They offer complimentary drinks while you get you nails or toes done also. they also have children's chairs available so they can get pedicures as well. Awful experience. They added $50 extra to our bill, after explaining that we did not get what they charged us for they still did not take it off. And to top it off our nails look awful and you can literally see through them and our pedicures are so uneven. Now I'm going to have to go somewhere else to fix what they messed up. Do not waste your time or money on this place!! My toe nail polish completely peeled off my nail the same evening of getting them done. When the girl glued my nail tips on it left a big gap between my real nail and the tip. The nails came out all bumpy and uneven. she left dried nail product under my nail and on my fingers. She was on her phone the majority of the tome while doing my nails talking about what apartments she wants to get and what she wants for dinner. A 12 year old could have done a better job. I went early in the day in the middle of the week and they nice and empty. They offer frequent flier cards and I go there at least every couple of months. Today I went in to Legacy. I called a day prior to have my appointment set. They took my name and told me okay. I was very excited to have my appointment set, as these would be my birthday nails. I went into legacy and the place was nothing but chaos. They asked what I needed and I told them that I had an appointment. The main guy then proceeds to yell to all the other ladies in another language as if he was mad or confused. He then told me to pick a color and then sit down at table 9. I sat down, and was there sitting for 20 mins. I saw two women come in after me asking how long the wait was. The main guy asked them if they could wait a few minutes and the ladies said yes. I was still looking at colors at my table. I then turn around and see that the two women behind me have been seated with a technician to start their nails. They are walk-ins, I am by appointment. Why are they going before me? I have decided that that's because I was the only AFRICAN AMERICAN in this place. They didn't pay any attention to me besides asking what I want and to pick a color and sit down, Every nail tech had a customer at their chair. Also, my appointment was set for 12, right when they opened. I definitely should of had a nail tech. I then proceeded to walk out the door when a lady came running out saying "No no! I'll do them right now!" I told her no, it's clear that they don't want to do them because i had an appointment and you guys are taking people after me. She ran outside after me because she knew they were wrong! I have never in my years of being at a salon had an experience like this, an experience where I was TREATED LIKE A SPECK OF DIRT. I will make sure that I tell everyone that I know to NEVER come to this unprofessional place! *UPDATE AND RESPONSE: If we want to talk about communication, NOONE in the salon told me that my technician was on her way. Instead, you guys proceeded to ignore me and let me sit there until I decided to leave. Once I decided to leave, a lady came out and was magically able to do my nails. The first time I went here, I had a really good experience. My shellac lasted 3 weeks without any kind of lifting or chipping. The ladies were nice and attentive. They even offer a student discount, so that's also a major plus. The price is reasonable to begin with, so that's even better. For that experience, I would give them 5/5. Now, for my most recent experience. I was a walk in, so I expected to wait. I'm okay with that. However, when they sat me down to soak off my previous shellac, my hands sat in a pure bowl of acetone for 15+ minutes. It dried out my nails, cuticles and hands... I'm still recovering. During that time, my nail tech didn't check on me because she was still working on someone else. I know that's normal, but leaving someone's skin in acetone that long is definitely not. Once I was done, the job looked alright. However, once I got outside into the light, I noticed she hadn't painted my entire thumb nail, there was indentations throughout so they didn't look smooth, and 3 days in I have multiple chips on multiple nails. Will I go back? Maybe but with major skepticism. read more

OMG. Y'all. Literally the BEST Mani/pedi in my life! I was able to walk in at 730 (yes I know, bootleg since they close at 8), but they dat me down and MyMy (Mimi), got right to work. She was meticulous and the foot massage?! Yo, our of this world. She spent a good 10 minutes just on THAT! I got a gel pedi and regular mani and it all coat $46! Reading many nail salon reviews I decided to go to Legacy this afternoon. There wasn't a receptionist but a lady doing nails told me to pick a color and sat me down. For a regular pedicure and acrylic nails it was $55 (not including tip) and took about 2 hours. The pedicurist took her time with cutting cuticles, massaging, though she quickly painted my toes. The job could of looked a little better but overall good pedicure. The lady who did my acrylics did a nice paint job, great shape, but my cuticles did not get the attention they needed. You can see in the picture I posted what I mean with the cuticles. Overall I give both jobs and the price a 3/5. I would go back here for acrylics though I would make sure the cuticles got the attention they deserved! read more

