Not even 5 minutes into it, he stopped and took a phone call then just left her at the table and then they ended up moving her to a different person while he took the call. The woman doing my nails kept cutting me and on multiple fingers, one of the cuts was so bad, my finger was swollen and didn't go back down for a week. I walked in and there were so many people. I was advised to check in, so I did. After I walked in another couple walked in and got seated immediately. I figured "oh they might of had an appointment." This was extremely frustrating, especially since these were women coming in after me. After an hour of being there a woman came in and sat next to me. She told me she had an appointment at 3pm. Went here for just short of a year. One specific lady (who told me she was the owner), did my nails so terribly they broke 2 days later. I came back the day it broke and was told to wait. I waited 45 minutes for her to then tell me they were too busy to fix 1 nail. I came back the next day to try again and was not acknowledged when I walked in the door and when I approached the owner she simply told me no. I ended up going to another salon and getting a whole new set. Bad service and quality, considering I paid $50 for a fill only to spend another $75 3 days later to fix the nails they did. read more

I wasn't too impressed about the way they soaked my nails off, i had to pick off all of it. The staff were very friendly but my nail lady demanded that a cut off my real nail, and do acrylic (which i did not want to do). I'm trying to grow my natural nail out and dip is more easier on the nails. She didn't think so, and was a little rude after the fact. I asked for a french tip but she told me it wasn't possible with dip and that she needed to paint the top on - she made my nail this pink color which is not what i asked for but they still look okay. I've searched for an awesome nail place for a really long time, and I think I may have finally found it. My father and I went in together to get manicures and pedicures in preparation for a wedding that we are going to, and it was definitely money well spent. My nails were done pretty much perfectly, and they didn't make us feel like they were trying to rush us out of the door. Considering that we got two manicures and two pedicures, along with basic polish on my toes and dip on my nails, it was very reasonably priced. I came to this place years ago when it was under different management and vowed to never come back due to the rude service. I'm leaving town tomorrow and was in a time crunch so I decided to give it another shot. Bad decision. While the decor has changed and the salon is absolutely beautiful, the staff is just as rude and extremely pushy. I wanted a basic pedicure ($27). After cutting my toenails too short with clippers, the woman kept trying to push me to the higher priced pedicures, even telling me she wouldn't scrub my feet or anything with the basic. I asked her if the basic only included polish change and she began to speak very poor English pointing saying I had to do the $47 pedicure for the basic. I asked to speak with the manager and she suddenly remembered her English and said she could do the calluses for an additional $5. She wanted me to commit to getting a manicure here as well. No way. Worst nail place I've been too! I gave them a couple of time and every time I leave disappointed. One time they only lasted 4 days then they didn't shape them right at all but the this last time was to much Jenny was doing my set she couldn't keep her eyes on my hand to save her life and was going to hard and fast she cut my finger then looked me in the eyes and asked what happen as if she didnt just make me bleed w the file. I just get a basic pedi, always, this place doesn't even scrub your feet on the basic pedi at Star Nails they do. They didn't cut out my ingrown nail on my toes, my manicure looks like absolute shit. I have gone here twice now and gotten dip on my nails, both times my nails have broken within the week. This last time, they broke 4 times within 5 days of getting them done. I went in to see if they could fix them, they said they would then I waited 25 minutes before someone even came to my station. Once the girl finally started, she spent maybe 2 minutes fixing it, messed it up and just put the top coat on like it was fine. My nail was SO lumpy and uneven. Also, I paid $40 the first time and $50 the next so asked why it was different and the lady said it is $50 with a manicure (I never asked for a manicure) but the only difference in services was they rubbed lotion on my hands once they were done. My daughter and I walked in yesterday for pedicures. We've been there together 3 times over the past 3 months, mainly for the convenient location. The male techs that we'd previously gone to always seemed to do a pretty good job. Yesterday's experience was terrible from the moment I walked in the door. There was a terrible dirty stench in the air, the floor around the pedicure chairs were filthy with visible dirt and sock fuzz from other clients feet. My daughter lucked out with a friendly