Tea tasting counter. The wall of teas.
    Matthew A.

When you walk into this store, you immediately feel a peacefulness, and the tea lady happily shows you around the store to help you find your teas. I have been here many times and the vibes are just amazing every time! My friend and I had so much fun on our recent trip here and we picked out a few teas to taste and a few to take home. It was a wonderful experience as always.

My experience at Serenity Mom Tea was very enjoyable not to mention the time the very kind lady offered to answer all my questions and explain every single tea I inquired about. I bought a Green Tea with coconut milk and it was delicious along with the yummy boba which she explained how she coats it with brown sugar taking her time cooking it herself. I could tell the difference in her boba from the other boba I've tasted at many other Tea shops, not too sweet at all. She also showed me the proper way to stir the boba into the tea before consumption, I really enjoyed the taste. I bought the reasonably priced single Medicinal tea bags ranging from Headache,Diabetes, Weight Loss and the list continues. I loved how you can smell each and every loose leaf tea she sells in her Beautiful and inviting store. I will definitely visit and purchase from this store on a regular basis.

A very interesting tea shop that sells a variety of herbal and medicinal tea blends. The owner is very nice, and will tell you everything you want to know about tea. I came to try the boba after my neighbor recommended it. To be honest, I was fairly disappointed by the boba. It was way to soft (overcooked) for my liking. I got a jasmine milk tea with boba. The tea is really good, the boba made it not as enjoyable. My friend tried the Spicy Chai and the Brown Sugar Black Tea, which was the worst. It tasted like medicine. I added a lot of milk at home to make it tolerable. Overall, I'd come back to pick up some loose tea. I'd also like to give the boba another try.

Awesome customer service! I walked in to get some tea as a gift and the woman working there was very kind. I got a black milk tea bubble tea as well and oh my- decadent. I ordered it not to sweet, it was definitely a treat, and the freshest boba I've ever had. Definitely worth a

As a die hard coffee drinker, loose leaf authentic tea is really pulling me to the other side. I am a huge supporter of supporting local businesses and this place is a must! The owner (im horrible with names, I wish I remembered) was super helpful and sweet. She's been open for many years. When I got there she was helping out a returning customer who drove all the way from Tacoma - that's when you know she's good. I told her I wanted something that tastes good, I'm not a tea expert just as long it's not Oprah's Tazo Chai (no shade). I ended up getting two bags of the the ginseng oolong and the milky oolong, along with individual packs of the beauty blend and inflammation blend. Everything I've tried so far is amazing. The ginseng really gives you a boost of caffeine. I left with my teas and information pages of how to steep and clean the tea. Super informational. They also offer tea tastings for $15 and boba! Located in Kent. Private parking lot.

Please take the time out of your day to stop by and support this small business. The owner is so knowledgeable about tea of all kinds and is so sweet and genuine. You can buy just about any type of loose leaf tea you can imagine. The boba is also amazing, don't forget the boba. You won't regret stopping by, if you do, that's a you problem.

You can skip the whipped cream, but highly recommend getting the freshly brewed milk tea with amazing brown sugar boba.

Really excellent tea and brown sugar boba. This is not a place to go for the crema (they don't have it; it's only whipped cream) or other toppings. You come here for the tea: for legitimate, excellent, flavorful tea. And also the boba. I don't even normally like boba. I tend to get my milk teas without it. But not here. Mako's boba is the perfect texture and she serves it slightly warm, which is perfect. My favorite thing to get here - which I've had so many times now I've lost count and I can walk in and ask for my "usual" - is the jasmine green milk tea, no ice, no added sugar, with boba. It's my dessert for the day. I finish about half of it during lunch and then finish the rest in the afternoon. Each cup is filled OVER the brim - the lid is what barely contains the generous amount of tea. I told my office about it and everyone got tea one day. It was a little difficult to transport the 8+ teas because the cups are all so full, but EVERYONE, and I mean every single person raved to me about it. Also the service here is so warm. Mako always seems so happy to make a drink. When I mentioned to Mako that my child loves the boba, she gave me an extra serving in a seperate cup, so that it wouldn't have any caffeine. I want to come back to do a tea tasting because the shop smells so good.

