Calming atmosphere and delicious tea! It's like a tea heaven in there, with a very gracious and kind host. She kindly explained to me that you don't drink the first steep, because you gotta wash your tea the way you wash your veggies :) I bought a vanilla oolong and brewed it at home, added sugar and milk, and after one sip, I'm transported to a comforting place. Definitely coming back here for a tea tasting ($25) or to try their boba drinks. Highly recommend making the trip out here to find this little shop because these types of places are very lovely and rare. read more

This is small tea shop selling loose leaf teas, herbal tea blends, tea sets, and milk tea! The lady running the shop is so kind and helpful. She was available to answer any questions and was very knowledgable. I ordered the oolong milk tea with boba and it was delicious. The tea is made fresh and the tapioca balls were so soft. I'd highly recommend dropping by to try their tea drinks since the tea is made to order! read more

When you walk into this store, you immediately feel a peacefulness, and the tea lady happily shows you around the store to help you find your teas. I have been here many times and the vibes are just amazing every time! My friend and I had so much fun on our recent trip here and we picked out a few teas to taste and a few to take home. My experience at Serenity Mom Tea was very enjoyable not to mention the time the very kind lady offered to answer all my questions and explain every single tea I inquired about. I bought a Green Tea with coconut milk and it was delicious along with the yummy boba which she explained how she coats it with brown sugar taking her time cooking it herself. I could tell the difference in her boba from the other boba I've tasted at many other Tea shops, not too sweet at all. She also showed me the proper way to stir the boba into the tea before consumption, I really enjoyed the taste. I bought the reasonably priced single Medicinal tea bags ranging from Headache,Diabetes, Weight Loss and the list continues. I loved how you can smell each and every loose leaf tea she sells in her Beautiful and inviting store. I will definitely visit and purchase from this store on a regular basis. read more

A very interesting tea shop that sells a variety of herbal and medicinal tea blends. The owner is very nice, and will tell you everything you want to know about tea. I came to try the boba after my neighbor recommended it. To be honest, I was fairly disappointed by the boba. It was way to soft (overcooked) for my liking. I got a jasmine milk tea with boba. The tea is really good, the boba made it not as enjoyable. My friend tried the Spicy Chai and the Brown Sugar Black Tea, which was the worst. It tasted like medicine. I added a lot of milk at home to make it tolerable. Overall, I'd come back to pick up some loose tea. I'd also like to give the boba another try. read more

I love everything about Serenity Moon Tea. I'm looking forward to starting my tea tasting soon!!

I've been wanting to stop by this place for a while due to limited selection of tea at PCC, which is where I usually buy it. I met the owner, Mako, who is a warm and friendly person. I liked the selection of Black tea with samples for you to smell. I bought some Pu'er tea. I learned I'd been brewing green tea too long, which may be why I don't like it. I also bought green tea with mint to give it another try. I'll be back! The prices were competitive with an online tea store that I also buy tea from. read more

Did a tea tasting here and cannot recommend it enough!!! The owner is so knowledgable, passionate, and engaging. The tea is affordable, high quality, and delicious. read more

Awesome customer service! I walked in to get some tea as a gift and the woman working there was very kind. I got a black milk tea bubble tea as well and oh my- decadent. I ordered it not to sweet, it was definitely a treat, and the freshest boba I've ever had. Definitely worth a read more

As a die hard coffee drinker, loose leaf authentic tea is really pulling me to the other side. I am a huge supporter of supporting local businesses and this place is a must! The owner (im horrible with names, I wish I remembered) was super helpful and sweet. She's been open for many years. When I got there she was helping out a returning customer who drove all the way from Tacoma - that's when you know she's good. I told her I wanted something that tastes good, I'm not a tea expert just as long it's not Oprah's Tazo Chai (no shade). I ended up getting two bags of the the ginseng oolong and the milky oolong, along with individual packs of the beauty blend and inflammation blend. Everything I've tried so far is amazing. The ginseng really gives you a boost of caffeine. I left with my teas and information pages of how to steep and clean the tea. Super informational. They also offer tea tastings for $15 and boba! Located in Kent. Private parking lot. read more

I found Mako's tea shop in her previous location in Kent under a different name back in 2015 when I used to work nearby. Mako is wonderful and the organic teas are my favorite. Tea tastings with Mako are something special, which I have shared with family and friends. The customer service here is top notch and a very relaxing ambiance. I highly recommend and am already looking forward to my next order. Thank you, Mako! read more

I love Mako and her energy! She brings so much life into her shop, which already has beautiful style and an incredible tea selection. I usually get a hot Oolong Tea Latte with non-dairy creamer and boba, but this time I wanted a tea latte that tastes more like a dessert. She recommended her house special black tea latte with cinnamon and vanilla, and the first sip was such a delight! Tastes just like a warm cinnamon roll. I love how she offers hot milk tea with boba when most bubble tea places only have cold drinks and too much sugar. This will be my go-to place since I follow Traditional Chinese Medicine, which cautions to avoid drinking cold whenever possible. Thank you Mako for creating the boba tea shop of my dreams! read more

