The air ducts in our house were overdue for a cleaning, so I called some companies for quotes. DRX wasn't the highest or the lowest price, but I got a good feeling talking to Michael who explained the process in detail. Erick and Josh showed up on-time as scheduled and did a great job. They were quick and courteous. We asked them to do the dryer vent since they were here, and it's a good thing we did because it was PACKED. To the one reviewer's point about lint in the driveway: Some lingering lint blew out close to a week later, but it wasn't a lot and didn't seem like a big deal to me. I called DRX to clean the chimney of my wood burning fireplace. I spoke with the the company and told them it was a single flue wood burning fireplace that was last cleaned a few years ago (2-3 years). They told me they could clean the chimney and we scheduled a session. The technicians called and arrived on time. They put down drop cloths and set up for the cleaning. All done very professionally. They started to do the cleaning which consisted of a large vacuum unit and compressed air. There were no brushes or other usual chimney cleaning equipment. The entire cleaning was done within the house. No one cleaned the chimney from the top. When I went to look at the cleaning I noticed there was still some evidence of creosote in the firebox. This is the reason I called them to do the chimney cleaning in the first place. I was told by the technician that they only do a Level 1 cleaning which is removing loose dirt and dust. (He showed me pictures of the work that was done and this level of dirt was removed). When I told him I was concerned about the creosote he said this was level 2 or 3 cleaning and they don't do this level of cleaning. I would need to find someone else to do this and they didn't have anyone to recommend. The technician said they can't tell the level of cleaning until they come out and most chimneys only need level 1. I said that when I book the appointment no one ever mentioned level of cleaning. I understood that the level of cleaning can't be assessed on a phone call. But, if this was known I might have made other arrangements. The owner did follow up with me later in the day to discuss the feedback I provided the technicians. I explained my concerns and he was gracious in understanding my perspective. Although there was the misunderstanding in the level of cleaning, the process was handled in a professional manner. read more

Our home had never had this service done before and after fourteen years of having remodeling done, two dogs, and allergies, it was about time. I noticed their truck at a neighbor's home and I decided to look them up on Yelp. Excellent reviews. Why wouldn't I give them a try. DRX was the only service I called. I originally contacted them through their website to get a quote. They responded within 12-24 hours after providing them with a description of our home, i.e. style, square footage, size, etc. We decided to have our dryer vents cleaned as well. After they provided a very reasonable price for both, they gave us a date about 10 days out. We had to reschedule that date because of an issue on our end and there was no drama on their end to reschedule. They promised us a time slot between 1-3 p.m. and actually arrived an hour earlier than scheduled. They called ahead on that day to give us notice. We even received a confirmation call from their office a few days earlier. The two gentlemen from DRX who arrived that afternoon were pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable of what they were going to do. They explained everything they were going to do, how long it would take, and how they would clean up. We left them alone and they did their job. They even made sure everything worked before they left our house. We paid via check. Communication with DRX was excellent throughout the experience. Two man team came about 40 minutes earlier which I didn't mind because I was already home, and they were friendly, polite and patient with my question. did a great job swiftly with minimal distruprion as I work from home. they did the HVAC vent cleaning and sanitizing and the dryer Vent cleaning as required by my HOA. We had and appointment with another company (Deep Impact) to have our ducts cleaned, sanitized/deodorized at first but that is another (messed up story). Ending up cancelling with that company and then chose Drx Duct based upon reviews and from scheduling to work completion they live up to the 5 stars they've got. Josh was great. He called to give a heads up that he was on his way, arrived on time, and took the time to explain the procedure. While working he was very careful to keep the work area clean and was both professional & courteous. Josh even took before and after pictures of the ducts to show the difference in their condition after treatment (they look great). Horrible service. Didn't clean up my driveway and left lint everywhere. Asked them to come back and they only cleaned up some of it. Asked them to come back again and they were rude, blew lint into my neighbor's yard, and even made me pick up big pieces of lint myself after telling me "that's not lint" when it clearly was. read more

