I came to try the boba after my neighbor recommended it. To be honest, I was fairly disappointed by the boba. It was way to soft (overcooked) for my liking. I got a jasmine milk tea with boba. The tea is really good, the boba made it not as enjoyable. My friend tried the Spicy Chai and the Brown Sugar Black Tea, which was the worst. It tasted like medicine. The owner (im horrible with names, I wish I remembered) was super helpful and sweet. She's been open for many years. When I got there she was helping out a returning customer who drove all the way from Tacoma - that's when you know she's good. I told her I wanted something that tastes good, I'm not a tea expert just as long it's not Oprah's Tazo Chai (no shade). I ended up getting two bags of the the ginseng oolong and the milky oolong, along with individual packs of the beauty blend and inflammation blend. Everything I've tried so far is amazing. I love Mako and her energy! She brings so much life into her shop, which already has beautiful style and an incredible tea selection. I usually get a hot Oolong Tea Latte with non-dairy creamer and boba, but this time I wanted a tea latte that tastes more like a dessert. Really excellent tea and brown sugar boba. This is not a place to go for the crema (they don't have it; it's only whipped cream) or other toppings. You come here for the tea: for legitimate, excellent, flavorful tea. And also the boba. I don't even normally like boba. I tend to get my milk teas without it. But not here. Mako's boba is the perfect texture and she serves it slightly warm, which is perfect. My favorite thing to get here - which I've had so many times now I've lost count and I can walk in and ask for my "usual" - is the jasmine green milk tea, no ice, no added sugar, with boba. It's my dessert for the day. I finish about half of it during lunch and then finish the rest in the afternoon. Each cup is filled OVER the brim - the lid is what barely contains the generous amount of tea. I told my office about it and everyone got tea one day. It was a little difficult to transport the 8+ teas because the cups are all so full, but EVERYONE, and I mean every single person raved to me about it. Also the service here is so warm. Mako always seems so happy to make a drink. When I mentioned to Mako that my child loves the boba, she gave me an extra serving in a seperate cup, so that it wouldn't have any caffeine. The owner had an amazing assortment of loose leaves tea combination, each with different benefits to target some of your concerns. I purchased a tea set for a baby shower prize The Lucky Cat. The owner of the store was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She was very passionate in sharing her knowledge with us. She has a tea tasting available, however, she did state that Sundays are the best time to do tastings since she dedicates that day to tasting. Tip: She also shared that you should "clean" your tea leaves prior to drinking it. How do you clean tea leaves? I gotchu! Place your tea leaves in your strainer/infuser/steeper place it in your cup and add boiling water (depending on the type of tea the temp of boiling water matters) just above your steeper. You don't need to fill the whole cup. Just enough to cover the tea leaves and let it swoosh around for about 5-10 seconds. Then you will remove your tea leaves and empty your cup. Not only does this help "clean" your tea leaves but it also helps bloom it for a better tasting experience. Do I notice a difference? Idk bc I've never drank loose leaves tea before then. read more

When my best friend was in town she had found this place as one of our 'mini adventures' and it was one of the best little shops to come across! We did a tea tasting where we learned so much from the owner about how to properly brew tea and a lot of the history! The tea selection is amazing as we brought home many, many bags of it and have loved every single one. The owner, Mako, made time to educate me on the different types and flavor of tea and made recommendations based on a few questions she asked me. I ended up choosing an Early Grey black tea and a green tea which I forgot the name of... I had a (green) tea tasting session with Mako and discovered how to make green tea not bitter... it's actually more effort than I'd prefer to do on a normal basis, but when steeped correctly, there's good flavor. When you walk in there is an overwhelming selection of teas. Most are discreet teas but there are also some of the pre packaged teas as well. All of the teas are available to smell and if you would like you can have a complimentary tea sampling right there in the store. The owner is very personable and will help you navigate the plethora or teas. They also have a decent selection of Asian tea serving sets for sale as well as personal tea servers that are handy to have for tea at home or at the office. The only thing that you have to overlook is the strip mall that the shop is in is not the best. I never really knew this place existed and I'm so happy that it does. It's a tea shop WITH bubble tea and it's only 5 minutes away from my house. I really feel as if I hit the jackpot with this one. I've only tried bubble tea from here so far and it was amazing. Probably one of the best bubble tea places I've tried. There are many many flavors to choose from, different milks to pick, and even a selection of base tea. Something I really liked was that she ask you how blended you want it, wether it be really milky or very slushy. I got mine in the middle and it was perfect.
