First visit not impressed at all. Recently stopped in and ended up talking to mgr just sharing the language barrier makes it hard to convey clearly the client need and expectations. Wow!!! Sarah completely changed my view!! She was intentional, experienced and put detail into her work. Not a lot of chatter... which I appreciate at times with spa day. my wife and I had appointments with two different technicians when we got there for our appointment. They took us back to two chairs. We stood there while they said our technicians would be there shortly. One girl showed up to do my wife pedicure, but not the person we an appointment with. She said that girl was sick and that she would be doing her nails the person that was supposed to be nails was on another and said that she wouldn't be ready to do my nails pedicure for 30 minutes plus I told her that was unacceptable. The only reason my wife stayed was because she had a gift card. we also had similar issues a couple of times before this incident. We were repeat customers, but never go back there. out of business and they will if they keep treating their like we were treated good riddance. read more

Searching for new salon that I have access to more than one good tech for when my family joins. I made my appointment about 2 weeks out and explained my situation. I thought I would be in good hands, I made an appointment but it appeared that it was placed on wrong day but it was a little hard to see from the opposite side of counter so I asked again clearly confirming the day, date and time and the gentleman said yes. Fast forward to this morning, I'm a little early but did not expect them to accommodate, I just like to be early in general. As I wait I get to hear a few clients commenting on their techs double booking and one never makes appointments now because she is never sure if her tech will be there or on time. This was concerning but moved on to my chair when they motioned for me to come on back. I had a couple options for color and I made my choices. I had two ladies assisting with my appointment. Both were nice but there were issues. I know we are supposed to speak up before things get too far and I did multiple times. My chair was too far back and I tried to move it forward myself with little luck and asked for help but I got little. I was so far back my knees where locking straight which is not good for circulation nor is it comfortable when have to lift them for the tech. There were no support blocks in sight either so I just made do when I asked her twice and she barely moved my chair twice and left it when I said more please. I asked for the ocean breeze box for my pedi and got the gold instead, for $75 I would like what I asked for. I noticed my nail tech felt a little off about choosing to go with rounded nails this time around vs the almond I had. It's an up charge at this salon and I wanted to change my style as well. I noticed some layering issues fairly quickly as she was doing the dipping and I did mention it but she told me to focus on shape and the rest would come later... the shape was ok but definitely would need smoothing and uniformity, so I mentioned that and she just moved on. I was starting to feel uncomfortable at this point with making any mention of issues but she moved through process and the groove remained all the way to end where she didn't even ask if there any issues but walked away to see her other client already sitting at her table. When she came back I pointed it out but she acted like it was not there. I'm glad she didn't try to tell me it was my nail bed but she pulled out her file and spent a minute on it and placed gel clear coat over it which was not what the rest of the nails were done with but I left it alone because she kept getting clearly upset. She asked again are you happy, are you sure and it was clear she was not feeling me at this point. I didn't know what else to do so I said yes. I took a quick check of the rest and by that point the other tech had pulled my pains down and asked if I was good. I could barely see my toes but what I could see was fine. I left and went to target at that point. On my walk in I noticed a lot of extra nail color on my skin that was not cleaned up. When I was in changing room I reached down to feel nails and see if it easily would one off. It didn't and all my nails were jagged which was clear easily as I tried to pull clothing on. At that point I noticed another nail ail now had a ridge that you could feel and see as if it had not fully cured. I know it was not there at salon so I went back and showed them. That was an even worse experience because she acted as if I had done something to nail and the one who did my feet had no idea what I was asking which makes sense why I got a different box than requested. This is the worst nail salon I have ever been to. I went 5 days ago and got a deluxe pedicure and SNS manicure. The lady who did my pedicure was incredibly rough. She was cutting my toenail and all of the sudden I had a sharp HORRIBLE pain. She cut an ingrown toenail, without my consent and without warning. It began to bleed, profusely, and she let the blood pool on my nail and on the side of my nail where it touches my toe. She cut me several times with the tool. This was hands down the absolute worst pedicure of my life. Fast forward 5 days..my SNS began to crack on my thumbs and then my right index finger nail began to come unattached. I went in to ask them to fix. She asked me to figure out the color. There are seriously about 500 colors..I told her I did not remember exactly. She color matched it and told me she was confident this was the right color. It was not. She tried to repair my nail and pained the three damaged on a different color. I told her it didn't match and she told me it was close. It wasn't close at all. She ended up painting all my nails this ugly color, without asking me first. They look so terrible. I mean absolutely horrible. Don't go to this salon..their work is trash! read more

