I cannot recommend Servpro gig harbor highly enough! We are building a house, and for multiple reasons beyond our control, our build kept getting pushed out. By the time we finally broke ground and got the framing done, it was October. Unfortunately, the roofers took an entire month to finish putting the roof on, and by that time, the whole house was sopping wet. Add another month for the siders to finish, and even our builder was commenting on how bad the mold smell was. It was growing EVERYWHERE! This was exactly the circumstance we were trying to avoid, as my husband suffers from mold toxin illness. We called Servpro to see what could be done, and they came up with a plan that I am happy to say worked beautifully. They fogged the entire house and crawlspace heavily to eradicate the mold, and put as many dehumidifiers and fans in as our limited electricity would allow. They even came back out to spray a section in our labyrinth of a crawlspace where the fogging couldn't reach. They had some difficult circumstances to navigate, but they always figured out a way to get the job done, and to do it well. We are beyond thankful that they were able to save our house from the mold. They helped us navigate a nightmare situation and afforded us the peace of mind that our new home won't make anyone sick. read more

Normally when I'm referring a client there way it is a very stressful situation, and they have a way of making you feel that everything it's going to be ok. The team at SERVPRO was amazing. After the 2 straight months of heavy rain earlier this year, a basement room in our office had some water puddles. I called the SERVPRO team at 11:52 and they were on site by 12:15, talk about a fast response time! Nicole and Matt were great and completed a thorough analysis of the of the entire building, which uncovered other minor water damage concerns. I appreciated that they gave us a detailed list and explained what they found. They provided us multiple air scrubbers and had the standing water taken care of that day. Less than a week later, their team completed all the necessary drywall removal. Matt and Nicole stopped by multiple times during the process to check in on the office. I did not have a good experience with Servpro at all. I asked for an estimate for repairs to my home caused by water damage when I called. I was initially pleased because the woman on the phone seemed to understand and was able to get me scheduled same day. Unfortunately when the tech came out there was a serious misunderstanding about the situation. They thought I wanted the work done right away although I wanted an estimate only. They clarified this several times with me and I repeatedly confirmed I only wanted an estimate. The tech stepped outside and called his manager several times to discuss this. I had again clarified estimate only before they started breaking open the bottom of my cabinets. I had asked them previously and asked again just before they started hammering if this was necessary for the estimate and was told yes. Later during the visit after the tech called his manager multiple times the manager called me and said they don't do estimates. It was very frustrating because he refused to give me any information related to the visit about how much damage I had or how much would need to be done. He would only give information to the insurance and only if they did the work. He did not seem to understand that I needed to confirm the insurance would agree to cover the work first. Later he was dishonest when my father spoke to him, saying they never agreed to do an estimate despite the multiple times I clarified that with the tech while he was here. I am willing to give them a 4-star review only because the owner Matthew took the time to speak to my father and to myself several times that day to resolve the situation. I informed him I would not use their service, but he continued to try to resolve our concerns, even though he knew he would not get our business. He agreed to send us an estimate along with pictures that were taken, and he stated he addressed this problem with an office meeting the same day so this kind of thing won't happen to other people. In speaking with Matthew I found out they don't actually do any of the repairs, they only do the drying out, cleaning out, and tearing out services. I wish that had been made clear to me when I initially called and asked for repairs. Overall they may be a good company and hopefully they will improve after this experience, but I don't feel comfortable using them personally. The techs were polite and professional, my only complaint is with the serious misunderstanding and the dishonesty of the manager. read more

When one has a flood situation, one doesn't have the time to do proper research. I called Servpro because that was the name I thought of first. They assured me they worked with my insurance company and would be out the next morning. Each person I talked to during the first couple of weeks gave me different and inconsistent information about what they would be doing next. Yes, ultimately they got stuff dried out, most was salvaged, and the rest was hauled away, but I had to keep calling and stay on top of it. Their office staff seemed to not be able to look up my name and project until being passed through a few people, who'd reassure me and tell me the project manager would call, and he would. From start to finish, this project took about 4 weeks and I think it would have dragged on had I not been persistent. It's difficult to pin down my dissatisfaction, so I wasn't going to bother with a review. Then I saw the bill they sent to my insurance company - at least double what would be reasonable. I have no idea how they can justify the amount. Seems like they charged about $20000 and $4000 just to bring stuff from their warehouse back to my garage. Their office seems disorganized at best, and their communications were "constantly inconsistent" - almost like they were all new employees learning as they went. I found that "working with my insurance company" actually turned out to mean they charged them as much as they could and now expect/demand payment. I will not use them again. read more

We had a water leak happen in our kitchen at the end of last summer. We had to have mold mitigation taken care of. Our first call was to Servpro and we are so happy about that. They sent their crew out and they got to work. It ended up being a bigger job than they originally thought and they made this stressful experience so smooth and easy. Their crew was always respectful and on time. Our biggest rave would be about how clean it was. They ensured to clean up after themselves and to keep the dust down to a minimum. This company was recommend by our insurance company. They came out on 11/14/16 to fix a big leak in the bathroom. They promised everything and delivered a big mess with the project still not finished. They stated they were highly trained but their person best we had walked off the project for being both slow and major damaged he did to the bathroom. They still have not fix the new floor they put a 3 inch gash in or replace the cast iron tub they put a nick in and incorrectly installed the shower surround that now needs to be redone for the third time. Would only recommend they be reported to Better Business Bureau, The Washington Attorney General or the Washington insurance Commissioner. Run away from this company. I had a dishwasher feed water line compression nut break and water went under the kitchen floor covering. The water removal team did an excellent job of removing flooring, underlayment, and sink cabinet. They were able to save the 1973 laminate top without cracking it by supporting with 2X4 posts. Restoration was done by their in house carpenter, Mike. He was very thorough and did a quality job laying the underlayment and flooring. He rebuilt the sink and dishwasher cabinet without having to remove the plumbing. Unfortunately the restoration job took nearly a month with Mike having to go to other ServPro jobs. Sometimes, the office would call me to say he was going to be at another job. The customer service from this franchise needs major improvement. Nobody ever followed up with a call on "How did we do or what can we improve on?" The project manager needs this tool if he wants repeat business or word of mouth referrals. Currently, I would only recommend the water cleanup only. Restoration was excellent from the carpenter, but lousy from his scheduling people. read more

We had a bad experience with this firm's local office. They came 4-5 hours after we phoned and then bid over $1,100 for a simple cleanup from a plumbing drip in our finished basement. The job was to extract water from the carpet and set up fans and a dehumidifier for a couple of days. And that bid number was after we declined their insistence that we needed to rip off the baseboards and drywall. The guy said something about 'high end' implying that since we live in a nice house we're good for it. After dismissing him, we finally called Rainbow International in Tacoma and they did a great job for less than half, without all the over-the-top up-selling. We will never use this firm and do not recommend them to anyone. read more
