This is my third time to this location and let me tell you, I'd come back! WARNING!! I've only gotten pedicures done here!! For today's visit, we (party of 3) waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated since they were fairly packed and busy. I always get the Pandora OPI pedicure. Unfortunately, since they were so busy, 1 person in my party had to wait 30 minutes for someone to do their pedicure while the other 2 got a nail tech. Destiny was one of the nail techs who did a great job at making sure we were well taken care of. She gave us each a cup of water and proceeded to turn our water on before the rest of our nail techs arrive. Destiny is one of the nail techs we've gotten for every one of my visits. She is super sweet, funny and is very thorough. Especially during the scrubbing because she was putting her whole back and arms into it. Dan (Than?) not sure the spelling- is fairly quiet. We've also gotten her for every visit. She may not conversate much but she's VERY VERY THROUGH. She takes her time and is very detailed in her pedicure services. We had Danny as our third nail tech today! He mentioned that he usually does fingernails. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Chinese zodiac signs. Everything can be improved - been coming for almost a year and in the last few months it's been steadily declining... for first time in over 20 years one of their ladies burned me feet during a pedicure, acrylic & shellac nails crack and fall off within days, go back for a fix & different person and at best it lasts 2 weeks when it used to last 4+ if I needed.. when making appts doesn't seem to matter anymore, they'll give it away or make you wait 30+ min and then tell you sorry, there's nobody there for you. Extremely sad and frustrating, won't be returning. No offer for drinks, bare minimum on the extras in packages and getting very expensive ($70 for a pedicure now?) Upon arrival I thought this place looked like a nice facility. Lots of nail color choices and plenty of seats so you can go sit next to friends. I did not like how pushy they were with suggesting an upgrade to the top $50 pedicure. I'm on a teacher salary here...so nope I do not want the Paraffin wax fancy pedicure. Been there, done that in the past at other places and not what I want to spend money on. The classic cheapest one was 30$ and that was much closer to what I wanted to pay. I do feel that after my teacher friend and I insisted the classic pedicure was fine, the workers then seemed snoody and hurried as quick as they could to do our pedicure and move on to the next person. My person was talking on earbuds to someone in a phone conversation the entire time and never came back to see if I needed the flip flop shoes. One friend in our group did choose the 50$ pedicure and liked it just fine. This place does NOT have an upscale spa feel like say Ihloff in Utica Square, but does seem clean and spacious and good for groups. There is a cute area for mommy and daughter pedicure chairs too. Just not impressed with the service overall. Might come back but only if I need a place that accommodates a group of friends. read more

I've been getting my nails done here since 2019 and today was my final straw. My nail bed had a hole burned through it by the drill when removing my previous set, a nail tip was used to remove my previous set, and UNCLEAN tools were used for my manicure (pulled straight from a dirty bowl). It's been hit or miss lately and today just did it for me. My new set looks like chewing gum. I used to recommend them to everyone, but now I'm warning everyone. Stay away!!! read more

I came to visit from California and I took my nieces here for the first time ever. Right off the bat, I really loved the decorations of the place. Really pretty and pleasing to look at it. I did make an appointment however I was late by 15 so I didn't mind waiting due my party. There were four of us and each one of us went one by one to get our nails done. My sister got French tip dipped powder, it was 45. For me, I had showed a picture of what I wanted, however, I was not pleased with it all because it was not close to what I had wanted or asked for. Overall it was 50 for mines. After my sister and I got done, I went to pay and told them that I was paying for the other two as well. Theirs was 60 each after noticing the paper said 45, 50, 60, and 60. After leaving I finally saw their nails. Seeing their nails, I understand why one was 60 because here's was longer. However, my other niece, hers looking exactly like mines was 60. Overall, I probably wouldn't come again because of my experience, for me as I tend not to come again if I didn't enjoy my experience. read more

