Ok, here goes... Robert is the best! I have 3 separate dryers and have them cleaned out every fall season. I called the company I've been using for years to find they are out of business. Checking Yelp, I liked the reviews I've read and called Robert. I was impressed that he answered the phone and not yet another recording that someone will get back to me. I would NEVER leave my information on a recording because they usually don't get back to you asap, but find they really don't care about your business and speaking to prospective clients. So folks, if more of us start hanging up when a recording answers, maybe companies would start paying more attention to their first point of contact. A recording to me is the first sign of trouble. Robert answered the phone and was very helpful. I have a very keen sense of who I can trust just by talking to someone, and he gained my confidence from the onset, and felt he is knowledgeable about what he's doing. I scheduled an appointment for him to come by 2 days later and he showed up at the time we agreed and began to work. In the course of his cleaning the ducts to the dryers, he came across a few small problems (that could have become fire hazards) and took care of them without additional costs. I am sure those problems were there when my last service guys came, but they simply overlooked them. This to me shows Robert truly cares about his work, his clients, his repeat business and referrals. He promptly cleaned the dryer vent ducts and replaced the vent hoses in two attics. His attention to detail and honest approach won him over a new multi-condo annual account in Lyndhurst, NJ. Robert was keen to deliver on his promise and even went so far to flip the prior bird-cage vent installs on the exterior walls, in order to correct their mistakes. The amateurs who affixed the bird cage vents (upside-down) to the brick surface did such a bad job. That made Robert's work ethic shine. I had couple of quotes where they said, the bird nest will be cleaned, use of a plastic or metal flap and an enclosure to close the vent. But Vesta Cleaning showed up and did not have a lengthy ladder, no flap, yet, they got a ladder in the vicinity, put an enclosure, got paid $250 and left. I saw no flap, no cleaning so far. Requested this in my messages, but they did not clean or place a flap. When I requested, they said they will come next week, it's now more than a week and still no sign of them. I would not give this merchant any star if I could. Robert of Vesta Cleaning canceled my first appointment on 11/8/2016 because his technician was sick. My second appointment for 11/17/2016 was confirmed the night before with the company agreeing to come between 1 and 3pm. Comes 3:55pm the day of the appointment, no call, no show. I called Robert only to be told that they are not coming because "Groupon did not pay them", and that I would need to address the matter with Groupon. When I spoke to Groupon, the representative stated that "this is probably because the merchant refuses to honor the pre-paid services". I lost 1.5 days worth of work thanks to this nonsense. I advised Groupon to stop working with this merchant as they will only aggravate more customers and hurt themselves. Vesta Cleaning, work it out with Groupon, don't play ping pong with your paying customers! If you can't deliver what you promise, you should not be running a business! read more

I selected Vesta based on two things. First, the number of great reviews. Second, their use of the Ramair cleaning system, which uses compressed air whips to draw dirt and dust out of ducts toward the register, instead of rotary brushes and a vacuum source at the furnace. Vesta's website includes a number of the manufacturer's promotional videos about the system, which talk in detail about how thorough a job it does, how it is much safer for flexible air ducts than rotary brushes, and how it disperses less dirt and dust into the air than a traditional duct cleaning system. The videos also tout the fact that the Ramair system cleans forward - rather than using a vacuum source connected at the furnace end of the system, which will inherently suck dirt and dust back toward the furnace, the system runs with the fan on and the combination of the system fan and a large cyclonic vacuum move dirt and dust forward toward the registers, where it gets vacuumed out through a see-through box that enables you to witness first-hand how much junk comes out of your ducts. Maybe that's all marketing hype, but it's what we wanted and thought we were paying a premium for. I have severe dust, mold, and mildew allergies and my wife has a severe dog dander allergy, so getting the air ducts (which had not been cleaned since the house was built in 1992) as clean as possible, with as little dust introduced into the air as possible, was extremely important to us. My willingness to pay $1,840 to have the air ducts cleaned (more than any other provider quoted, by about 35%) before we move in was based almost entirely on the use of this type of system. ...and that's where the problem comes in. I received a message from Vesta on Tuesday to confirm my appointment on Wednesday - except I didn't have an appointment on Wednesday, because we weren't even going to have possession of our new house yet. I had an appointment on Friday, and had been told that two technicians would be there to do the work because our house is large and has two forced air systems.. I explained