Came here for a gel mani pedi and the staff was nice! I also liked their selection of shellac polish. However, the polish work is okay. My nails do not look clean and smooth as I like them. Perhaps it was the nail tech but I just wish they would've been more attentive. I also think the pedicure was a bit high for the norm. However, she soaked off my old set in acetone for way too long. I took them out Bc it's not safe for your nails if left for longer than suggested and she wanted me to stick them back in (no ma'am). I got the cobalt blue powder gel (not what I wanted and let her know but wasn't about to argue). It wasn't the best set and she didn't file near the nail bed well enough Bc it began to lift and wasn't smooth. I'm new to Lubbock so I'm slowly checking out different salons to find one that is enjoyable, the staff are friendly, and the prices affordable. This place definitely checks 2 out of 3 of those for me. I came in as a walk-in without an appointment, and I was attended immediately. Once I was seated for my pedicure, I was offered something to drink. Jen took great care of my feet, and she was a pleasure to talk to! My feet and toes look great. My only docked star is for the prices. If you want gel polish, the price will be nearly doubled for anything. That's something I won't be able to afford long term, so I'm going to continue trying to find the best price for now. However, the staff and service make the price worthwhile, so I might be back anyway! read more

I was on vacation visiting family and I came to get a gel mani and a pedi. It's been less than a week and the polish on my toes is coming off...that NEVER happens. I just noticed today that the tips of my nails are turning brown....They were a light pink color. I'm not sure if the product that was used is bad or what the deal is. I went to get my eyelashes done and the young technician with the long blonde hair did a horrific job on my eyelashes, I could not keep my eyes open, they were extremely itchy and they were painful. When i went back they said they were piled on, had too much gel and the left eye was longer than the other. When I went back not only did they not fix them she tried to just cut them which in my opinion is absurd!! They made them worse, so after a third time going back because they itched even more and were even more painful, they then attempted to remove the extensions and they not only failed to remove them properly I also had the loss of my original eyelashes due to them putting too much gel. Walked in an hour before closing for a mani and pedi, no gel polish. There was no one in the place other than workers. The gal proceeded to rush through my manicure and pedicure. When she finished filing and cleaning cuticle... I had to ask for the file and clippers to do myself. I allowed her to work in my pedi while I worked on my own nails. I'm visiting Lubbock from Dallas and all I can say is. Bad service here in Lubbock compared to Dallas and many other cities I've visited. I went to this salon because it was the only one open on Labor Day and when I called whoever answered the phone was kind and polite but the other workers there weren't too friendly. When I sat down, they brought me a bowl of acetone to soak my fingers in to take off my old nails instead of wrapping them in foil with a cotton ball which made my fingers dry out. They then drilled off the old powder. The old powder was stuck underneath my nails and all over my hand and they didn't clean it off. As the technician was doing my nails, she would drill against my skin which caused them to bleed and continue to hurt throughout the next few days. It didn't seem like they cared that my skin was bleeding or that underneath my nails were gross. The actual nails look good but around my nails where the cuticles are and down my fingers are terrible. The customer service and price was good but when I'm getting my nails done I want the quality to be as good too. read more

So I'm a dude that gets pedicures....weird for many I'm sure. The price here was decent however 35.00 for 20 min pedicure not awesome. My wife was next to me she literally took twice as long as me. The salon is decent I think it just all depends on which nail person you get. The men seemed to take much more time. I went here because it had great reviews. While the place was nice and the technicians friendly, I wanted a full set of dip nails and the lady talked me into getting acrylic. She said acrylic holds up better if you get tips, and I had only ever done dip over my natural nails before, so I went along with it. I just wanted long nails again! Well, the acrylic was so thick, I had to file my nails down myself and repaint them when I got home. They also started lifting and chipping around the base of my nails after less than 2 weeks (the ends were fine), and 2 had popped off by week 3. I tried a different place for my fill-in at just 3 weeks (I usually go 4) and it was recommended I just get a brand new set. The new set lasted 4 weeks without any lifting or chipping of any sort. I will not be back to Legacy for my nails in the future. read more
