Upon arrival I was greeted by a lady who was extremely polite. Told her I wanted SNS nails and showed me the colors they had. I selected an orange color and all seemed well until her husband came to do my nails. As he's dipping my nails I noticed that the powder later on my nails were uneven with lumps. When I brought it up to his attention, he said don't worry I will file it down in the end I said okay. Now, after apply the 3rd layer he starts filing the powder down on my nails using the machine. He was filing my nail down so much that it started to burn my nail. He apologized and put alcohol on it. This was the 2nd thing to go wrong. So he burns me 2 more time and I asked him to please stop. As he's applying the top coat, I noticed the bases of some of nails are missing polish. Drew it to his attention and he said well you don't have to pay for it if you don't like it. Uuummm..did you intentional mess up nails ??? So anyway, as my nails are drying, he decides he wants to give my arm and hand a massage with lotion. When He stops, the polish was finished drying and he messes the nail up. At this point he's insisting to do it over but because that would consist of me being burned again by a file...HELL NO!!! Although pissed as hell and annoyed with the screw up of my nails, I paid $20 And tip 5 since he did put the work in but was terrible. I've been meaning to do this review for a few weeks. I looked them up on Yelp cause I needed a better salon than the last one. And the selection of decent salons open were scarce. I booked an appointment the day before for my fiance and myself to both get pedicures, a manicure for him and a fill/cut down for me. We get there and it seems ok. She starts on taking my polish, etc off prior to my pedicure. She then starts my pedicure and at least 4 times during my pedicure she stops and is texting other clients that I guess she had scheduled (which was pretty close to my appt time). She finishes my feet and starts my nails, beginning with cutting them down. I show her on one hand where I want the length, she then proceeded to take a phone call telling a client they had to wait in the car because she was almost done. Apparently the lady is complaining bc she's been out there for a while, the nail tech agrees and states she's frustrated too. (from what?! lack of proper scheduling?!) So she proceeds to rush on my nails, and cuts my second hand way shorter (bc my thumb nail was broken, instead of fixing that nail). I had to point out they weren't the same length before she actually fixed it. Then the nail tech stops again bc apparently the client demands she's not waiting in the car anymore, and the nail tech prepares her pedicure water. Not one customer has left for her to even be in there without it being space in between the chairs. So of course she's sitting next to another client‍. So after she's done my nails, she proceeds to add another coat of polish on my toes, knowing I don't have time to dry them with her rushing already!! Then tells me to be careful... Of course I messed my toe up getting out of the car and had to get them redone. I know this was a long review but this shows the lack of preparation on their part to make sure their clients aren't having any chances of contact and remaining 6 ft apart. They just want your money honestly. Won't be going back here!!! I'll just have to be patient with my current place. Also, got home and noticed some of my nails started to ripple (if that makes sense) because the gel didn't dry all the way!!! Unacceptable!!! read more

Went here because of the high ratings. Ambience and customer service was accurate based on reviews, however the two ladies that did my mani/pedi was just ok: Pedi: Lady with glasses did a nice job massaging but kept wiping and cleaning off polish off my feet and I had to ask her to paint the sides of my nails. Lacks attention to detail with paint. Mani: She did a great job with actually painting my nails but skipped the lotion, massage, and cuticle oil that I saw other clients receive. She also scraped my gel nails with her own nails after wrapping in foil and acetone which was slightly off putting. That was a wham bam thank you ma'am effort. I did love Dana and definitely felt her positive energy, I would just be more selective about my technicians the next time. read more

I went to Serenity for a fill on my acrylic nails. I called ahead to ask for the price. I would like to find an affordable place. She said it would be $30. When I got there, they did the upsell. I always say no to gel nails and dip. However, this time, two of them pushed hard for the dip. Not only did they charge me $50, but it took much longer than a fill and since I was leaving to drive to Virginia from there, I was really annoyed. The dip was guaranteed to last longer (about three weeks). It certainly did not come close. My nails are a wreck at fifteen days. The dip also bent so I had creases across the middle of three of my nails. The owner said come back if you are not happy. The funny thing about that is I don't have any trust left since I know they will never honor their word. I'm afraid they will just fast talk me into something else and I will leave unhappy. I do NOT recommend this place since they wouldn't do my fill for $30 as I initially asked when I sat down. read more

I was not impressed during my second visit. I paid $80+ for a mani and pedi and expected better service and quality. The owner seems talented but her staff don't know what they are doing. The gel here lasts about 8-10 days which is typical anywhere. I got paraffin and the oil made my polish on my toes shift and look so sloppy as if it were painted in the dark. I went back in a few hours later and the woman fixed it to the best of her ability. I'm just not impressed with the quality of work. I will not be visiting this salon again. read more

I'm newish to the area and the first time I went looking for a nail salon, I ended up at this place that did a mediocre job for twice the amount I'm used to paying. So when I got a coupon for this place, I figured I'd try it out. The first time I walked in, I was greeted so very warmly. And my pedicure and dipping gel manicure was done very well, at a cost that is more way more appropriate and reasonable. I've been here a few more times since then, and they always take care of me. Dana has been doing my nails for over 10 years. But sad to say will not be going back to see her. Have made appointments to be ask twice if someone else can do my pedicure and she will do my nails. On top of that she bounces back and forward between other people. You make an appointment for a reason. She use to take her time and now she rushes through my nails. Was in there on Friday and she did not even put a top coat on my nails. By Sunday my polish was chipping off. I think Dana tries to do to many people at once needs to focus more on one person at a time. read more

I figured I'd try a new place- this place was a little bit more expensive than my usual spot but it was convenient - started out OK - the man who did my base pedicure did a good job. But then a woman took over to do the design and my eyebrow wax. The design on my toes looks very weird. Had a good experience here. I made the mistake of coming early for my appointment for a mani pedia and had to wait on the pedi chair for 20 minuets before someone could attend me. People there are nice and they did a great great job which is most important. Two weeks later and my toes are still perfect. My nails have obviously chipped but mostly because I started peeling it off. But whats more important is that the girl who did my nails managed to make everything look smooth, didnt leave any empty spots on the side if the nails and it was all even. He gives THE BEST foot massage you'll feel like your in heaven. Dana and Han are the owners and they are the sweetest couple. She was so wonderful that I followed her when she and her husband opened their own shop. They have made it into a beautiful, restful, haven! Dana personally greets all clients with a big smile. And it seems to me, she has a personal relationship with many of us. The shop is immaculate and efficient. I have recommended Nail Spa to family and friends and they have all become satisfied clients. The prices are very competitive.
