the side wall. There are several slot machines if you're interested in trying your luck! The bar offers your standard fare of beer, wine, mixed drinks and shots. They offer a few prepackaged snacks including chips and nuts. We were able to order a small pizza. They offer the Dog Town frozen pizzas. These are among my favorite pizzas. And it paired well with the ice cold beer. Our bartender was friendly and made sure we were taken care of.

No matter…read morewho is behind the bar day or night you'll be met with a smiling face and the best service around! It can get crowded on Fridays and Saturdays but that's to be expected when everyone loves it here. It has pool tables and darts. It also has karaoke on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Great place to take friends for a great night out! Ambiance is warm and inviting and a place where everyone will know your name eventually.

We visited The Fireplace Bar for Friday night karaoke. This is a dive bar, in a good way. There are…read morepool tables and darts. It was very loud when we visited, not because of the karaoke, so it was a bit difficult to speak with the bartenders. I guess people were having a good time! There are lots of drink choices at reasonable prices. There is also food, which I didn't try. For the karaoke, you go up to the KJ get into the queue, and then add your songs across the evening for each of your turns. There was quite a variety being sung. You sing in front of the fireplace. There is a little bit of room to dance around the edges but not much. Despite being a "nonsmoking" bar, there were patrons vaping indoors and there was a cigarette smell inside (perhaps wafting in from the smokers outside?). The ladies bathroom was very clean. There is free parking outside in their attached lot, but you might have to get creative if you get there later in the night, as the lot gets crowded. This bar has a fun vibe for your friend group to go blow off some steam, but probably not a good place to take a first date.

Our…read morefirst cocktails were okay, the skinny marg was average and the New Fashion was a slow sipper, not as smooth as their traditional old fashioned. The classic marg and watermelon mint marg were both much better choices. The fajita filet was amazing, melted like butter in your mouth and the bone marrow was a great bonus. The wagyu flank came out overcooked the first time and was a bit tough. We sent it back and the second one was much better. The fries with it were average, better once soaked in the steak juice. Service was very polite and they comped one of our cocktails for the overcooked flank steak. But they only refilled our water glasses once and disappeared after that. The restaurant is very nice with multiple seating options, in the dining room, high tops, at the bar, and they have a great closed in patio that have garage style doors that can open in nice weather. The outdoor green space looked really nice as well. It is in the pricey side, which aligns with their Twisted restaurants. But the steak quality was at least great.

Kind of felt like we were being rushed. The queso fondue was horrible just a congealed pot of melted cheese that you had to take out with a fork and knife. It's a shame because I love the Sybergs restaurants especially twisted tree but this one I did not like.