Please take the time out of your day to stop by and support this small business. The owner is so knowledgeable about tea of all kinds and is so sweet and genuine. Serenity Moon Tea - Boba Menu - Bubble Tea Near Me - Kent, Washington

Really excellent tea and brown sugar boba. This is not a place to go for the crema (they don't have it; it's only whipped cream) or other toppings. You come here for the tea: for legitimate, excellent, flavorful tea. And also the boba. I don't even normally like boba. I tend to get my milk teas without it. But not here. Mako's boba is the perfect texture and she serves it slightly warm, which is perfect. My favorite thing to get here - which I've had so many times now I've lost count and I can walk in and ask for my "usual" - is the jasmine green milk tea, no ice, no added sugar, with boba. It's my dessert for the day. I finish about half of it during lunch and then finish the rest in the afternoon. Each cup is filled OVER the brim - the lid is what barely contains the generous amount of tea. I told my office about it and everyone got tea one day. It was a little difficult to transport the 8+ teas because the cups are all so full, but EVERYONE, and I mean every single person raved to me about it. Also the service here is so warm. Mako always seems so happy to make a drink. When I mentioned to Mako that my child loves the boba, she gave me an extra serving in a seperate cup, so that it wouldn't have any caffeine. I want to come back to do a tea tasting because the shop smells so good. read more

Serenity Moon Tea - You can skip the whipped cream, but highly recommend getting the freshly brewed milk tea with amazing brown sugar boba. - Bubble Tea Near Me - Kent, Washington

Service here can't be beat- the lady is great, and wants to make sure you order what you really want and that you like it. She's pretty quick for being solo with bubble tea. The bubble tea is rich and flavorful- definitely a pop in the face! (Which I like, personally). No watery wimpy tea here. It's in a traditional cup (AKA not sealed) so it's a tad messy being mixed with a standard lid. The shop is cute as well, and you can wander while you wait looking at loose leaf teas and cool tea essentials. It's a very unassuming shop, but definitely worth a visit! read more

Came to Seattle to visit a friend and was craving something sweet after a night downtown. We happened upon this tea spot after looking through reviews on Yelp and were greatly surprised by the interior and ambiance of the tea shop. Mako, the owner was so sweet and very knowledgeable about anything tea. Not sure I would recommend her boba (bubbles), but the tea very delicious and Mako is accommodating to individual palates and tastes. If you want a break from drinking the syrup water that the other tea shops serve, I highly recommend coming to see Mako! :) read more

We walked in and the owner was immediately warm and welcoming. Great milk tea boba. The boba was perfect. Not too sweet and cooked perfectly. It's easy to order since the owner is so sweet. She makes you feel comfortable. Both mine and my husbands drinks were at least $2 cheaper than the other boba spots we've been trying. I got the mango medium blender with boba. It was more creamy and sweet than I like. I will choose another flavor next time as my husbands milk tea boba was really good. It's a small spot but it's good. If you are a boba fan go here. I don't think you will be disappointed. read more

Wow wow wow!! This small unassuming tea shop is truly a gem! Stopped in to try the bubble tea & browse the tea offerings, but stayed for several tea tastings after meeting the wonderful owner, Mako! Mako's Chinese tea ceremony is an experience that all tea drinkers should make time for here. It's a real masterclass in tea by a lifelong professional, you'll learn so much even if you think you know it all! Will be returning for more tastings, wisdom, & good company! **Tea tastings on weekdays are recommended due to the higher foot traffic on weekends since Mako is the only employee** Went back two days in a row for the bubble tea, tried both hot & cold, green & black milk teas with boba, does not need extra sweetener, it is perfection & they use real quality tea! They also make good icecream! Don't sleep on this tea shop, it's my new favorite spot! read more

Oh my! This was a cute spot. It is small...really small. Let's say 6 is a party. The interior was pretty dark and doesn't look inviting at all, but if you see passed that then you will be amazed with the different types of teas. I'm not much of a tea person but my sister is and we came here to check out some of their loose leaf teas and it was a nice surprise. The owner had an amazing assortment of loose leaves tea combination, each with different benefits to target some of your concerns. I purchased a tea set for a baby shower prize The Lucky Cat. The owner of the store was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She was very passionate in sharing her knowledge with us. She has a tea tasting available, however, she did state that Sundays are the best time to do tastings since she dedicates that day to tasting. Tip: She also shared that you should "clean" your tea leaves prior to drinking it. How do you clean tea leaves? I gotchu! Place your tea leaves in your strainer/infuser/steeper place it in your cup and add boiling water (depending on the type of tea the temp of boiling water matters) just above your steeper. You don't need to fill the whole cup. Just enough to cover the tea leaves and let it swoosh around for about 5-10 seconds. Then you will remove your tea leaves and empty your cup. Not only does this help "clean" your tea leaves but it also helps bloom it for a better tasting experience. Do I notice a difference? Idk bc I've never drank loose leaves tea before then. read more

