We recently moved into a new home and a few weeks in, I found that maybe our home inspector didn't quite tighten up some of our plumbing after he checked out our house. I contacted Fritz's drain service on Yelp via messenger and they replied promptly. They confirmed it wasn't an emergency and we scheduled an appointment for the following day. On the day of our appointment, Christopher gave me a heads up that he was on his way about a half hour before his arrival which was a nice touch. He was super nice, very polite and professional (I was on a few work calls at the time when he arrived) and he handled the issues with one of our sinks and our garbage disposal quickly and efficiently. BAIT and SWITCH. We just need to connect the bidet pipe to the toilet. We bought all the connections. They came and gave us a quote of 270$ which is on the pricy side but we don't want to waste time. However, at the end, they "identified" a leaky faucet that was totally fine the day before and asked for 250$ more to replace it! What a shame, Yelp shows the rosy aggregated review. Available 24/7? Maybe their answering service is, not the Plumbers. When I called about leaking water heater that required the main to be shut off, I was told that they don't work weekends and that the following Thursday is the soonest they could come take a look. 4-5 days wait for a "no water" call? No thank you. I'm just glad I didn't have a sewage back up. I can appreciate being busy, but in a business that works on emergency calls (versus only doing new construction & installs, for example) they should state that in their ad/web site. read more

I also just discovered Fritz retired. Had been using him for years at the condo I manage. The guy did a great job clearing a clogged kitchen drain on the 5th floor but the cost was at least 30% more! We had a pretty good experience with Fritz's Drain Service. They were prompt in answering our phone call and we got an appointment within two days. Even though they have stellar reviews on Yelp, I didn't think we would get them to come by that quickly. Instead of coming late, they came early to our appointment. It actually caught me off guard because I'm so used to people coming late. The only critique I had was that, if you're going to come early, a phone call would have nice. My husband was on his way home from work so he wasn't there to consult and etc. Instead, it was just me cluelessly directing them where to go for the drainage problem. Juan was the main contractor who was looking at our drainage problem. He was really nice and professional - so was the other guy that was assisting him. He was thorough in answering my questions and it took about less than an hour to bring his machine in to clear the pipe that was backed up. His machine cleared a lot of the branches that was blocking the sewage drain. In total, it costed about $200. They provided fast and efficient service. We now can use our bathrooms!! :) We are so appreciative that everything is fixed. We definitely take for granted the power of drainage! read more

Fritz was really professional with their drain service. Our kitchen pipe was clogged up over th holidays and despite using both househould and industrial snakes to try to unclog the pipes in our wall, we ran out of ideas on what we could do to fix it. The issue was so serious that I considered if I couldn't get it fixed in time, I might have to man up and walk over to my ex-roommate's place to embarrassingly ask to use her washer and dryer for laundry...no jokes! @_@ On the day of the service, Fritz sent Juan over. Juan was professional. He finished some of his job early and called to see if I would happen to be at home earlier than my scheduled appointment so he could come and even fix it earlier. I was more than happy to let him come early so I could get on with my work! :) Juan was friendly and knowledgeable. After telling him that we had tried to snake the pipes ourselves already and where some of the issues were, he got right to work, took just 10-15 minutes to snake the kitchen pipes far into our walls where the clog occurred and *magic* the sink worked again! :D The charge was very reasonable. Juan gave me receipt and told me that the unclogging/drain service is also under 30 day warranty (e.g. I could call again within 30 days if the issue resurface and they could come fix it for free). I was so glad I could leave for work a few hours earlier than I thought I could! :) Highly recommend Fritz for plumbing/drain services! They are knowledgeable, professional and fair with their price! They came out a week ago and said they cleared the drain in my kitchen that was clogged. After that the drain still didn't drain properly and I called them a week later only to be informed they don't warrant drain cleaning. Basically they want to charge me again for work they didn't perform right the first time! Do not use this company. I called Fritz on their recommendation and I am so glad I did! When I first called they were booked out to Monday (problem happened on Thursday). I have a new favorite plumber! Travis and his partner came out on a Friday afternoon to replace my garbage disposal and were just terrific - start to finish. I live in a historically old, quirky building in the heart of downtown Seattle, but they had no trouble finding parking, figuring out the "quirks" to my place and getting the job done quickly, easily and without trouble. I have an older house and have tree roots drilled out of the line every other year to make sure things stay clean. I called Fritz's drain previously and the service perfomed was fine. The cost was about $250 for a straight drill out of one line. This time I called them our and asked for the drains to be cleaned out again. They came out and said there was no issue with the drains and unclogged a toilet for my renters....not why I called them. Mailed me a bill for $120. Now 5 1/2 weeks later, I have water pouring into my basement. When I called, they said they could not come out until almost noon. I expressed my frustration and his response was 'I'll cancel the invoice from the last servies...call someone else.' The other plumber that came out, put a camera down the line and said it was almost complely blocked up....which is what I had expected. That level of growth is not possible over 5 weeks in the middle of winter. Clearly...this vendor has been deleted from my list of providers. Update: Interesting...as soon as my review was written, the owner called me back and told me that he now intends to charge me for the full service that was initially provided. It was leaking, wouldn't drain properly...etc. The guy from a different place installed it incorrectly, and the two guys that came out from Fritzs' fixed it all up. They filled it for me and drained it to show me there were no leaks. wow, I hired another plumber for a kitchen drain. The two guys came and spent the next 2.5 hours trying to snake the drain, only to tell me I needed to replace some pipes and have an electric jet used to clear the pipe. They said a different guy would come in the morning to start the work. I quickly called Fritz, he was able to come right away, and had the drain cleared in ... 15 minutes! I couldn't believe it, he didn't even take the p-trap out! And the best part, the bill was only $122.50. Just amazing. read more

