I really needed assistance with a plumbing matter and I was unable to find anyone in Orangeburg, SC who was "willing" or available to assist me. I called Midland Air on a Friday morning and was told they wouldn't be able to assist me that day, but gave me an appointment for the following Monday morning. I was told my appointment time frame was from 8am - 12pm, but was reassured the technican would be at my residence, more than likely, by 10am. My appointment was confirmed via email and text message and I was emailed the day before to confirm my appointment. I LOVED THAT - VERY PROFESSIONAL. I received a call, text and email when my technican, David "Tyler" Ivey, was on the way to my residence (call came in at 8:08am). I was extemely impressed and felt confident that I had chosen the right company for my need. Tyler arrived around 9:30a - 9:45a to my home (from Lexington to Orangeburg). He was courteous, polite and friendly. He was very professional and knowledable about what needed to be done. He explained everything so I could understand, the price wasn't as bad as I had expected for all that needed to be replaced to fix my leaky kitchen faucet and replace outdated lines with turn off valves. Unfortunately, it couldn't be done on Monday, but Tyler gave his word that he would be back on Tuesday and we worked to schedule a time that was good for me. By the way, Tyler, also found a leak at my main water line that was something I didn't even know about. He advised me what to do, by calling DPU and the problem was resolved without any money from my pockets as it was a DPU problem. Tyler returned very punctual again on Tuesday and the problem has been resolved and the new faucet and lines look great. I will be contacting Tyler in a few weeks to upgrade the lines and faucet in both my bathrooms. The shower will be the next. I made the right call and I am so happy to know that my plumbing needs will now be handled by Mr. David "Tyler" Ivey of Midland Air Service Experts!!! They are indeed Experts!!! read more

We called on Thursday, saying we had been having a popping noise from a cold air return when we turned on the heat. They came out on last Friday, both a technician and a salesperson. Did not even turn on the heat or look inside the cold air return. The technician went into our crawl space, came in and told us the ductwork was the original, that would be 29 years old, and in terrible shape "they're not allowed to say mold, " but you never know." Needed to be replaced. They gave us 3 options, "good, better, best." Convinced us they were giving us a deal, mostly better for the price of good, for around &11,000. We signed the agreement and they were going to come this morning, Monday, to do the work which would take about 2 days. We are 80 and 81. I called my son in CA and he said, " never do that without getting at least 1 other estimate. Call them and cancel." Since there is a 3 day right of recession, I called them and canceled immediately. I told them we had wanted to get more than 1 estimate and we'd let them know if we wanted to follow up with them. This morning, Monday , we had another company come out to give us an estimate on replacing the ductwork. He came back in our house with a lot of pictures from inside our crawl space and of the ductwork. The ductwork looks almost perfect, is not the original, is newer! Midlands lied to us. I now believe they did the same thing to us when we wanted attic heating and air system looked at. The technician came out, showed us pictures he supposedly took and "our salesperson just happens to be 5 minutes away." That cost us about $25,000. When my husband saw the old unit on the porch, on its way out, it did not look bad. Boy, did they have our number. read more

I would like to recommend Midland Heating and Air. The service is just wonderful. I had a window of time alloted for my home visit and both times the technician was there in the appointed time frame. The technician was a very polite, knowledgeable and welcoming person. He introduced himself to me, told me what he was doing during his visit. I needed a new air filter and after he explained everything to me, I agreed on a new air filter. He didn't have the filter I needed and called into the office and had one reserved for me for the next day. The technician came back the next morning and installed the new filter and checked everything out again. Very nice gentleman. Very knowledgeable in his job. Very polite to me and my son. I bought my parents home, the home I grew up in many years ago. I love my little house. My father has had Midland Heating and Air every since he bought the house and when I bought it, I just transferred the service contract over to my name and here we are today. I love their service and everyone is very professional and nice on the phone and in person. Midlands makes me feel like a person, someone they care about. Purchased a Lennox Packaged Heat Pump (Mod #LRP14HP24P-2) 28 Mar 2018. Worked great in summer - no issues. On 29 Nov 18, when freezing temps arrived, immediately noticed heat not maintaining Honeywell thermostat setting (eg. Thermostat set at 68F; however, actual inside temp only 59). Immediately reported issue & a service tech came same afternoon. Tech ran "Diagnostic" but could find nothing wrong. Same problem recurred 13 Dec 18. MR Joe Howard, service tech, came out same afternoon. Took MR Howard every bit of 15 min to ID fault/fix. First, he deleted the program app from Honeywell Thermostat. Now I set temp manually/works perfectly. Second, he found a disconnected wire that was overlooked during both initial installation & 29 Nov 18 service call. All I need to say is this: a tech named Justin came out to do a diagnostic on the air-conditioner that was not working. Justin explained everything to me pointing here and there in the unit. I asked a lot of questions, and he answered them in a way that I could understand. Now, quite frankly, within the last year, I have not had good experiences with air-conditioning technicians, and I won't say what I think about them here... However, today, Justin really renewed my faith. He is a great representative for Midland-hard working, smart, knowledgeable, courteous and honest. I hope Midland knows who they have here as an employee! Final word: Midland Air Service Experts, from my experience, are hiring some great people. If you want people who know what there doing, hard working, fair prices; then you need to call Midland. I will NEVER call anyone else! read more

We've been with Midlands Air for years, every technician has been so professional. We signed up for the customer advantage , worth every dollar. I have learned the hard way about heating and air "experts" but I can unequivocally endorse my service tech that did our maintenance check this weekend. Aaron was so personable while still maintaining his professionalism. He didn't try to "upsell" which is so frustratingly common when you're using a coupon (which I was). We called this company for a second opinion. Richard was the technician we asked for based on our neighbor's recommendation. He stayed an hour and found the problem and corrected it. The company does not charge for estimates. Our AC is working well and we do not need to replace the system. We will eventually as the system is 18 years.
