This dealership (Mr. Dian Lu in particular) went above and beyond with customer service by "rescuing" my family on a busy Saturday. My family and I were in Okemos for a Juniors' Volleyball Tournament and had a serious tire/rim issue on our BMW 5-series. It turns out that one of the vehicle's rims had a 1.5 inch crack in it and was losing air rapidly. Despite being very busy on a Saturday, these folks worked me right in (after Dian spent a lot of time on the floor in nice slacks diagnosing the problem) and "patched" up the rim so my family could safely get back home (about 200 miles away). They did not have and could not get a new rim in time for my return home, so they did what great service personnel do - they provided me with a safe, reliable short-term SOLUTION. I am not a regular customer of this dealership and had never been to this place of business in the past. They had no reason to go out of their way to help, but did so anyway. Every one I encountered was determined to assist me with my problem. During my time in the greater Lansing area, every place I went and everyone I encountered placed a premium on customer service; and I for one, am grateful and impressed. First time with this particular mercedes benz dealership. They actually broke things such as my holder that holds my hood up (last August 2022, still waiting for the call because the part came in) -broke my drivers side mirror (didn't tell me, found out when I was merging on a highway doing 70)~REALLY messed up the charges to my insurance company INCLUDING charging my insurance company for the brand new rims that I had bought, paid for, and had delivered from California. The GM was way too busy to talk with me, and after way too many conversations to get my car done correctly without any more damage to it...I took it elsewhere and learned I had saved by doing so, as MB wasn't, the word I'm looking for is....not 100% above board. I asked them to tell my insurance company about the fact I had purchased what was covered unknowingly (tire rims) and reimburse ME the money I spent - and they refused. One of the selling points of owning my last mercedes benz, and had for almost 20 years, was the above level of service provided, top notch. For me, that justified these outrageous prices of "normal" maintenance. This place falls short by far, and in my opinion aren't up to the level of customer service a high end automobile car and thier owners should expect. Total rip off. I took my Porsche Cayenne in for an oil change and other maintenance checks, It cost over $1500. I knew the charge would be expensive but I didn't expect to get my car back with a broken rear window wiper motor. I have had the vehicle for two years now with out the wiper giving me any problem. When I picked up my car the rear wiper was stuck in the half way position. Over seven hundred dollars later they fixed what they had broken. On top of that when I picked the car up there was a "Interm. service in 1000mi" notification that should not be on after a $1500 maintenance inspection. The cost to reset the notification; $400. WTF I just spent over $2000 on an oil change and a broken rear window wiper motor that they had broke. I am currently looking for a new place to do my maintenance. I knew going in to buying this car that it would be expensive but I had higher expectations with Serra. Very dissatisfied. read more

I was in town on business and needed to stop by for service. The Mercedes manager was rude, and I got that "nasty" vibe. Then I went into the showroom, where they have "one stop" price, or whatever it is called. I was interested in a car, and, at first, thought it was well-priced. Then I did research and found out that it was about 20% above market for a car that is hard to sell. When I discover a car dealer is trying to "work" me, or "lie," I'm out of there. That's old school car dealing. Modern car dealers are like other high end businesses. It starts with honesty. I understand from talking to one my brother's best friends, who owns a dealership, that a lot of dealers are staffed by managers who grew up in a different era and haven't changed with the times. God bless the people who still want to shop with them. They are interfering with evolution of our species. Chuck fit me into the schedule when it was most convenient for me, and the recall was completed in less than an hour. I live 25 miles away, so the convenience factor is key to me. This is the second time it has been outright terrible. The service manager does not return calls or give you any idea what needs done. You would think they would want to get paid and get the car off their lot. I took my Porsche there for an issue with my headlights not working. I told them I replaced the headlight switch ,but it didn't fix the issue. They looked at it and said it had a bad headlight switch and replaced it for $807. The next time I drove it in the dark, the headlights didn't work. It started raining and I found the wipers also were not working. I took it back and they said it was actually the ignition switch that was the problem. I received an estimate for $1827. I looked into the issue myself and decided to buy the switch and install it myself. It cost me under $20 including shipping. After installing it, everything worked fine. I could not get anyone to call me back about getting a refund for the prior headlight switch. This shop is not reputable and I will never do business with them again. I would recommend going elsewhere for any service. read more

