Any of my friends who have dined here have raved about this place. I'm not not 100% sure I can trust their opinions though. I'm snobby like that when it comes to food (and music). So when I finally got a chance to try Sespe, I was expecting to be disappointed. In fact, I was going here hoping to NOT like it just to say my friends are FOS. But I can't find any fault with the burgers here. The charred Double Sespe Cart burger was outstanding. As were the Pastrami Fries. I've missed the iconic In-N-Out Burger ever since I moved back here from SoCal. Sespe burger, by far, is the closest thing I've had to a Double-Double. Definitely a fan. This was my first visit which was long overdue. The specialize in smash burgers and man are they special. I went with the Sespe Cart burger which is topped with American cheese, Tomato, Grilled Onion and Sespe Sauce. Every bite was filled with good flavor and just the right amount of juiciness from the burger. Now for the side of Avo & Egg Fries that I ordered. They are made to order, fresh French fries that are topped with Avocado, Pesto Mayo and an over easy egg. Oh mamma is this delicious. Exactly what you should hope, a perfect smashed patty and few ingredients. Their Sespe sauce is tasted like a Worchester sauce and mayo mix. I've been trying to "get here" for so long now and once I found out that they are open until 7pm on Thursdays, I finally made it in for a visit! I placed my order via their mobile app. I arrived about 5 minutes earlier than the time I requested my order be ready, so I just waited in a parking space until my exact time. I pulled into the drive thru and gave them the name for the order and the friendly employee thanked me and I drove off. I didn't want to drive all of the way home because I know food like this is better tasting the sooner you can eat it. I pulled over into the mall parking lot and went to town. Both my burger and my chili cheese fries looked amazing. I was a little disappointed in the temperature because I could tell that they were made before my pickup time, but they were still warm. (I guess I should've just picked up the order when I originally pulled into the parking lot, but didn't want to make them feel rushed.) I also requested a fork and extra napkins in the special instructions section on their mobile app, but didn't get the fork to eat my chili cheese fries (luckily I am proactive and had one in my car.) Even with the minor mistakes, this place is a must try, as it's easily on of the best burgers I've had in a long while. So many friends, co-workers and strangers on social media have recommended it and I'm mad at myself that it took me this long to stop by. I will definitely be back soon to try their secret menu! I ordered a single cheeseburger with american cheese, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms and thousand Island dressing. The amount of toppings were just right. Tomato and lettuce also come on the single, but I omitted those. Let's talk about taste!! The burger was freshly grilled with nice seasoning, and crispy edges. The bun was also grilled to perfection. I would definitely return for another burger. What was disappointing were the chili cheese fries. The fries themselves were seasoned well, with a seasoning that resembles Lawry's seasoned salt. The chili was a bit on the sweeter side and seemed like just seasoned taco ground beef, and unfortunately the cheese was just shredded cheese and not cheese sauce. Overall, great burger. The place is simple with a counter to order and barstools with a counter. There is also a drive thru, but it was closed today. A steady stream of customers came through while I was there and it was close to 2pm. The clerk was friendly and made recommendations and the food was ready quickly. I had a single Cart Burger hold the onion and a fry which was just enough. They also offered a double, but that would've been too much for me. The flavor was nice, it had a Worcestershire blend sauce on it. The fry portion was generous and they had salt/seasoned salt on them. I am not someone who likes a lot of salt on my food. The fries were good, but way too much salt. I ended up dumping them in the bag and giving them a shake to knock some of it off. If I was in the area I would definitely go back! read more

This is a counter-only joint with limited seating at a counter with metal stools. The drink selection is a 12oz can or a 12oz can. Minimalist. I had a double cheeseburger and onion rings. The burgers were grilled, thin, lightly seasoned smashbugers. The edges were crispy and the center was juicy. You could eat them as burger chips. Closest style I've had is Shake Shack, but this wasn't as greasy as the shack. The American cheese melted perfectly. The toppings were perfectly complimentary grIlled onions, whole lettuce, tomatoes and 1,000 Island dressing. May have been pickles in there. IDK. Whatever it is, leave it alone. It's perfect. About $7 I think. The ORs were battered, not breaded, like God intended, and served up with some ranch dressing. Crisp, clean tasting, great compliment. The food and service is 5 star. The setting is so minimalist it borders on depressing. There's zero charm. Hope they can find better digs but they put in this big a** street sign that looks pretty permanent. You may not care.