She has some of the best boba tea I've ever had!! I wish I could go more but I moved I will be there soon to get my brown sugar black tea boba

Recently I tried a holiday drink Crema Thai Tea Cookie Latte with brown sugar - it's 4 out of 5 stars for me. The cookie butter is stronger than the Thai tea taste, an interesting combo. And as always, brown sugar boba is the best. However, the drink itself cost $10.95, and with the addition of brown.sugar boba, I ended up paying $12. So MissBoba is definitely an occasional treat for my wallet. Service is always great, they always ask for sweetness level adjustment and tell you to mix the drinks well. Inside isn't too big, and gets quite crowded when it's busy, especially when the line is out the door. Also, love that they host pop-ups of donuts and other baked goods throughout the year. When I walk in here, I feel like I'm inside a warehouse or large parking garage, solely because of the large door near the entrance to this place. Inside, it's blasting K-pop music, and has some tables to sit at. There's also some arcade machines and a photo booth. You order your drinks up at the counter using their kiosks, and they have a bunch of uniquely named drinks like their other location in Cap Hill, with some that are simply just strawberry matcha and mango matcha drinks, though this does keep in line with what a ton of people are crazily lining up for in this day and age (including myself). Since I simply got my drink and sat with my friend, I don't have anything to mention about service here. I got their No. 5 Elixir, which is a mixture of charcoal mango lemonade and a lot of mango bits. First and foremost, I'm happy that it didn't stain my teeth as I drank it, haha. But more importantly, it's sweet and tangy and was very refreshing even though weather was somewhat gloomy when I went. This is a very chill place to hang out at, and I can see myself coming here for a quick designer drink/blend. As of this writing, I still haven't tried all their stuff yet!

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #105…read more I first visited a Tra Viet location in Vegas, not expecting it to be a small chain originating in Washington! On the drive up back from Portland recently, we decided to stop by the original location (and only stand-alone store left in Washington) in Renton, down near the Boeing factory. This boba shop is known for serving drinks in essentially soda cans, complete with pop top. It's a unique concept, but it also means that value is less than competitors since the drink size is much smaller. Still, the quality is pretty high, at least enough to get us to visit based on what we ordered at the Las Vegas location. We ordered two drinks on our visit: Classic Milk Tea w/ Boba ($7.25) - No adjustments are allowed in this drink. The drink has a surprisingly strong malty flavor that pairs with the creamer nicely, delivering a thick and enjoyable experience. I believe the drink is premixed, which is why sweetness adjustments aren't allowed. Unfortunately it is too sweet for my tastes, especially since the boba soak adds even more sugar to the mixture. The ice levels, even at 100%, isn't too much. They use crushed ice that's easier to melt. The boba is of the mini variety, soaked well in syrup. They are actually cooked perfectly for this particular variety - great consistent chew and bounce on each tiny little pearl. I normally prefer full sized boba, but this one is very nice. I think their recipe can only use the mini boba - with the normal size boba at this texture, I would probably call it too firm, but it's perfect for the mini. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 5/5 Jasmine Milk Tea, Less Sweet w/ Boba ($7.25) - This milk tea is very perfume-like with plenty of jasmine flower flavor. With the less sweet option, it's around 50% sweet compared to other shops, which matches up with my tastes. Again, it has good body but no dairy flavor. Overall a solid drink. We actually drank this about 2 hours after the Classic Milk Tea and somehow the boba was exactly the same texture. Usually the pearls start hardening up, but this was still perfect! Milk Tea Rating: 5/5 Boba Rating: 5/5 Usually places like this which focus on gimmicks don't exactly serve the best drinks. Tra Viet seems to be an exception. I'd be happy to return any time I'm down in Renton! Bathrooms - I didn't see any in store, but I also didn't ask the bobarista for availability.

The second drink we tried was the matcha latte. This drink tasted like something we could make at home. The service was okay. The worker was nice but it seemed like they didn't want to be there. We were greeted with hospitality as well. The server was more like minding their business. Also, they served my drink with the brown sugar sauce partially on my cup, which made my hands sticky. I felt like my hands were sticky throughout the night, no matter how many times I cleaned it. The best quality of this boba shop is their ambiance. Very nicely decorated with good lighting. The environment was neat and gave a nice vibey feeling. This would be a chill place to hangout with your friends to get a drink. However, the quality of the drink and service isn't good enough to get me back here.