Never had this service done and didn't know what to expect. Jim and Joe came today and crushed it. They explained everything to me in detail and gave me tips and advice for the future on how to clean the dryer vent and save money, and did a spectacular job cleaning the air ducts, chimney, furnace, and dryer vent. They showed me pictures of before and after and all that Jazz. They were clean and very professional and extremely informed and knowledgeable. I've been using these guys for over 10 years and they always do the work right, but most importantly they are honest and more than trustworthy!!! Due to a misunderstanding, I scheduled a Chimney check, and when Jim arrived he noticed there was no fireplace and therefore in our community a Chimney inspection was not required. Not only did he informed me about this, but he also declined to charge me or take any "tips" for my mistake. I am always looking for better deals, but I value reputation and honesty the most. Help! We bought a house that someone smoked "lightly" in, confined mainly in one room, but you can smell it throughout. After lots of googling, duct cleaning was highly recommended since the nicotine and other smelly chemicals of smoke deposit onto the dust in the ducts. This just blows the smell around the house. I researched a lot of duct cleaning crews and found lots of scammers. I spoke to George and soon into the conversation, I knew DRZ Duct was for me. Right up front he said the cleaning will help, but i may additional cleaning in the house in general. Their pricing is honest and they are not going to cheat you out of money. I explained my situation, and he offered fan cleaning if it was necessary. His crew arrived on time and went right to work. They showed me before and after photos of some of the worst ducts. Dog hair, yellow colored dust from smoking, and chewing gum! Yikes! They spent 4 hours cleaning a two zone system and took care of the home in need. The next day I could smell the difference! I called these guys in after another company didn't fix my issue. The two techs went above and beyond to clear our clogged dryer vent. They didn't stop until all the line was out and they got out the big went ball of lint that was causing the problem. They also squeezed me in on a Saturday on Labor Day weekend. I was apprehensive about hiring duct cleaners after all the scams in this type of service. I initially had Sears come in to give me an estimate thinking they are a national company. Definately stay away from Sears. They try to upsell you till they can't squeeze another dime out of you. They try to scare you into buying things you really dont need. Needless to say, they were kicked out. So I did some research on the internet through NADCA and found DRx Duct. I called them up and George(owner I believe) was extremely helpful in answering all my questions and concerns. He gave me a reasonable price. Keep in mind, they might be slightly higher than some others, however I rather pay $25/$50 more to a family owned business who take pride in their work and don't come in the door and then try to upsell you/add on extra fees. A difference in price between others should not be a factor because they let you know how much it is going to cost when you make the appointment and that is what you pay. Peace of mind and quality of work is worth the extra $25. The gentlemen that came to do the job were extremely professional and courteous. They placed drop cloth all over the house to ensure my carpets and floors were protected. They inspected the system and told me I didn't need to do the additional cleaning above the normal that I had requested them to do (and had to pay extra for). They told me it was unnecessary to pay the additional $$ because it wasn't going to be any cleaner than they already were. Perfect opportunity to take my money that I was ready to pay but honesty and integrity is how they operate from owner to workers. Do the right thing for the customer and the customer will do the right thing for them (i.e. - word of mouth recommendation). So i would highly recommend these guys to give you an honest price and to do the job right. They do get booked in advance so make sure you call ahead of time to schedule an appointment. read more

I had them come over to do a cleaning and the did a thorough inspection of the place and showed me that the dust accumulation was not so much and that i could wait another year or couple. Mit and Eric were the technicians who serviced the system. Mostly interacted with Mit who was friendly and did a great job explaining how the system worked. The vacuum was mounted in the truck and was super powerful. They blocked the air from going to the supply vents by covering the filter with plastic and plugged the hose on the other side to suck out the dirt using negative pressure. Supply vents were cleaned individually. Mit took before and after pictures and was patient answering questions. One return vent was accidentally missed, but I realized it after they left.