It's all he does and he's the best! I've used him several times over the past 15 years and two different houses. With 3 girls in a home, means hair and who knows what else down the drains and toilets. We're not talking just a bathtub that drains slow, we're talking sewage coming up a drain. He is half the price of any plumbing company. If you do have an issue that turns out to be a major outside of home sewer line break, etc., he doesn't do that type of work, but has great people he can refer you to. During inspection of our house by a buyer a root blockage was discovered. The sewer scope company recommend three companies to do the job. After calling all three for a quote and quickest response, we went with Frtiz's Drain Service. Fritz himself answered the call and was friendly and helpful. His company was the least expensive and we were able to schedule the service call within a couple of days. The day of the call they arrived a few minutes earlier than scheduled and wasted no time getting to the job. Evan was the crew lead and had one assistant. The line was cleared fast and the work was explained to us in detail. The job site was cleaned and they explained the warranty of the service. Very happy with everything about this company. Fritz's was the first company we called when we finally threw the towel in on a clogged side sewer line. We had tried clearing it ourselves without success for two days, called Fritz and got an appointment a couple days later. The two fellas who came out to do the work were patient and repeatedly snaked the drain until they finally got it semi-clear. They didn't know what was down there still, so couldn't guarantee the line would stay clear. They did recommend a video inspection (and suggested another company) to figure out what we were dealing with, which is what we ended up doing. Had a great experience with Fritz's Drain Service. We had a blocked bathtub because we have an old drumtrap pipe. Spoke to Fritz directly and he gave me a very upfront and competitive price to fix the problem ($117 before tax). He sent two guys out to my house within an hour of calling and they fixed the problem immediately. While one of the guys was getting the payment information ready the other took a quick look at a leaky faucet for me and fixed that too as a favor (didn't charge me). There are several business I keep going back to. For example, I've been eating sushi at Maneki in Japantown every week for the past ten years, without a single bad experience. Any business that can maintain consistent quality with consistently solid customer-service earns my loyalty and $$. Fritz's Drain Services is another example. Root cleaning can surely be a stressful affair for any homeowner. It is often coupled with backed up water, inability to use water in your own home and, in my case, a clean-out that is smack in the middle of my semi-finished basement, so it's never without worries that a couple guys need to bring in this behemoth of a machine into my house, navigate it to the clean-out, perform the job and leave no trace :-). Living in an old house (built 1908) with clay-links sewer line and large hedge over the line, I require regular root cleanings. I have been using Fritz's for over five years and keep getting that consistent quality product delivered by some really nice people. Namely, Juan. This guy proved his professional integrity by recommending habits (use Scott's 1000!) that actually reduced the frequency of root cleaning for my home. He cares about the customer first, which earned him my business. On top of that he's always nice, respectful and helpful beyond the scope of the job. Don't get me wrong, I hope to see these guys as infrequently as possible :-), but when I start seeing backup in the basement I am a tad less stressed knowing that Fritz's and Juan are on the job. read more

The 2 upper floor toilets plugged up while the bottom one worked fine, I called Fritz's number and he answered the phone, He said he could do the job 2 days later, he gave me his prices: $112.50+tax for job on inside house line and $192.50+tax on main line service, including removal and installation of the toilet if needed. They scheduled a visit promptly and were able to get our kitchen sink drain snaked through the vent on the roof (never would have occurred to me).