Utter trash company to work with. I had a deposit on a pending sale and they sold the car right from under me with no communication. Sales Associate and Sales Manager were both responsible for the bait and switch. Repeated requests for contact were ignored. I own a fleet and would have easily been a repeat customer. I hope I can give no star to this shit auto shop. I took my Porsche to this shop to do the service. Just the basic work that might need couple hours. But after 1 day they told me the car does not work at all. And when I asked what is going on they were horrible told me the car just did not work. Some electronic problem And they said it was NOT their problem. It is the car's wrong. In fact my car was so good when I took to there. After 2 week they finally fix it and the car just like changed a lot. The tires do not work well like before. And tire pressure system just gone away. We live in Novi and mere walking distance from a closer dealership. Our experience there was horrendous and I was frankly disgusted with MB. It just so happens that my husband was searching the Internet and came across Okemos. While it was a drive we figured it was worth a shot. It was quite a phenomenal experience. We had to bring our two toddler boys along and no one said a peep, even when the boys' short attention spans grew weary. When I relayed occurrences that took place in Novi they stated that in Okemos it is a smaller town feel. I respectfully disagree. They are business savvy and in touch with how to appeal to the customer's unique needs and make them feel heard and appreciated. My neighbor loves my ML350 and I told him to make the trip. As an African American senior citizen I am use to having people trying to take advantage of me. But this Okemos Car Dealership takes it to a new level. They don't care about how their sales people lie. For example, Linda the sales woman told me I would have a 4 year warranty, and a year later I went to use the warranty and the company told me they had no knowledge of my car or vin number. When I called back to the dealership, Mr. Shaheen said he knows that Linda never told me that , and that my car warranty had just expired. I asked for a copy of the BMW warranty and Mr. Shaheen put me on hold and never returned to the phone. This is shameful, unprofessional and just plain wrong. I strongly suggest you do not do business with these vultures. And for Black and Brown people in and around the area. Be Ware of these parasites. Waited 3 hours for them to drive my M3 from the front of the lot to the back, only to have them tell me they couldn't do anything for me. If you want to waste your time and get absolutely no service, stop by this BMW dealer. Their service manager is useless as well. It's also impossible to make an appointment. The wait time is at least 7-10 days, however, after reading all the bad reviews for this auto shop, I guess they did me a favor by not servicing. My one star rating is me being generous. read more

I purchased a BMW from Okemos Auto Collection in January. They promised it will be delivered in 4 days, but took 3 weeks. When it arrived there was a dent on the trunk of the car. They blamed it on the delivery company and said delivery company insurance will pay for it. But the delivery company refused to take responsibility. They claimed it happened after I received it, although I had contacted the dealership with pictures immediately after getting the car. Trying to schedule an oil change is harder than scheduling open heart surgery. They promise you a loaner and then apologize when they've "given it to someone else." This was after they overlooked my initial appointment that was scheduled on on-line. If you are wondering why you might need a loaner for an oil change, it is because it can take two hours in some cases. Bottom line is that some service advisors are great, others are not. I am dreading when my car is past warranty. I don't want to deal with the service department when I have a "real" issue. read more

horrible-not even one star paid 2500 in october for fluid replacement. coolant lines, oil gasket, oil pan and filter, both alternator belts and temperature unit, and by march the radiator lost all its fluid and thus the engine overheated and was destroyed. they claimed the radiator was cracked but since it melted from the heat i dont know how that could be the conclusion. i swear it was their doing. the bottom line is now i have to come up with 12000 to replace radiator, temp unit and engine. and pay 213 for diagnostic. they would not take responsibility that they had their hands in that area of the car. offered me 500 for the nonworking car that they will probably fix and sell for 13000. read more

HORRIBLE!!! In late April 2016 I had new tires put on my 2004 Mercedes E320 station wagon at Belle Tire, watched them put them on. Made an appointment at Okemos Auto Collection to have an alignment done on my care which was a few days later. My car had NEVER had its check engine light go on since I owned it including the few days I waited to get my car into the Okemos Auto Collection for its alignment. Immediately, after leaving the Okemos Auto Collection my check engine light was on. I immediately returned and service lady came out and checked it with her diagnostic hand held device and said it was a false alarm and reset my car so the light went off. The next day I began my journey to Los Angeles, CA where I live. Withing 20 miles outside of Lansing my light went on again but I kept traveling along. By the time I got to L.A. my car was running with a hesitation at low speeds. I brought my vehicle into a fantastic repair shop in L.A. who discovered my VACUUM LINE on the left side of the engine was completely disconnected which caused a major vacuum leak causing my car's check engine light to go on and run poorly. They reconnected my line, light went off, car now runs great. HERE'S THE PROBLEM. As the repair shop in L.A. explained, it's impossible for these lines to come off by themselves, they need to be physically removed. I thought, well maybe Okemos Auto Collection took this vacuum line off to do the alignment, maybe it was in the way. Talked to Matt Hart (service manager) who claims no way would they go near that line for an alignment.....too bad too sad story. So I'm out $257.81 from my bill from the L.A. shop to diagnose and reconnect my line and I drove across the country with this line disconnected which makes me very unhappy. LONG STORY SHORT - WATCH OUT!!!! OKEMOS AUTO COLLECTION JUST MAY SABOTAGE YOUR VEHICLE (LIKE I BELIEVE THEY DID MINE) IN ORDER FOR YOU TO END UP GOING BACK TO THEM FOR ANOTHER SERVICE. IN OTHER WORDS, THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS NOT REPUTABLE AND THEY ARE SCAMMERS. read more
