Wellduct did our 1940's condo when we first moved in and it was BEYOND GROSS. They got piles and piles of debris and dust out. We have now been in our place 3 years so we called wellduct AGAIN to come out and do our ducts (supposed to be every 2ish) since we got all new hvac/furnace and now i feel like we are complete. WARNING: DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! On Saturday, March 7th, two workers from WellDuct company came to do an air duct cleaning at our house. Prior to them starting the job, we warned both of the workers our attic was not finished and therefore to be very careful and ONLY walk where you see the wood (2x4s). After the warning, one of the workers still managed to put his foot down through the ceiling where there was no wood and put a HUGE hole into our ceiling. Luckily no one was hurt and the company agreed to pay for the damage since it was their fault. After numerous times of reaching out to them via text and phone calls, WellDuct had us work around THEIR schedule so that they can come to our house to take pictures of the damage and have 2 different contractors come and take a look for them to get a quote. Remind you the owner of the company, Paul, didn't even know who these contractors were. He said he googled and reached out to about 10 random people online and sent 2 of them to our house to get quotes. We didn't feel comfortable to have someone random be in our home and to do the job let alone not know if they were even professional. At that point we had mentioned to Paul that we had our contractor that was willing to fix it but Paul thought our contractors estimate was too expensive and therefore he wanted to find someone cheaper. Paul then hired a HANDYMAN a week later that he found online whom he didn't know. Remind everyone we had this huge hole that they temporarily fixed with just duct tape for a week before they came to fix it. Fortunately, we don't have kids to worry about walking under the damaged ceiling and risking them getting hurt. See pictures attached. This entire situation was an inconvenience as we had to take off from work and be home 3 different occasions in the same week so that Paul can bring over multiple contractors for him to get quotes on. Also, we just recently moved into this house and had renovations done so to have them damage what was just painted within the last month was very frustrating. Not to forget at a time like this with the Coronavirus outbreak, we had to risk our health to have WellDuct and multiple contractors come over to fix the damage that WellDuct caused. We not only put our lives at risk to have random people over our house but this was a HUGE inconvenience on our end. When the hole in the ceiling was remedied and it came time to paying WellDuct for their air duct cleaning services, Paul did not want to budge on the fee he charged us. He said this was an inconvenience for HIS company to find contractors and have them come out and fix this. Remind you, it was HIS COMPANY'S FAULT so that is NOT our problem but his. His reasoning was they fixed what they damaged however their was NO consideration of our time wasted and inconvenience he caused us to take off from work and to let strangers over 3 times in the same week during this Coronavirus outbreak. The fix wasn't even done perfect and you can still see the outlining of the sheet rock and the difference in paint colors. Since we did not come to terms of agreement in pricing, Paul felt the need to call the police. All we were looking for was a negotiation in price for the inconvenience WellDuct has caused us and because we will still need to have someone come out and refinish the work of a handyman that Paul hired to do. We will now have to pay out of OUR pocket to refix the damage. To avoid further conflict, we paid Paul the FULL amount of the air duct services but want to warn everyone DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. They are a scam and only want your money! They will hire any incompetent workers and are very unprofessional and irresponsible and we would never work with them again! read more

Got three quotes from Yelp's new service. This business offered the best price with a quick reply from the business owner. Two technicians came to the house to clean our very congested dryer vent. They also recommended a bird guard because of evidence of bird entering the duct. Last, my mother-in-law insisted on a full house cleaning of all of our ducts while the guys were here. To my surprise they offered to do it that same visit. We were very happy with both services and so far I have heard no birds back in the duct. read more

