Oksana: you never offered to come back and clean the areas that were missed. I hoped you would, but those words did not pass your lips. Instead, you tried to justify an increased fee, when the work done did not justify payment of the fee you initially quoted. For the fees you charge, the floors and counters should have been clean when the workers left. Floors, carpets and dusting were the items I emphasized when we first spoke and I was clear they were my primary concern. Dusting was done with a feather duster, instead of a damp cloth, so the dust became airborne and settled back onto the floors. The floors were swept, then mopped, creating a film of dusty mud, as the pictures show. I remopped the floors. If I can get them clean, your workers should have been able to as well. I lifted utensil holders and items on counters to wipe the counter underneath. I cleaned the corner counter in the kitchen, where nothing was moved or cleaned. I moved chairs and mopped behind the kitchen table. If the counters were wiped, they would have been clean. If the floors were vacuumed and mopped, they would be clean. Swirling a damp mop over a dusty floor just makes mud. Beds weren't made. The refrigerator and windows weren't cleaned because you charge extra for these services, so there was no reason counters and floors weren't clean. read more

Alex and Sofia came today - our first cleaning with them. I've had horrible luck finding a cleaning company after my independent housekeeper of 22 years retired. I've tried at least six different agencies (with one cleaner stealing my hidden diamond earrings and my separately hidden medications) and paid up to twice what Alex's Cleaning charged; I was hopeful yet skeptical that Alex's Cleaning would be better. My skepticism couldn't have been more misplaced. For all the places that other agencies left dust and dirt, Alex and Sofia found and cleaned everything everyone else missed. I am 69 years old and I know what a clean house should look and feel like. For over 30 years, I cleaned my own house and was maniacal about it. That's why I quit cleaning my house; I didn't like being such a fanatic -- it took way too much of my time. Since this was my first cleaning with Alex's Cleaning, I will update this review as time marches on. I had a poor experience with Alex's cleaning. We filtered through multiple pairs of partners, took a few months to finally find a pair of girls who did a good job and actually achieved customer satisfaction. When I brought my concerns to the business owner, there was nothing she can do but state 'we try our best but we're not perfect'. I had to pay the price for their errors/mistakes, felt like employees didn't have the same training. They didn't even understand what they do and don't clean. Skip this service, the cleaning job was not finished, there was practically zero scrubbing, mold is still in the shower, trash wasn't even taken out of the bins.If I wanted a half baked cleaning, I would have asked my roommates to do it instead. Why am I paying you? I am not paying you to move things around a table, or leave some weird cleaning film on the floor, no, I am asking you to remove dirt and grime,The bare MINIMUM, take the trash out of the bin, and ffs make sure there is no grime around the tub toilet or sink. I ran the dishwasher before hand, the dishes were clean, they didn't even empty it. Then they had the audacity to quote me 200 for 1100 sqft of room, after before I started, and showed them where to clean, and then confirmed that the 120 that I was quoted on the phone was indeed the accurate price. This is my first time to give a negative review. They charge a flat rate, not by hour. I've asked the owner twice that how long would the cleaning take, and she told me it depends on how dirty the house is. However, the girls only did 2.5 hours. I believe they will stay longer if they charge by hour. My house is not that dirty but we just finished remodeling. 2.5 hours for one time deep cleaning, seriously? When they were going to leave I checked the house and found a lot of areas with dust. Especially for the laundry room, I think they didn't clean it at all. So I asked them to redo the dirty areas. However, they looked rush to go, and only cleaned where I pointed at no matter what I said. For example when I said clean the outside of the cabinets, they cleaned the one I pointed then looked at me. And when I asked them to clean the surface of the washer and dryer, they only wiped the dryer because it was where I pointed. One thing I can not believe is after they cleaned one toilet, they used the same wipe to clean a switch, in front me. Will they do the same thing in their own home??? Anyway very disappointed. I thought a professional cleaning could make me relax, now I have to re-clean the whole house by myself because I don't know if there is other place cleaned by "toilet wipe". Besides, I found more uncleaned areas like floors, glass doors of shower room, baseboards and so on. Here I attached a picture of how dirty my countertop was. It was one of the redo areas after they left. Update: I just read the owner's comment to my last review. After I refused the owner's offer to let them reclean and take the one star review from yelp for $100 refund, she stopped to reply my message. Looks like it took them one week to think about how to reply to my review, which is not a bad thing because now everyone can tell they never reflect themselves but only seek excuses. I quoted for one time move-in deep cleaning including windows and dishwasher, and the problem is never about my remodeling. Of course my house was not that dirty because my contractor already cleaned the remodeled areas. Even so the girls can not make it clean. I don't know and don't care how many times they cleaned my countertop, but I watched how they did it when I asked them to reclean. It was perfunctory and I believe my picture speaks. Besides the countertop was just one of the not clean or never cleaned areas. Here are some advices to the Alex's cleaning: Don't be lazy, don't lie, don't try to fool you customers, do the job worthy the money you get paid. And one of the most important things as a cleaning company is don't use the same wipe to clean toilet and other areas!!! This was a YELP-find cleaning service. The first time having my place cleaned...it was OK. They were almost an hour late with no notification. (Personally I think time is valuable) They did a "good" job. My house was clean and smelt good. My husband pointed out places that were missed (shower basin in the master and tub basin on the guest bath) but the rest was nice. Was quoted $180 for a 2001-2500 sq ft house (mine was 2900 but they only cleaned one floor 1950 sq ft) Charged $270...3 bed (master bedroom...one guest room and one vacant room) 2 bath (one master and other guest) Went with this company because they were quick to respond to my yelp estimate....unsure if I will ask for another cleaning. read more

