I previously submitted a review detailing a horrible event where I was recommended a new AC for $20,000. After pressure from a friend I got a second opinion and a technician from a different company came and fixed the AC two yours later by replacing the capacitor and adding refrigerant. I reached out to my warranty company American Home Shield for follow up and it was then that I realized they were never consulted by ServLegacy. ServLegacy went around my warranty and tried to sell me a $20,000 HVAC system direct. I removed my previous reviews from google and yelp because I thought the company had integrity and cared about their customers and wanted to resolve the issue. Now I realized they are still in the business of dishonesty and manipulation according to a detailed response from American Home Shield regarding the results of their investigation. Apparently, ServLegacy has lied AGAIN and said I opted for a brand new HVAC system FOR MY TENANTS because I wanted a "quieter, newer system." That is appalling! Why would a single mother who serves in the United States Air Force Reserve volunteer to purchase a $20,000 for renters for the sake of a quieter and newer system? Anyone with common sense can tell that sounds fishy. They are still being dishonest in the fact that after they tested my AC system they determined the compressor failed and I would either have to wait up to 3 months for a REFURBISHED one that may not work or purchase an entirely new system. THAT IS WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. They gave me a false choice to begin with and said there was NOTHING they could do to get the AC working that night. I had to risk a small baby in the home overheating. So I made the only choice I thought I had based on Servlegacy's recommendation and diagnosis on site. I refuse to speak to ServLegacy anymore at this point. I will not remove my Better Business Bureau complaint and I will now proceed with contacting the state and county as soon as I get their license information. By the way, I recorded every phone call and I have witnesses to the work ServLegacy performed and the recommendation they gave. All they had to do was be honest. I did not decide to sign a $20,000 loan for a new HVAC system just because I wanted a new system. read more

DO NOT USE ServLegacy aka Pinedo Air Conditioning and Heating. They gave us FRAUDULENT QUOTES for repairs on our system ranging from $20K to $38K! They stated that it as rat infested and all the ducts and insulation needed to be replaced. JOSE PINEDO and his team preyed upon the fears of a young pregnant mother! In addition, she was told that in order to ensure proper operation and safety for the small children in the home, it would be best to replace the WHOLE SYSTEM, which was top end quote of $38K! Mind you, the system was installed in 2021 and was working fine. We were only seeking maintenance! Jose and his team pushed the sell and made it seem urgent, telling my daughter NOT TO TURN ON THE SYSTEM! Of course, they wanted her to use their financing! Thank God we sought out quotes from other REPUTABLE COMPANIES!! The other companies indicated that we only needed a maintenance and a few minor repairs, our system was fine, no ducts or systems needed to be replaced, no rat feces in the ducts and to call a pest control company to put out a few traps and everything would be fine. Jose Pinedo and team, there's a very special place for predators, especially those that prey on pregnant females with small children. Working under two different business names: Pinedo Air and ServLegacy is the first RED FLAG here: Jose Luis: Your BS explanation from "google" raises even more concerns for me. At no point BEFORE installation did you clearly explain that my ductwork would need to be replaced in order for the unnecessary new system (You upsold me into) to function best or that i would be having these type of problems that i am now having, and experiencing BEFORE you took my existing HVAC system apart. (Which i only had for 9-10 years). If the ductwork was truly incompatible with the system YOU recommended, it was your professional responsibility to advise me of this and to have put this in writing BEFORE proceeding with doing any work. My ducts are less than 12 years old. You know very well my ducts are not 20 years old. Your are unprofessional to lie to customers to get them to agree to get an unnecessary new system, its all money for you then you leave us with a system that is not livable or usable, i cant even use the AC, because its way too strong! So you robbed me for money, left me with a system i cant even use, when my previous system worked perfectly! All you were called for was to diagnose my heater, and why it was not turning on at the end of winter, instead of fixing the heater, you upsell me into an unnecessary whole new system and now you will not come to try to adjust the speed or try to come and resolve the power or control how strong the air flow is? You just ignore me and American Home Shield to resolve this issue! This is how you do business seriously? You don't care about any of your customers? The absolute worst company I ever dealt with. The first time home warranty sent them, they immediately said I need refrigerant and it's 220 per pound @ 11.5 lbs. They gave me a discount added it and left. The next day it didn't work. They came back and said the refrigerant leaked out. I said how could you put refrigerant without a leak check I asked for so they sent someone over and they said there us the biggest hole he ever seen and couldn't be repaired. I complained so twhy sent two guys to try and fix it. After 5 hours, they said they leak was fixed. 3 weeks later, I turn on the air and it blows hot air again. I was completely livid and called back. The tech said sorry case closed, call home warranty again. I paid more money for another service call. The office scheduled service and they no showed again. After 20+ calls with no answer, they finally come out when im not home and said I need refrigerant again without even leak checking as I requesed. He said I'll sell you refrigerant to fix it again. He said no, sorry, you have to start all over and call home warranty. I was beyond mad and called the main office to complain. They listened and and called home warranty to refuse the approved leak check. Home warranty sent another tech out and they found the leak in 5 min and could fix in 15 min. The problem is the other company charged me for 11.5 lbs of refrigerant, not to mention my system only takes 9.5 lbs. I have to go pay everything out of pocket again because Servlegacy/ Pinedo air committed unethical and fraudulent diagnoses and service. If I could give a -5 star, that would be generous. read more