Service was SLOW but they were somewhat busy so that's reasonable. What's not okay is PRYING NAILS OFF WITH A PLASTIC NAIL PIECE!!!! It hurts, it tears up my nails, it has made my nails bleed before. Not to mention when your client is literally SQUIRMING in her chair the least you could do is say sorry not just look up and continue doing what hurt me in the first place. What's even worse is she continued to put on new polish over the acrylic that she supposedly took off already. Very disappointing. Last detail is after she was done she took the file tool and dug it into my skin around the nail. She was in a very big rush through the nails and I swear I heard a sigh of relief when she was finally done with my nails. read more

I have never left a bad review about a place until today with this business. The last 3 times I have went I have said regular nail polish on my natural nails and then get questioned over and over if I want shellac. Trying to convince me to do Shellac, dipped or acrylic nails. After about the fifth time of saying Regular nail polish he finally stopped asking and said so you just want regular, after noticing I was about to walk out the door. I did the shellac once and it has ruined my nails for quite a few months until my nails can get back to normal. Once I told them normal manicure, they don't offer a drink anymore. Also asked that I pay and tip before my nails were even touched the last time. Starting to go down hill with services that used making the drive and the nail salon experience exciting. read more

Got another glo dip (they glow in the dark and at first I thought "I'm way too old for glow in the dark nails" but they've lasted for 4 weeks and they've kinda grown on me by providing some comedy in the pitch dark when I can't sleep.) I have been coming to Serenity every two weeks for the last 3 1/2 years. This company has been great. It's very clean and well organized. I have been using Lily for over 2 years. Today I came in to get a nail repair for a small chip after I had just been two days prior. Lily was not in so I was sent to Tina to do the repair. Tina did not completely soak off my dip, cut my nail down so short that when she put a tip on that was too big for my nail, it completely ripped my nail. I came in for something so simple that turned into a mess. Luckily, another tech, Lisa, was available and came to the rescue. She apologized for her coworker's mess and got to work. I'm giving a 5 star for the business and the great techs. For Tina I would give a 0/5. She blamed me for breaking a nail that was not broke when only the dip was chipped. read more

When I came in on a Sunday, I realized there was a little wait. However, another customer asked the wait time and the gentleman working up front stated 20 minutes. I checked in on the iPad and waited in the front lobby for about 10 minutes before being taken back to a pedicure station. After sitting in the chair for an hour waiting to get my pedicure, the tech messed with her timer several times. I got a basic pedicure, but had the worst experience. My nail tech cut me several times, I kept snatching my foot back. He ended up cutting my left big toe so short that he exposed the nail bed, cut that too and my toe began pouring blood. He took his BARE finger and attempted to apply pressure...to which I pulled back again because it's an infection control issue. While the basic pedicure is what it says (basic), he failed to do any cuticle care or heel scrub as well as omitted the lotion on my legs/feet. I was fairly careful choosing which I got because I did want things like heels and cuticles done, but didn't need the full experience of hot wax, stones etc. He argued it wasn't included when I asked. I grabbed the menu he'd given me initially and pointed out it WAS. He continued to apply my base coat and polish, walked off and came back with a heel file. I declined at this point because my feet were dry and he never applied cuticle oil...it would have been a disaster. My polish was terrible. It looked like a child done them. I had old bright pink paint all over my skin where he failed to remove it well. I had to ask for more coats to get good coverage, but he decided painting my skin was a good idea too, smh. I thought he'd clean it up with acetone, but did not. Now, I'm on antibiotics for an infection he gave me and my toe nails are so short it hurts to walk because my nails beds are exposed at the tips. I WAS a loyal customer to Serenity until a few weeks ago. I went in to get my nails filled and when I asked for the gel matte top coat was told "It's so ugly. Why? It's so outdated. Ugh, it's gross! Are you sure?" So you know, if you want to be judged and shamed in front of the entire salon (she wasn't quiet about this and others appeared to be shocked as well), then go ahead and go in. Then, the gel matte top coat mysteriously ran out as soon as I said that was for sure what I wanted. I didn't get the nail techs name but I'm finished with this salon. On top of shaming me for my preference she talked to her friend the entire time, completely distracted she cut my cuticles several times causing them to bleed. Almost every one of my fingers were bleeding thanks to her carelessness. So, like I said, if you want to feel judged and embarrassed for what you like and what you're paying to go on YOUR OWN BODY, then by all means head to Serenity. read more