I had their services for weekly cleaning. Very inconsistent sometimes the cleaners they sent would simply not do much, they would be in such a rush that they tore beddings, forgot to clean areas in my home. They give you a price and then they want you to pay more, if you don't pay more then they send the worst cleaners. Then they say if you want the good cleaners that do a thorough job you need to pay more. Don't waste your money hiring them. read more

Was very disappointed. I agree with Emily M. They cleaners were very rushed and missed a lot of obvious spots like toilets. It literally took me 5 min to clean 3 of them spotless after they left. Dusting was very hit and miss too. I intentionally did not wipe down the kitchen counters to see if they would. Nope weren't even touched. The only thing that was done well was the carpet. And of course it was my fault when I questioned the job. My daughter and I re-cleaned for a party 3 days after they left. It took us 3 hours v their 2.5 hours and the house was spotless. We even did the windows, mopped and used restore on the hardwood. If you want a good quality job I would look elsewhere and pay someone by the hour. read more

I reached out cus I needed my home deep cleaned. I have been taking care of my mom after her brain surgery, and wasn't able to keep up with the deep cleaning in my house, especially the bathrooms, hardwoods, and dusting. I got a quote and scheduled Alex's cleaning to come out over the weekend. They came on time and got right to work. I told them what I wanted done and they went above and beyond. I have very hard water and no matter how often I clean my toilets, they get the mineral build up in the bowl. Let me first say, that I used to clean out empty apartments and was trained by experts, so I have extremely high standards. A friend reminded me of that so I went up a star from what I was originally thinking. Alex's cleaning is probably perfect for regular home cleaning. I hired them for a move-out cleaning and was a little disappointed. My place overall, looked great, sparkling and clean. They cleaned the floors, counters, cabinets (inside and out), baseboards, sinks, fixtures, toilets, etc. very well. They attended to details like removing cobwebs and getting tricky spots on the floor clean. I was disappointed by three things: 1. The oven was not as clean as I had expected. I am used to using oven cleaner that leaves it looking like new, and this was not the case. It was cleaned, but still had brown spots. 2. The dishwasher itself had been run in a way that it was shining inside, but the crevices hadn't been cleaned on the inside sides, and they were visible. 3. The shower floor wasn't as clean as I have made it in the past. Honestly, I have used baking soda and made it look new - which was not the case here. It was okay, but not great. Lastly, they had asked if I wanted the windows cleaned and I said, "yes." They only cleaned the inside of the windows on a bottom floor unit. So, if you want the outside done, I would tell them that. Again, I am picky. If you want overall regular cleaning, you will probably be satisfied. read more