Serenity Moon Tea is unlike any other tea store I have ever been in - not only is it a beautiful establishment with a wide variety of teas, but the owner, Mako, is kind, enthusiastic, and among the most knowledgeable people I have ever spoken to on the matter. Not only does she truly care about her teas, but she cares about each person who walks through her door. I sat down to do a tea tasting with her and she spent well over an hour with me, giving time, patience, space, and she taught me more than I have ever learned in my near 15 years of tea obsession. This place is a gem - if you love tea, you need to go to this place! read more

This kind of place is rare these days. I just moved here, and when I stepped inside this tea shop, I knew I would go here a lot! The last time I saw a place like this was in Brooklyn. Giant jars of authentic tea leave on the shelves, tea sets, little jars for you to smell the tea essence... what a treat! Not to mention, you get to hear stories about tea. The customers who walk in just adore this little tea shop. Most of them have been going here for over 8-10 years! That says a lot about the place! Lately, I've been stopping by after work to get a delicious chai boba hot tea with a hint of black tea and ginger! Yum! I never even knew boba could be served hot! I am hooked! This is definitely one of the hidden gems here in Kent! You gotta check it out! read more

When my best friend was in town she had found this place as one of our 'mini adventures' and it was one of the best little shops to come across! We did a tea tasting where we learned so much from the owner about how to properly brew tea and a lot of the history! The tea selection is amazing as we brought home many, many bags of it and have loved every single one. I also managed to convince myself to try the bubble tea and genuinely it was one of the best ones I've ever had. This shop has become beloved in my home and I will be returning for many years to come! read more

Stopped in on a recommendation from a co-worker and it was initially quite overwhelming with an entire wall of tea to choose from. The owner, Mako, made time to educate me on the different types and flavor of tea and made recommendations based on a few questions she asked me. I ended up choosing an Early Grey black tea and a green tea which I forgot the name of... I had a (green) tea tasting session with Mako and discovered how to make green tea not bitter... it's actually more effort than I'd prefer to do on a normal basis, but when steeped correctly, there's good flavor. I haven't tried her boba drinks yet, but next time I stop in for some more loose leaf, I'll order something. Speaking with Mako, you can tell she has a passion and knowledge for everything tea; I'll be back for a refill soon. read more

Had a great time with a traditional Chinese tea tasting. Then, I enjoyed a delicious bobble tea afterwards.

I was in town with some friends, and decided to take a solo trip here for some loose leaf tea. Visiting has honestly been the highlight of my trip! I did the tea tasting, where the owner personally brews you a few different teas and teaches you exactly how to do it. She is very knowledgeable about the depth and flavor -- and how to bring that out in your brew! She personally curated the tea that she sells, and it is of the upmost quality. I will definitely be buying my tea here from now on! read more

Hidden gem alert! Doesnt look like anything special on the outside, but once you step in, you're transported to another world of all sorts of tea delights. This shop features an incredible selection of loose leaf tea, bubble tea, and ice cream. The owner is so kind and sweet! She asked how sweet we wanted our smoothie style drinks, huge bonus there - often times I find milk tea and bubble tea smoothies far too sweet but this was perfect. I got a honeydew smoothie with boba. Boba were warm, lightly sweet and perfectly chewy. I was very impressed and wish I lived closer to this gem! read more

The owner is a nice lady. I bought a tea set recently, it was the last in stock and was actually the display one she used for the store. It was very dusty and needed to be cleaned thoroughly before using it. It would've been nice to have had a open box discount or at least some tea leaves, as I helped her packed the package as well. But other than that she was very pleasant and easy to talk to. Will definitely come by again for some tea. read more

This is only based on the iced mill tea with boba. I was in the hood since my hubby had an appointment and although I was craving Sharetea, I found this one with decent reviews, plus I was already in Kent. It's a traditional tea shop, probably not a place u go to when craving bubble tea. Lady was nice but I didn't like my drink. It tasted nothing like milk tea, I was trying to figure out if it was soy milk versus cow milk. The boba was also on the harder side. Anyway, if u r looking for variety of tea this seems to be place but not milk tea. read more

Small tea shop in Kent that is big on selection and personality. It used to be located a block away under a different name but is now Serenity Moon Tea. When you walk in there is an overwhelming selection of teas. Most are discreet teas but there are also some of the pre packaged teas as well. All of the teas are available to smell and if you would like you can have a complimentary tea sampling right there in the store. The owner is very personable and will help you navigate the plethora or teas. They also have a decent selection of Asian tea serving sets for sale as well as personal tea servers that are handy to have for tea at home or at the office. I never really knew this place existed and I'm so happy that it does. It's a tea shop WITH bubble tea and it's only 5 minutes away from my house. I really feel as if I hit the jackpot with this one. I've only tried bubble tea from here so far and it was amazing. Probably one of the best bubble tea places I've tried. There are many many flavors to choose from, different milks to pick, and even a selection of base tea. Something I really liked was that she ask you how blended you want it, wether it be really milky or very slushy. I got mine in the middle and it was perfect. The tapioca balls are really really tasty too, they're the perfect amount of sweetness and they are really soft, just how I like them.