Katie cannot speak a word of english and when I pointed out that the color that I picked out and the color she put on with SNS didn't match, she could not understand a word that I said. The lady in the picture that I attached was supposed to come over and help her and you can see what she is doing. She was awful, and refused to help. A gentleman that I could barely understand came over and told me they would give me a discount but by that time, she had put so many coats over it, they are buckling up. They charged me more for my services and I walked in with zero polish or paint on where as my daughter had a nail take off service in addition to the mani/pedi. The tech cut my skin in two places when I asked them to be careful as they were hurting my skin. I also never been to a nail shop that will not offer cuticle cutting and nail bed clean up with a manicure. They said I had to pay extra to get those services. Serenity Nails. I Had a mani pedi and checked out paid $81 using my credit card. I did not add a tip. They charged my credit card again after I left unauthorized charge $8 for a tip. I went back after 2 days when I was alerted by my bank of the charge to request the $8 charge be reversed. The tech who did my nails tried to give me cash $8 back. I said no. I want the unauthorized charge to my credit card reversed and I want a receipt. I told them it is against the law to charge a credit card without consent of the card holder. They never apologized. The last owner of serenity used to not let the employees speak anything, but English, let me just say that was very nice. I wish they would still do that now I went this morning and about four or five of the employees were just sitting around and talking loudly, laughing and eating, and it was not a very relaxing experience, especially not at 9:30 in the morning, they just are so in talking to each other that they act like they could care less if you're there or not, I will not tip anymore. Peter provided exceptional service. He is very skilled at SNS. He also is fast and thorough. The low ratings, however, do concern me about going back. I also don't see a response to these ratings here which is unfortunate. The shop is large and clean, but it is not welcoming. It took quite a while to be seen. I noticed quite a few people sitting around waiting. This shop has a lot of potential and could benefit from someone paying attention to the low reviews and taking action on the feedback. The previous location was great. It was smaller, but the services were great - and the customer service was awesome. I used to go regularly and was always treated very well. I've been to the new location twice. I first went when the opened up the bigger new location & was treated horribly. The teenaged girl they had hired to check everyone in basically ignored me, and when I finally got my pedicure, the person who did it did a pretty bad job. I figured I'd give it several months, let them get settled in to the new space & hopefully it would be better. Went again yesterday & the man who checked me in told me to "calm down" when I was (calmly) trying to clarify that I wanted regular polish, not gel. It was rude and disrespectful to be spoken to like that, in my opinion. I miss the old location and how wonderful they treated their customers! I won't be back to this new location again. so me and my mom went because there sister business was a 40 min wait. so we both came in for a acrylic fill in and the lady who did my mom swore that she had SNS and cut off her fake tips and the put acrylic on. We told her we had just come in for a fill in and she continued to chop them off. When the girl doing my hands said she made a mistake she thought it was sns she then put the acrylic on after telling her at-least 10 times we didn't want sns. I told the lady at the front that she chopped off her brand new set and her response was okay I'll discount.... by 5$ however we all know having tips put on every finger is more then that. We were a walk in for 2 pedicures and one plain manicure! I think all nail salons have increased the fees a great deal for the service provided. I'm sure it's because of the high expense of running a salon. I almost did not go into the salon due to the reviews, but It was ok, Christina was friendly and did a nice manicure, I enjoyed the chat. I did not hear the mans name that did my pedicure, but he was courteous. I asked for the basic, because I feel it's adequate for me. My husband resided on one of the higher priced pedicure decided he enjoys the hot stones massage. He said Lily did a nice job on his toes and the massage was very relaxing. We're glad we stopped in, will probably be back, but will choose a less busy time, the room was too warm and muggy. Even the store front windows were sweating! On my first two visits to the salon everything went great. But on my last three attempts things have certainly gone downhill. First I was supposed to get silver tips on my nails and they did the entire nail silver. I lived with it for two weeks, made an appointment to get them changed and then they canceled my appointment. When I got my appointment rescheduled a week later, Peter had left when I arrived, I waited an hour and they had only removed the awful silver nails. I ended up leaving without having my nails finished. It's a shame that their service has been this bad just trying to get my nails done. My whole family was using the salon. (Yikes- Labor department better make sure they get breaks- just saying) They carry the latest colors and adhere to standard hygienic-sterile regulations - at least I asked for all new pieces anyway just to be safe. Nice pop background music sounded better than the usual awkward silence and staff was friendly & well trained. Conveniently located nextdoor to Taco Mac at Exit 19/575. I even brought my daughter who likes the gel nails. Tip: I brought my own sandals to leave with as opposed to the flimsy pair that breaks when I drive off. Otherwise the socks leave marks on my freshly polished dry toenails. read more