The problem with this salon is that when you make an appointment it doesn't really mean anything to them. You can have an appointment at 10 AM and you get there at 10 till, and then they will be working on someone else until 11 or after. Totally unacceptable. All they need to do is follow through on the appointments that they make and they would be a really good nail shop. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would! I'm usually not very picky about pedicures because no one is ever close enough to my feet to really be able to tell how good my pedicure is. However, I officially got the worst pedicure of my life at Serenity! The wait was long, but that was understandable for the time of year, so we did not mind waiting. However, both mine and my mother's nail techs talked to us nonstop for nearly the entire service! Not that some talking here or there is a problem, but they were constantly talking to us (my nail tech even was directly flirting with me and suggesting I should give him my number) when we were trying to sit back and relax and enjoy the pedicure. All of that aside, we hoped that at least our pedicures would come out looking good. Unfortunately that is not the case. This is the first time I have ever had a pedicure that looked bad, even from a far distance. We both got gel, and the paint is ALL over our cuticles, not painted all the way to the side, lumpy, and the clear coat is all over the skin surrounding my nails. They also did not soak off our previous gel, but instead filed it all off with their drill. They filed so long on one of my mother's toes that she was worried that they were going to file all the way through her nail. Unfortunately we did not have time to inspect their work until a bit later at home due to the fact we had already spent over 2 hours there for just a pedicure!! Overall, really bad experience. My gorgeous daughter and I have been going there off and on for the last few years and on Friday 10/22/2021 my pedicure was done really fast and the lady wasn't very pleasant. She acted like she didn't want to do my pedicure. After that I went to our normal nail girl and she has been kinda rude these last couple of month and my daughter and I don't know why. I didn't like my color and called that afternoon. Our nail girl said she could get me in the next morning to fix it, but I was running 10 minutes late and called her and she was pissed. I frequent this salon for multiple services. Their techs are fantastic, Hellen did my last set and I think she's my favorite now. I've also had pedicures that nearly put me to sleep they were so relaxing! I've seen them interact with children as well and the techs are always so friendly and humorous. I HATED my experience. I came to get a mani/pedi with a close friend. We got a pedi and everything was fine. Then we got our manicure and they separated us(purposely). The lady who did my nails (Jenna) asked what I wanted. I told her I just wanted shellac w/ rockstar. Before I go any further I have something to say: THIS LADY IS A CROOK! She tries to get as much money out of you as she can! Anyways, I went and sat down thinking I was getting what I wanted, until she got out the FAKE NAILS! I wanted to say "What the heck are you doing!" Then I said "I don't want these!" She said that "My nails is too short to have shellac", which is DEFINITELY a lie! I AM 12 YEARS OLD, I DON'T NEED FAKE NAILS!!! So she ended up making me get them. When my mom arrived she was furious. She told them I didn't want that. So we left. When we got home my mom realized she had paid them for the mistake they made! So we went back up and they took off my acrylic nails. They gave us back $45 for my manicure. Then Jenna came over and was talking trash about my mom. Then she said "The girl never said she didn't want fake nails." My mom once again for was about to blow. And she went over there and told her "MY DAUGHTER. DID. NOT. WANT. FAKE. NAILS!" And the woman just walked off. My mom went to the bathroom for a minute. Then when they had taken them off and given us back our money, we left. On they way home again I told my mom wait Dooey said when she went to the restroom, which was: "Your mom need to calm down." I have a tic disorder and the people at this establishment did not treat me well because of it. First off, I scheduled an appointment ahead of time because of my disability and wasn't greeted until the thirty minute mark and there were only three chairs in use of the 20. The woman doing my nails would often jerk my hands or feet in uncomfortable positions if I slightly twitched. She forced my hands and feet in hot water after I told her no and that it hurt.
