Will definitely be using Nexgen going forward for all plumbing needs

However, with Jack, I may NOT use them in the future. Instead of unplugging the toilet, Jack charged me $575 to replace a the toilet. A stopped‑up toilet almost never means you need a new toilet. You almost always fix the clog, not replace the fixture. A clog is a drain problem, not a toilet problem. Replacing the toilet won't solve the underlying blockage and is almost never necessary. What usually fixes a stopped‑up toilet: Plunger clearing -- A good flange plunger solves 80-90% of clogs. In short, I called to clear a plumbing issue, which was never cleared, instead Jack requested that we purchase a new toilet. To me good reliable plumber is one that can clear a clogged pipe. Not one who charges $575 for a new Glasierbay toilet from Home Depot.

Dimond Plumbing is a gift and we dear Yelpers the benefactors. Mike came highly recommended from a friend whose recommendations I take as gospel. I knew that his work would be superb, and somehow he far exceeded my expectations. He called and setup an appointment, was astoundingly punctual and listened diligently to my 3 plumbing problems. I went back to work and in about 30 minutes Mike walked me one by one through each of the issues, explaining and educating in laymen's terms what happened and how I could maintain my plumbing more efficiently/effectively. I love that he took the time to make sure I understood what the problem was and the work he did to correct it. The THREE plumbing issues were shockingly affordable (especially considering that the former plumber tried to tell me that I was going to need to replace my entire pipe system). Mike is honest and effective and takes pride in his craft. I will never call another plumber again.

I put out the request on YELP and received some generic responses from the companies "Send photos" or "call us". Ricardo (the Owner) of East Bay Plumbing actually responded (and quickly). We discussed the situation and agreed on a set price. Very reasonable/fair compared with other quotes I received. Ricardo and his two plumbers arrived on schedule. A basement install concerned me, because of potential damage incurred by lowering a big tank down a steep flight of stairs. The three of them were very graceful and lowered the tank down without incident. They were fast and efficient. Job took less than two hours! Ricardo is very honest and personable. He gave us a two year warranty on his crew's install, which looks super Professional. I know they don't have a lot of YELP reviews currently... but trust me when I say they are Reasonable and Honest.
