After a long search for an excellent and trustworthy sewer and water company, I'm so grateful to have found Servco Water and Sewer.  It's been a long and often frustrating three years as I looked for a reliable and honest sewer company. My goal -- find a company that stands behind their work, accurately represents what work is actually needed (and not do unnecessary work), is priced fairly, and provides real-time video during the scoping. Servco was the only one that came through 100% with flying colors.  They were recommended by National Water Company, who insures my sewer and water lines (https://nationalwatercompany.com/). (Highly recommended by my AAA insurance agent and they really came through on this.)  Here's what we got with Servco -- - Their manager, Ben S, provided real-time video showing that only one section of my sewer needed to be replaced, and the rest of it would hold up for many more years (other companies didn't provide videos but told us that failure was imminent and we needed to schedule immediately with them).  - Told us they'd be careful to make sure that my plants would probably not be affected at all by their work (the exact opposite of what another company told me).  - Carefully sliced the concrete walkway as they opened the area for trenching and after the work was done, put it back, reattaching the sections with concrete. The final result was even better than the original walkway.  - Re-anchored my fencepost that was affected by the trenching by pouring concrete footing.  - Hosed down the affected area after they were done. - Completed the work on schedule despite a drenching downpour on the first day. - Communicated clearly every step of the way so we'd know what to expect.  - The workers were polite and did everything they could to have the least impact on us as possible.  - Price difference: There was no comparison between Servco's price and the six other companies I looked into. Servco provided the best price and best service, by far.   The other companies --  - Were 3 to 4 times more expensive, and for far less work. They proposed lining existing line. (Servco trenched and replaced old failing pipe with brand new pipe.) - Provided no supporting video proving their claims that my entire sewer line urgently needed to be lined, and risked collapse if I didn't act quickly. (Servco provided realtime video during the scoping process, and it showed that only 30% of the line needed work.) - Told us to expect to lose several mature plants and trees, including a much loved heritage tree that's almost 100 years old.  - Warned us that their work could dislodge the fencepost that my gate attaches to. And if that happened, I would need to hire a fence company to re-anchor it. (Servco poured a new concrete footing before filling the trench.)  - Planned to replace our concrete walkway with gravel. (Servco put back our original walkway, cementing the squares so they'll be fully stable and secure.) Servco's customer service, communication, quality of work, care of our property, commitment to their schedule, and price puts it far ahead of all their competition. I had been looking for a sewer company to address some issues in my sewer lines and had gotten multiple quotes (5!) from other companies. The responses varied and were rather confusing. They needed to get into the problem area by pulling up some pavers on the side of my driveway and installing a cleanout. We have 1927 house with old old concrete sewer line. I had already called 3 other companies and their bids were all in the same ballpark to replace. When I mentioned to our neighbor that we needed to replace our sewer she said I had to call the guy who just completed her sewer replacement. So I called Ben at Servco. His bid was thousands of dollars less than any of the other 3 bids. Ben was really amazing to deal with, always answered his phone and our work was completed a day early.