Just bought a new house and we hired WellDuct to clean the ducts. I had used them in my previous house and was happy with their work. As I suspected the ducts were filthy. I just couldn't believe all of the debris in them. It was nasty! (See photos) WellDuct did an amazing and thorough job cleaning them. I had my annual Furnace/Air Conditioning maintenance visit by my HVAC company (residential). They advised I needed a vent cleaning and motor blower cleaned as it had a good amount of dust around it. They quoted a price to come back out but I figured I would want someone who specializes in this to do the work so I searched on Yelp and found WellDuct. I connected with Paul online and Victoria called to make the appointment and then to follow up to advise of appointment. The team arrived within the timeframe quoted and got to work immediately. They were thoughtful---asking if I had any pets to watch out for as they went in and out.They let me know some things they would be doing and the whole process took about 2 hours for my townhouse. Took the furnace apart and did a thorough cleaning (it was pretty loaded with dust!) They showed me the amount of dust captured in the filter/container. Took off each vent and cleaned them as well and put them back correctly. I was super happy with the experience and would recommend. Before writing this review I had written back to the Owner to give him an opportunity but no favorable responses & more importantly the response doesn't make sense at all. Not sure how they got such high ratings and am amazed. To give a background I did 3 times Duct cleaning & Dryer Vent cleaning before using WellDuct. 1. First I see there was a portable machine used for duct cleaning. I had performed duct cleaning several times at my other home & I saw every single company does with a big machine in their truck. I doubt the suction power of such a small machine for a considerable size of my house. Moreover the amount of dust collected (as shown to me) was bare considering the duct was never cleaned (According to the last owner). To let you know just by doing a floor vacuum in a week produces 10 times more dust. Also it was never told to me initially that they use a portable machine which is non standard. 2. Dryer vent cleaning was only performed from inside in 4 mins. When I had asked Tech that will he not do from outside, he said that the extension what he carries does not require him to clean from outside. Again another non standard according to my experience with all other companies. 3. The main technician was very rude in his responses. Probably I will not get cleaned through him if somebody offers me even a free cleaning. Out & out I am very unhappy & felt cheated. This is a late review but these guys did a great job. I selected them from seeing other good reviews and they did a professional clean and neat cleaning of my ducts. the process was a first for me so i learned that they needed to get access into the ducts too by entering it in the basement thru new holes to not only vacuum it out but to snake something through it to help loosen up any debris. don't worry all holes were burned up and sealed neatly. will recommend. thanks wellduct. read more

My husband assured me they were helpful, fast and friendly, and that they wore plastic covers on their shoes. Although I'm not certain how much chimney cleaning is (I've never had a fireplace before), it seemed on par with other companies. Paul was on time. He was courteous, polite, and knowledgeable. He arrived in a Wellduct truck and dressed in a company attire (which is important to me). He also made it a point to only access the home through the back door, in order to not track debris through my home. I had the dryer vent cleaned, and a stainless steel chimney cap installed. Prices were not dirt cheap, but I think that they were fair, and within fair market range. Would highly recommend. Edit to my review: Had to bump down to 4 stars, for 2 reasons.... #1. Garbage was left in my basement (parts that were removed and replaced) #2. Paul requested access to my crawl space, for the dryer vent cleaning. I used Wellduct because of the amazing reviews on yelp and sure enough... 5 stars! Paul came to my place on time and started it right away. He began cleaning by taking the whole HVAC blower out and cleaned each blade thoroughly. Then he cleaned One Main Line and one returned line. He also cleaned 6 of my supply vents (they weren't that dirty). I had the chance to see before and after, it was amazing to see how much dust was collected from years of not cleaning. Even though it was a bit pricier than other companies, but I think Paul is definitely worth it. He also took the time to clean the dryer vent, but I guess my dryer is pretty good at doing its job, there weren't much lint in that vent. Would use him again. read more

Paul was very courteous, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He was patient and was happy to answer all my questions. All the work he did was excellent quality--he even showed us the dust and debris vacuumed from our vents--and he left all his work areas really clean. I hired well duct to clean the whole system in my condo. I'm giving one star based on the whole experience. First of all the workers came in and didn't greet me or even explain the process or that the vent will require them to cut holes on the ducts. I've read other reviews of companies that actually inspect the ducts to see if the cleaning is even necessary. I didn't know anything about the process because it's the first time I have ever dealt with this and don't know the cleaning process. I now have patched up ducts (as he said before he left).They left multiple vent covers not secured as they were. They're crooked and not flat against the wall. One was even stripped from the drywall. I will attach pics. Now what really upset me.... the fact that I have a toddler in the house so I have all my electrical outlets plugged to baby proof. They had to remove the plugs to use the outlets, but forgot to replace the plugs. So that was a hazard to my child. They need to be more careful and cautious with their work. It would've been nice to have them explain the process before even cutting into the ducts. And I would've appreciated it if they would've replaced things things they removed to how they were. read more

