I was searching for a new stylist after my last one moved. I have very fine hair that I prefer be cut in layers. Oddly enough it's tough to find a stylist who is good at cutting fine hair into layers. I looked at many salons but the reviews were always mixed or the place was also a spa and tried to sell you other services. After seeing several reviews for Today's Image and a stylist named Suzanne I decided to book an appointment. Wow! Today's Image is a Total Winner. Nice salon, good location and Suzanne totally rocks as a stylist. She made sure I was happy with the length and number of layers before she styled it. So many past stylists have tried to cut my hair really short because I'm older. But I look terrible with short hair. Suzanne cut it as I wanted it. Probably the best haircut I've had since moving to Maryland. I highly recommend this place and Suzanne. Prices are reasonable not high. read more

My hair cut I just got is horrible. I'm crying. I got my hair cut and colored here many times but this time was not good. I have extremely choppy cut which is weird because when the lady styled my hair before I left the salon yesterday it looked fine but I took a shower/washed my hair and now I see the horrible cut. I will apply pictures. I don't remember who cut my hair but she was young and blonde. The color is much darker then I expected it to be but it was a semi permanent color so I hope it washes out soon. They say fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! I will NEVER EVER COME BACK HERE. Years ago I came to this salon for a cut and partial highlights. The woman who did my hair was unfriendly and complained about how tiring it was to do my hair. Few years later, I decide to give the salon another try with another stylist. As a person she was nice. As a stylist, horrible. I asked for 1.5 inches off. Blunt bob with layers. When I walked out, at least 3 inches were gone and it looks like Edward Scissorhands cut my hair. I am ashamed to be seen in public and now left with a mess that I can't do ANYTHING with. read more

Horrible experience with Kelly!!! BEWARE! I have long hair and expressed that I wanted a cut and to take BABY STEPS to find the right length. So she immediately cuts off 9 inches of hair?!?! She apologized, but that does NOTHING to undo what she did. I made sure to tell her I was nervous about getting a cut and she did little to understand that. I love this salon so much everyone is very friendly. The shampoo chair is so comfortable, it reclines so your feet are up and supported. No neck pain whatsoever! Susan is magnificent! A friend of mine recommended Today's Image after getting some bomb a** ombré from them. I went to Today's Image to get a REVERSE ombré and it turned out PERFECT!! I called in at around 3 and was able to book an appointment for the same day, after work. The receptionist that answered my call was EXTREMELY helpful, knowledgeable and upfront. I told her what I wanted and she explained the whole process to me and it turned out to be a bad idea and she suggested something that would be much more cost effective and healthy for my hair. I came in with nasty orange ombré disgusting dry hair and I left with gorgeous black and brown, super soft hair from Eleza! Dawn at Today's Image is a godsend. I have thick, wavy hair and I've had a lot of bad experiences with stylists who have cut it too short, thinned it too much, or haven't known how to cut it. But not Dawn! She does exactly what I ask, her experience with thick hair and cutting layers cannot be beat. So thankful to have found her. Brittany cut both of my daughters' hair, which they had grown down to their lower back. She gave them both adorable stacked bobs that have been so easy to manage (wash and go!). The cut was also inexpensive ($20), especially for such a nice looking salon. Brittany took her time cutting and washing their hair. I have been coming here for a couple years with good results, but I will never come back here after my last visit with Jenefer. I paid $230 (not including tip) for a cut and color and basically paid for my natural brunette hair to get messed up. I asked for a balayage and showed pictures for reference of what I wanted. Instead I received horrible, patchy too bright highlights in which all of my friends and coworkers comment on (in a negative way). Plus the haircut was mediocre at best. I even spoke to my hairstylist friends and showed pictures of my hair and they admitted it was bad. I reached out to Jenefer to fix my issues and she made it seem like she would, but then stopped responding to me entirely when I tried multiple times to set a date to come in. I even stated I would rather her just dye my hair back brunette vs giving me what I originally wanted and yet still no response. What a huge waste of money and now I have to live with this until I drop another couple hundred dollars for someone else to fix my hair. read more

I am terrified of getting my hair cut because people always seem to cut it too short or don't understand how my hair really is. It's super frizzy and curly, not easy to tame. brought my daughter to have her hair done, she showed them a picture of the dye job she wanted and was told yes the hair stylist can do it well it was a nice try instead of intense red on top she got a light red then it was supposed to go down to blond basically she got a sherbert color thing going on. not bad if it stayed that color she washed with the expensive shampoo and cond we got. now i have pink bath curtains and she had bright red hair...the amount of money that was spent and the tip that was given and the time just dont understand what happen, the one star is the hair stylist was nice and acted like she knew what she was doing and the place was clean... read more

Pedicure was amazing, but manicure was no good. My manicurist was so nice, but she didn't really clean up my nails the way I was hoping. All I got was a quick file and a cuticle clip, not cleaning anything up around the edges. Also, she clipped my cuticle so badly that I had to take off my manicure because it was starting to get infected. It's still painful and swollen 4 days later. Other than that, a nice clean place! I'll go back for the pedicure ($45 for a signature, worth it) but not the manicure. read more

I have been coming here for 2 years. It is local and I love to give local businesses the business when I can. I have been seeing Dawn. Her cuts are great. But the highlights are not what I wanted. I told her exactly what I wanted and she never seemed to get the color right. They also have a client referral program and I referred two clients that went and got color and cuts. They did NOT hold up their end of the bargain and give me the discount. The owner was present when I talked to them about this. She said the referral discount only is applied if your referral sees your stylist. So much for referrals to the entire salon. I have spent hundreds of dollars at this salon and they won't give the referral discount? BAD customer service for a mediocre salon at best. Bad business move. I have a lot of friends in the area and I will not be referring anyone to that salon. Also, my son had a hair cut from Kathy. She did an awful job of blending the cut and I will not return for my children either. The cut was awful and it was clear that she had never cut a male Childs hair ever. No parent wants to see a definitive line where it is supposed to be blended. read more

When she was doing my hlighlights, I found them slightly light and when I told her this, she went ahead and darkened them for me without any fuss. The minimum $300 keratin treatment didn't work. Went to the store but was told 2 weeks later that try close every other Sunday. Was told later on that there is a 10-day warranty. Was told that manager was on vacation. How convenient is that?! Was even told that I misunderstood what a keratin treatment is. I already know it smoothens & reduces drying time of my hair.