and knowledgeable nail tech, but I was stuck with someone who either didn't know how to give a proper pedicure, or she just didn't care. As a former nail tech myself, I know the basic procedure for a pedicure. First, she didn't put any kind of salts or cleanser in the water to properly sanitize or wash my feet. When she started on my first foot she didn't apply cuticle remover to my cuticles before pushing them back, and then proceeded to push them back with the force of a one year old child. As a result there was nothing to actually nip off with the cuticle nippers, but she was determined to find something. It was so painful that I had to tell her to stop, and that she needed to use the cuticle remover first, and then push back my cuticles with a little more force to actually push back my overgrown cuticles. She looked at me like I was speaking Latin. She looked at the girl next to her to translate, since she spoke perfect English and had heard what I was saying. The other tech told her something. Whatever it was it didn't matter, because she kept just kept doing it, and gave me a dirty look. Then she proceeded to apply callus remover to the bottom of my foot and immediately told me to put it back in the water, before sloughing the product from my heel. I looked at her and said, "are you sure?" When the hot towels came out she literally slapped a dab of clay on the top of foot in a mound and then wiped it off with the hot towel. The polish job was crap, and she didn't even remove the excess polish on my cuticles when she was finished. Within 5 hours of leaving, my big toe was already chipped as a result of her horrible job of filing my nails. I know a nail chip can happen when you're wearing open toed shoes, or being barefoot but I immediately came home and put on slippers. I will NEVER step foot in that place again! read more

I went in on Thursday to get my nails done, however they had completely missed the sides of my nails. So I had to drive all the way back to Lubbock to get them redone (I'm from Littlefield). And when I came in today to get them fixed they only made them worse. My nails are now super thick and very lumpy. Do to them just adding more polish. First, this review is based on my last experience. The other times I've been before I was able to get my nails done by Andy and they and him were awesome! BUT.... this past time I wasn't able to get him to do my nails (he was busy and I was leaving town) so I walked in and they had me go with one of the girls. Few things that stood out to me... this girl looked glammed up she looked like a customer not a technician... I sat down and noticed she was talking but not to me... she was FACETIMING. The worst place ever. My daughter and I went in for dips and pedicures. We each had the $27 pedicure. The next price point was $47 (too big of a gap). It was an express pedicure; basically a nail trim and polish. No foot scrub or callus remover. My toes look like I did them myself ( I don't paint my toes well at all). Our dipped nails were worse! My nails are lumpy and gritty with gaps at all sides. I look as though I'm ready for a fill. We each had residual nail powder beneath our nails. Super sloppy!! I was asked to wash my hands and when I came back, the next customer was in my spot. My purse, car keys and drink were still at the station. They couldn't wait 2 minutes! Our technicians were nice and all but the basic pedicure was extra basic. Not 27$ basic. I'm concerned with equipment sanitation, the techs I saw took their clippers and such in the back and brought them right back out in the paper packet. Terribe experience! Went in for a mani/pedi. Asked for round nails ... the guy literally cut off all of my fingernails and could NOT file them anything but square. I kept telling him, "no round!" He just kept arguing, saying my nails "grew the wrong way, I was a nail biter,". None of which were true. Over the years I've had hundreds of manicures, never with a person who argued or couldn't file your nail round. I was literally losing it! I had dip put on my nails here one week ago and they are already lifting off at the cuticle of a few nails and on one nail the dip is literally peeling off at the tip. I called yesterday and the woman I spoke to said they would fix them, which to me meant take the nails off that were applied incorrectly, and re do them. Instead the woman that was there just put some nail glue on them and said they were fine. I paid $55 for nails that lasted a week. Even after she put the nail glue on it is still peeling off. All of the technicians that have done my nails or feet are very good and friendly. They take care of my natural nails here and I appreciate that. But, after today I'll never be back. i had an appt scheduled for my little girl and I to get a mani/pedi together and have some special girl time! Only place I've found since moving here that can (if you are VERY specific and have a picture or just lucky enough to get Tony) do a good job on pink/white acrylic nails. If I wanted color they're extremely pushy for gel on top of acrylic (I know why but didn't want to spend that much).
