I visited Sespe for lunch today as I was in the area and had heard good things. I got a cheese burger and the chili-cheese fries. The burger was fanstastic! As another reviewer said, it isn't In 'N Out burger but it was definitely good. I got it with just lettuce, tomato and 1000 Island dressing, next time I'll add avocado or bacon (or maybe both)! The chili-cheese fries were just "ok". To be fair, I did take them home so they weren't freshly made and might have been better that way. The chili was good but there was actually too much used so it completely overpowered the fries and cheese. Next time I'll save the calories on the fries and get a double burger! They seem to be trying to draw the hospital crowd and are only open for lunch, would be nice to see longer hours as I think they would do well into the evening hours. read more

Original old style burger joint. Walk up, order, wait, eat. Hours are limited right now. 11a to 3 p except on Thursday til 7pm. This was my first visit and honestly I didn't know what to expect. So I ordered S.A.D. (Standard American Diet), burger, fry, and a drink. Gotta say I was not impressed...at first. Then I bit down this delicious single burger with everything on it. I'm glad we as humans have the ability to savor. This place has by far the best tasting burger and fries I've had in a long time. This place was great. The burgers are good but can get expensive fast. I got the Double Cheeseburger with bacon, avocado,egg, lettuce, and mayo. Very very good. I also got the chilli cheese fries. These were not that good. My total together was $16.50 or so. The chilli is more like a meat sauce with chilli seasoning. Kind of like taco meat with taco seasoning to compare. This is like a to go style place. It is not very comfortable to sit in there this time of the year because the door is always opening and it is cold, and it is not that very big. It is not a traditional dine in place. They have about six seats (bar style). Lunch time gets busy real fast. The food is actually cooked so it takes about 10-15 minutes depending on your order. Tried Sespe Burger for the first time the other day. Saw a recommendation online for them but had never heard of the prior to reading about them online. I went to this place before it was open and they were cooking out on a grill in the front. I ordered the Double Cheeseburger (twice) which was very good! I would highly recommend this sandwich. The picture I attached is the Sespe Cart Burger. Not too keen on that one, would be better with lettuce. Also ordered the Chili Cheese Fries that tasted a bit like sloppy joes. I would stick to the double cheeseburger, this burger slaps. I'd rate it best in town, right along side of 5 guys burgers and fries! However the wait is quite long, they need a mobile app or online ordering to become more convenient, the hours are a bit odd also. Otherwise I rate it a 4 out of 5. read more

So I was stuck in the Er with nothing but vending machine choices so I foolishly decide to scroll Yelp. Up pops this beautiful, juicy burger picture and the craving was on. Well it was 9pm and since Sespe wasn't a late night option, I settled for chicken. Couldn't get that picture out of my mind though. And the reviews confirmed what the picture sold so the next day I placed my first order and had my first bite of bliss on a bun. Fresh ground goodness. Little crispy side bites. Hamburger heaven. I will say that I don't knock something until I try it. I AM a big fan of in and out burger on the west coast, so when I hear this place in Ohio has that style of burger I went straight there. Knowing that 'in and out burger' is a love or hate type of place had me prepared for the same type of experience. I was not wrong in feeling that way. However, I did not expect to not like this. I dont think they are 'bad' but they just 'aren't my thing'. The meat was very fresh, but very very flat, thin and burnt all the way around the edges. The fries had some sort of seasoning on them which I did not like. It was not just 'salt'. They were also cold by the time I got them. The place is packed non stop so I know people love it here. I also did not find anything less than a 4 star review. However, I will conclude I just am not a fan. If you are looking for the 'in and out burger' of the midwest, then you may not like this. It has the style, but the taste does not match up for me personally. I sadly admit I threw this out. The line out the door there though shows I'm in the minority here. Got a bad grilled chicken sandwich the other day... I watched it come straight out of the kitchen into a bag. I left immediately and bit into the sandwich & the chicken meat was barely above room temperature!! literally! Without a doubt, the chicken was cooked ahead of time. Juicy, seasoned, no frills is how I would describe this burger. It doesn't need to be compared to anything else....it can stand alone. We ordered a single with bacon and plain fries and a single with mushrooms and chili cheese fries. All burgers come with onion, lettuce and tomato with cheese and yummy thousand island dressing. All of the food we ordered was good but the chili fries, I'm told, weren't something that would be reordered next time. The meat was on the sweeter side and no cheese sauce, just shredded cheese....not horrible just not preferred. We def will be back for more burgers and maybe try out the pastrami fries. read more

These burgers are hands down the best in our area! The app makes it easy to order and reorder my favorite burger setup. My favorite is two pattys with cheese, bacon, egg and whatever else comes on it. This spot is sort of like a gourmet In-N-Out burger, way better but equally addictive. read more

Loved it! My husband and I tried this place out a few weeks. We split a bacon cheeseburger, a rodeo burger, a fry and an order of onion rings. We loved everything! By far one of the best burgers around. We used to drive 45 minutes just to get the burgers back when they were still using their cart. Deliciously seasoned flat patties with the sespe sauce that makes them not feel dried out. I highly recommend the double cart burger with bacon and avocado or get the patty melt with bacon. So good we had them cater our sons bday party and got rave reviews from all the guests. You will not be disappointed with these burgers! read more

We were excited to go here because it got good reviews, hubby was in the mood for a hamburger, and because they have veggie (Impossible) burgers, and I'm vegetarian. So my husband had a double cheeseburger, and I had The Impossible cheese burger. Because we read the reviews warning us, we only ordered one order of fries. Glad we did, because the fries were indeed mediocre. I'm not sure why the owners don't read all of these reviews and consider using a different kind of fries. It's not that hard to make good, crispy, plain fries. Definitely not worth the calories! Also, the only kind of regular cheese they carry is American, although they do have vegan cheese for the veggie burger, which was actually a step up from American cheese. They didn't ask us what we wanted on our burgers, so the veggie burger came with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mustard. My husband's burger came with lettuce, tomatoes, maybe something else but a mayonnaise-based "goo" overpowered everything! He actually liked the burger, but it would've been nice if they would have asked if he wanted the sauce or not. He said it resembled a Big Mac, and that it had that "special sauce." Overall, it was satisfying, and we're grateful for the veggie option, but definitely not worth a special trip. read more