this, and was told a few minutes later that "a technician" would be there on Friday. On Friday, one technician showed up - except he was not a Vesta technician and he did not have a Ramair duct cleaning system. He had rotary brushes and a portable vacuum source that sits at the furnace and draws dirt and dust backwards, as well as a Shop-Vac type vacuum at the registers. That is the type of service we thought we were paying a substantial premium not to get. If we were going to use that type of duct cleaning, I would have used a service with a much larger, truck-mounted vacuum source. However, I was not at the new house yet when the technician arrived, so my wife let him get started as neither of us realized he was a subcontractor with different equipment. Had we been told in advance that a subcontractor was coming, I would have verified whether he used the same equipment we thought we were signing up for. He was mostly done with the second-floor system before I got there, so we let him go ahead and finish the job and paid him. The provider who showed up worked extremely hard and was professional, thorough, and meticulous. He worked for seven or eight hours, nonstop. If I were reviewing his service (which I will do separately), he would get five stars. The problem is, I didn't sign up for his service and I was never told my duct cleaning would be farmed out to a subcontractor using a totally different type of equipment than Vesta advertises. Instead of sending a sub, Vesta should have simply owned up to its scheduling error and rescheduled either my service or whomever else's they double-booked. N.B. The only reason this review is two stars instead of one is that the subcontractor who ended up doing the work was extremely thorough and professional. He did good work - it just wasn't the service I thought I was getting (and that's not his fault). read more

I contacted Vesta Cleaning after learning that dryer vent cleaning in my condo is my responsibility, and that my vent hadn't been cleaned in at least ten years. Robert returned my call within twenty minutes, and was able to schedule for the next afternoon. Robert took his time, explained the entire process to my husband, and was able to point out where the negligence had caused damage to the vent hose. Our vent was clogged at both ends, and retaining moisture (which was freezing in the cold weather). It was a fire hazard, as well as a hazard to our machine. Our dryer stopped working due to the air exhaust being clogged up. I requested a quote Monday night and Robert responded very quickly. He was able to come the next day at 1pm! He called about an hour before to tell us he was on his way. I had vesta clean my ducts for my entire house after renovating home. The technician spent good 1.5hrs and told me he was done. I went through couple vents to make sure they were clean but wipes off all the construction residue still left on most vents. He says they are suppose to be like that? What kind of vent cleaning is this?!?!? Robert asked me to give him $1000 CASH and I get vents dusty with Sheetrock and plaster residue??? I wrote him and email, no response, nothing! We were also having a drain fly issue that seemed to be coming from a vent and Robert knew exactly what we needed and sent his best guy out. Since the initial cleaning, I have needed Robert's help on a few matters related to the drain flies and a faulty outlet connected to our furnace and he has been right on top of all our needs. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. THEY SHOW UP WITH A SHOP VAC. The did our vents in our new home in October. Last week we had our HVAC system taken care of , they had to change some vents and when the vents came out there was 30+ years of dust and dirt in it. Vesta only cleaned about a foot in. Due to the fact that we had some vents changed and the hot air was circulating better the filter got clogged overnight, the HVAC guys (same company as previous day, different guys, one of them an engineer/supervisor) came back to check the problem , they pulled out the filter and we saw how disgusting it looked. They said we need to get vents cleaned , we said we did, they said there is no way these vents were properly cleaned recently because the vents are disgustingly dirty. I called the company, owner wants to send back someone to clean (blaming Alex - the person who came to clean originally) I said no, not any more, we want a refund, because we don't want to deal with you. My kids breath this air. Now I have to go sped more $ to have our vents properly cleaned. Our condo unit has had problems with the dryer for almost 2 years now. We had had the vents cleaned by Dryer Vent Wizard a number of times and it didn't solve the problem. They blamed the dryer, so we'd have a dryer repair person come out. The dryer repair person would blame the vent, and the process would go on. Well, it turns out the problem was just that Dryer Vent Wizard sucks, and Vesta is the only company you should use to clean your dryer ducts. The next day dryer almost died-my handyman and I emptied an entire garbage can full of lint from the vent!!! It was still FULLY CLOGGED! My center is 7500sq ft and we cater to the seniors, after 3 years I wanted to be sure these areas were clean. It could have been years since they were done, for all I knew as there used to be a different business at the location before us. Every vent was cleaned thoroughly with their special equipment.
