Well seasoned and longtime Audi Q5 owner and overall Audi enthusiast…read more I took my 2018 Audi Q5 Pretige to this dealership today for an oil change. It was overdue and I am leaving town this evening unexpectedly, so against my past experiences and better judgement, I knew I could get in and out in a couple of hours. I booked my appointment last night online. I booked as a Guest, put in my basic car info and selected the $109.95 oil change service. I received a text message (as I had chosen for communication) confirming my 9am appointment. This morning, I knew I would not be able to make the 9am appointment I scheduled. Because I booked as a Guest, I could not find my previous appt with which to reschedule, so I logged on, and I was unable to book a new appt. The system must have linked my phone number from my Guest appt to my Logged In status. So, I called service. The woman I spoke to had a 1pm spot and I took it. I received a second text message, but it said oil change for my 2010 Audi Q5 Prestige. I figured this was because again, the phone number linked me and I had not provided the VIN or any other details of my 2018 Q5. Not a big deal. It will be obvious I am not in a black 2010 Q5, but a 2018 white Q5. I arrived at 1:15, apolgizing, as I hit a pretty big storm on the way in and my 5 minutes late turned into 15. Jon Bowles was my service agent and super super friendly. He took the keys and even changed out my key fob battery while I checked in and sent me home with an extra battery!!! This is why this review has 1 star. Excellent customer service moment! I was even planning my yelp review and to give him a shout for this...key word, was. I elected to wait. At some point, Jon came over. He told me he didn't want to sticker shock me, but the price of an oil change is greater than what I scheduled. He told me that an oil change for the 2010 Q5 would cost less than that of the 2018 because the 2018 uses sythetic oil, and the 2010 does not, and was referring to the rescheduled appointment that mistakenly used the 2010 instead of the 2018. First of all, he is wrong about MY car that wasn't even the car I was servicing. Dumb. Anyone with a 14 year old car would be using full synthetic. I didn't address it, but immediately lost trust in him. So, I explained how I originally scheduled my 2018 and it was switched when I called and the price of $109.95 is what the website listed as the cost of an oil change for my 2018. The lady on the phone mixed up the cars, and rescheduled my 2010. He was incorrect about the price. He was also trying to tell me that was a "sale" price and I could not use my coupon combined with it. Once I cleared it up, he said he would be taking $100 off the oil change. I guess in Jon Bowles world, the oil change is $150. The problem is, the Audi of Lansing website has it listed as $109.95. I received a text message with a video tour of my car narrated by the technician, Christian. This was the best part of this whole thing. It was literally a walking tour of the underneath and hood area of my car fully explaining everyhing to me and I got to see it. I knew I will need engine mounts soon, as is common with this car and my mileage, and it was very cool to see them and get the explanation. There was another part of the link that is an Inspection Report, with options like OK, needs future attention and immediate attention covering every section of my car. Then, Jon came back to where I was sitting again. This is why I am writing this review. He had with him a cabin air filter. It was in the shape of a rectangle with a slanted corner. He asked me long I owned the car, I told him. He then told me it hadn't been very well taken care of and showed me this filter that came out of a plastic bag and one side was indeed black with pollution. I asked about cost, he said around $90. ***What he did was show me some dirty air filter they must have in the back to try and get people to pay for this service.***The air filter he brought me was not from my car but from a 2009-2017 model, hence the slanted corner. The 2018's on use a full rectangle filter. I purchased the filter at parts when I left for $30, and changed it when I got home, it took me 2 minutes. The filter I pulled out is NOT what he showed me in the showroom where I was waiting. My bill was $70 less than the price, not $100. The oil change price was $159. 31 with taxes and fees. The estimate was listed as $141.07. I scheduled a $109.95 service. By my calculations I was overcharged between $30-$35. I expect this to be fixed, asap. Lastly, I am an Audi hobbiest. I know Audi like the back of my hand. I know the brand, I know the history, and I know the model I prefer and own 2 of. I am a hobbiest, as many Audi owners are. I run in Audi enthusiast circles. This Jon Bowles must be new and must be from a different brand and has poor ethics as does Audi of Lansing.

I worked with Nick, who exudes "why are are you bothering me?". As there was a warranty issue due to Arlington Nissans error, Nick explained that I needed to figure that out or pay for the part out of pocket. This is a dealership warranty, FYI. He also refused to order the $400 part until I paid $1800 for parts and labor. There are many solutions to a problem like this, but this group is not what I would call problem solvers. I sorted out the warranty, got Nick to order the part and installed it, then they closed for the weekend. I appreciate a weekend off, but the entire sales team is not able/allowed to run a credit card to close a due bill on a saturday, as if this was a union shop. I suggested that after a 4 day delay of getting my car back that "I hope their quality of work is better than their quality of customer service", Nick just laughed as if either one could be worse. FYI, they don't use temporary mats and will track shop oil into your car. They did not reset the oil maintenance ticker. I have no proof they did any work besides their word. In summary, Graff Nissan service does not care, will not go the extra mile, might do their job at the minimum level and has no issue delaying getting your car back to you. Pathetic.

The service team don't leave messages on their phones to let you know if they are out of office or taking care of a customer and will be back shortly. when I contacted the general manager he was unapologetic. Secondly, when I went in to have my car cleaned for $300 the end result was pathetic. There was white all over the edges of doors, door handles, gas lid, etc. Also swipe marks where the cleaner had not thoroughly polished and wiped the car. I have had better jobs at $10 drive throughs. Service did offer to clean the car again but it was so inconvenient to drop it off for a day, and ask friends to drop me off and pick me up that I declined. Other places I've serviced my car at always offered free loaner cars for the day. Just very disappointed in the service at Sierra.
