I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of service and their attention to detail. Bob Rose met with me to go over the project and make sure we were all on the same page. There were no surprises. Well, maybe just one - it turns out one of the paint colors I picked out was hideous after it was applied. I've never been good with color charts; this was completely my fault. Bob and the job foreman readily let me pick another color, drove to Morristown and picked up the paint and corrected my error without skipping a beat. All work was done in the time frame and price that was promised. The painters did outstanding work. They're skilled, professional, and extremely hard workers. When they were finished, they cleaned up everything so well you'd never have known they were there. I highly recommend Monk's. They're responsive and provide great quality work at a fair price.

They are my first choice to come back to any time I have work to do - I note they don't do _everything_ I'm looking for (they'll redo my deck but not the walkway leading to it?), but for what they do, I trust them 100%.

After spending seven hours one recent Sunday cutting up cardboard boxes alone, I drew the line. I needed help. Hiring Best Maids was one of the best decisions of my life. Period. First, Jack the owner is true as water on a placid morning's pond. Whatever concern or variable or worry you throw his way in negotiations, they're reduced to brief ripples as he adjusts terms, massages in solutions and then returns to his essence like a mirrored pond returns to its placid clarity after a pebble shatters it briefly: he is as honest, centered and focused as an arrow. When asked about it, his suggestion was to just get an additional space heater. When something was installed improperly, he has just gone to the cold shoulder. Garbage can drawer won't close due to poor installation (as per the cabinet manufacturer) and he won't return a call or a text to fix it. The water in the newly installed shower needed work. He wouldn't return a call or text for that. We had to call the plumbers ourselves. This score is a result of the professional people he subs work out to. His work ends up looking amazing, but he's unwilling to stand by it.

He did not clean off his boots and brought dirt into the house and is on the runner of my stairs. He did not really care when I mentioned this either. He did not have a ladder ready to bring inside because it was wet and on top of his vehicles so I had to get the ladder for him that I had. He left the floor dirty with insulation that came from the attic and didn't even offer to clean it up....didn't even acknowledge it. He left without saying goodbye...this whole visit was strange and I sent a note to complain. Laurie was very considerate and timely, but I don't think the same for the rest of the company. Her manager Matt does not care for follow up in customer complaints.