Paul was a pro from start to finish, and reasonably priced with the $100 for $250 deal they were running. He did the internal house ducts and as much of the HVAC blower system he could get to, with top notch equipment. He walked me through each step of the process, and even threw in a sanitization rinse for free. He cleaned about 3 pounds of lint out of our dryer vent pipe, even with a funny configuration. I was very disappointed with Well Duct. After they finished, our thermostat would not function, and Paul came a few times to look at it- Wanted to charge another $300 to fix it. We got a second opinion and our usual HVAc guy told us that it was broken by the technicians from Well Duct. Also, he fixed it for $100! Dealing with PAul was extremely unpleasant. Make sure that before you hire someone you read negative reviews too-- If nothing goes wrong they're probably fine, but if something does, it's on you to fix it! I created a yelp account just so I could rate this guy. He did a really great job. I've used his service on two separate occasions. Once for chimney cleaning and once for air vent cleaning. We had a lot of allergy problems in our home before, and I guessed that it might be from having dirty air vents. I was right, because after he cleaned our entire air duct system (and the blower in the basement), our family has been allergy free at home. It's been a dramatic improvement. Also, it's important to note... I called a few other places before choosing WellDuct. I found that you might be able to find some companies that perform this service for a little bit cheaper, but they don't use as strong equipment. Paul's equipment uses HEPA filtration so no dust or mold escapes into your home while he's cleaning. Also, we have a large dog that can be a little intimidating, but he and Paul got along great. We had our air vent cleaned by this company. I am no expert in this, but just feel that the job seems to be done properly in a standard way. By our request, the technicians also fixed the 2nd outlet by taping it up and tape some of the connections in the roof duct. We have no issues regarding the service provided. At the end for the bill, I asked if the Yelp deal 100 for 150 voucher can be purchased and used. He said no, we do not take that. I then mentioned that you have this deal listed on your yelp page, why you cannot take it? He thinks for several seconds, then said if I try to use deal, the price would have to be full price to start with. I asked how much is the full price, he said it would be 5$ more. I said then I will want to use the deal or take a 50$ discount off the full price. He thinks about another several seconds, then asked me if I mentioned this when making the appointment. I said no, since it is a voucher and there is no restriction on the term saying you have to mention it when making the appointment. He said if you did not mention it first when making the appointment, I do not take it or honor your the 50$ off discount. I asked if I can settle the bill later with the company to ask for the voucher usage. He said no, the bill must be paid on site with either cash, or 6% more with check or credit card. For 3 times, he emphasized that he is only a technician so that he does not take the deal stuff but he must collect the bill immediately. So I end up paying with the cash with no deal or discount honored. For the future customer, Yelp has explicitly mentioned that the deal must be honored by the business and should not have such restrictions. If you encounter the same situation, you can always contact yelp. In the general term section 2-D, it is listed that "Please contact us at shop@yelp.com to request a refund of the difference between the amount paid and any value you already received if Merchant refuses to honor your redemption for the full value required under applicable law." Above are the rational facts with no emotional feelings. In term of feeling of the service, I generally felt unpleasant working with them. Consistent with some of the other reviews here, I also felt the rudeness and confrontation. They easily give you the feeling that they hate to go to your place but they have to just because you order the service. Not very happy with the service. They weren't very friendly and stand offish . When they arrive and looked at chimney they said wow it's dirty, and I left them to work. They said they were done in 10 minutes. And I realized they didn't do anything because my chimney wasn't dirty. I have them on camera it seems they turned on machine for a 5 minutes then left. I just purchased and moved into a home that's about 25 years old with no signs of maintenance on the HVAC. I suffer from allergies year-round and wanted to make sure that the ducts in the home were clean so I called Wellduct for servicing and sanitation. This was my first time getting this kind of service and although I had some idea of how much this should cost me, we priced out the job after he got there. The price was higher than I anticipated but with good reason. The HVAC had not been touched or cleaned in 25 years and the ducts as well as the blower motor had to be serviced THOROUGHLY. Additionally, the dryer vent had to be cleaned since we found a bird had made a nest at the exhaust vent from the home. The entire process took over 5 hours! The technician was very pleasant and knowledgeable, diligently working throughout the entire process. I did not ever catch him slacking off or cutting corners. He has able to tell me about every little step he was taking and showed me the ducts before/after the cleaning - man what a difference! And to top it all off, I had few concerns about loose joints and my dryer exhaust tube not being installed correctly and he took a look and fixed it all up at no additional charge. My HVAC runs for about 2/3 the time it used to run to heat the home up and the technician found that the chimney flue had a loose joint in the attic, possibly saving my life and a house fire if I were to have used it before it was fixed. Additionally, the dryer exhaust was taped using duct tape (which should NOT be used for HVAC applications!) and was wearing away and letting the dryer exhaust straight onto the wall behind it! All of this was taped up, sealed, and inspected for no additional charge. I will definitely be recommending these guys to any homeowners who "need a guy" and will be using them for my HOA's mandatory chimney and dryer vent cleaning. Not only were they more reasonably priced than other vendors in the area, but they are courteous and knowledgeable which matters most when having a professional come into your home to maintain/repair it. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I called the place to explain to set up a fireplace and chimney cleaning. I told the lady on the phone that I wanted the fireplace scrubbed. I was told it was no problem and it cost $195. This is significantly more than the usual $90 estimate, but I figured since the place was deep cleaning the fireplace and chimney it was worth it. I was told the entire process takes 30 minutes. They guys showed up two hours early which was not convenient. They were in the house 5 minutes. One guy held a vacuum and the other guy put one brush up the chimney. Then they asked "cash or check." This was the entire extent of the $200 cleaning. I could have vacuumed the place myself and the one brush up the chimney was not worth $200. NEVER AGAIN. RIP OFF. read more
