Kevin from Radford Restoration was such a blessing!…read more After water leaked through the roof of my condo, my upstairs ceiling was a mess. Being part of an HOA, I was told the inside repairs would be my problem. I had no idea where to turn, or how to start this process, so I reached out to my local FB page. Kevin was one of the first to offer to help, providing his website and even DMing me immediately. I got a flood of comments but chose to give Kevin a call first. This was the best decision I could have made. Kevin was extremely forthcoming, friendly and unbelievable helpful. He took the time to talk with me and even offered to go to my condo asap to look at the damage. He went over the same day and called me immediately with his thoughts and advice. I never felt pressured to work with him or that he was rushing me to make a decision. In fact, it was just the opposite. He told me I could call him anytime and ask him any questions I had even if I don't use him. Spoiler alert, I totally used him. A no brainer! From start to finish, Kevin came through for me. He showed up on time, his crew was respectful of my property, he communicated every step of the way, took photos, and even went above at beyond by being the middle man for me with my adjustor and insurance company. I was super stressed at the beginning of this journey but Kevin took all of that off my hands. Kevin and his crew completed all the needed repairs in the upstairs loft and bathroom areas that were affected and were in and out in 3 days tops. They left the house immaculate, took every precaution, and made this whole process a breeze. I can not recommend Kevin enough and will sing his praises to anyone who will listen. Bottom line: Kevin is my go-to guy now and he should be yours too.

NEVER let these people "service you" !! If I could give…read morezero stars I would. Kevin took advantage of my unwarranted anxiety. Barely a 1/4 inch of water in my semi finished basement after some heavy rain. This was supposed to be a "friend" / they quoted me as if I lived in an industrial building. My son and I had already wet vacced most of the water and it was receding. I was so taken by these shysters. They quoted $10k for a (maybe) $1k job. Then brought it to $8k for a "friends and family discount" and offered 0% financing (another scam in and of itself) and I offered $6500 cash (HUGE mistake) and sent Kevin away with a check prior to service. Job was to remove small section of laminate and a large area of linoleum. Two guys came in , tore away the laminate flooring and brought in some intimidating looking drying equipment. They were there for less than an hour before one of them came upstairs and told me they couldn't take out the linoleum bc "oh no! Asbestos possible!" ~ at that point I said NO do not take up the linoleum!! I then talked to owner to tell him job significantly changed so $6500 should come down. He blew me off and I put a stop payment on the check. Then he got back to me and told me he'd take off $500!!! UNBELIEVABLE- for the largest part of the job. There was NO water to clean and the only work they did was take up the laminate and bring in big fans and humidifiers. ..... I argued down to $5k cash and told him to get his equipment OUT. In retrospect I should have given them no more than $1k!! Oh boy this was """friends and family""" taking advantage of my anxiety and good nature. I'm so upset with myself and gullibility. Two guys, 4 hours work for $5k I learned lesson the very very hard way. Never ever again.

After dealing with kitchen damage, I realized the actual repair part was only half the battle. The…read moreinsurance side of everything was honestly more overwhelming than the damage itself. Every phone call felt like I was speaking a different language and I had no idea what was actually covered versus what I was being told. Finding NYTDR completely changed that experience for me. What I appreciated most was that they approached the situation like people who actually understand how stressful it is to have your home disrupted, not just like another construction job. They caught things in the kitchen that I would've never thought to document for the claim and explained the process in a way that actually made sense. There were multiple moments where I probably would've accepted less from insurance if they hadn't stepped in. The kitchen now looks better than it did before the damage happened, but honestly the biggest value was having people who knew how to navigate both the restoration side and the insurance side at the same time. That combination is rare. Most companies either know construction or know claims. NYTDR seemed to understand both equally well, which made the entire process way smoother than I expected.

They took me through every step of the process, and were always available to answer my questions.
