I had an outstanding experience with Serenity EV Tesla Repair Center, owned by Justin and Jonathan. After my Tesla had to be towed to a Tesla dealership due to an issue where the motor would rev but deliver no torque to the wheels, Tesla quoted me nearly $15,000 to replace the motor outright. Given that my vehicle is over 13 years old, I simply couldn't justify that expense and genuinely thought I might have to junk the car. After doing some online research, I came across Serenity EV and decided to give them a call. From the very first conversation, it was clear that Justin and Jonathan truly know Tesla inside and out. After I explained the symptoms, Jonathan initially mentioned that a motor replacement might be necessary--but even then, their estimate was less than half of what Tesla quoted. Once they had the car in their shop and completed a full diagnosis, Jonathan called me with even better news: the motor didn't need to be replaced at all. They were able to repair the motor using parts they already had in-house, bringing the total cost down to just $1,200. Going from a non-negotiable $15K dealer quote to a fully functional vehicle for $1,200 was incredible. Wow...that's all I can say. I had an out of warranty AC issue with my Tesla and the service center had 54 day wait times and then quoted me $3400. I knew that wasn't right and at the recommendation of someone I went to Serenity EV's website and chatted with them about my quote and what was the likely issue. They were able to see me that day and fix the issue. But fixing the issue isn't the main thing that impressed me. They were very clear, showed me the parts, explained the process to me, and (most importantly to me) worked their way up from least expensive solution to what was needed. The dealer does the exact opposite. They work from most expensive. This saved me a ton of money and created a customer for as long as I own EVs. These guys are the place to go if you need work done on your EV. Straight forward, honest, and fair with their pricing. I have an issue with a Tesla I recently purchased with it showing offline. They first attempted to help me over the phone to just see if I could resolve it myself without needing to go to their shop. Unfortunately, I was not able to resolve myself. I was able to bring it in same day, they started looking into the issue immediately, and topped off coolant for me. In the end, the fix is gatekept by Tesla so I'll need to take it there for the fix. SerenityEV spent around 45 minutes diagnosing, topped off coolant, and sent me on my way without taking a dime since they unfortunately couldn't resolve. They'll have all my EV repair business in the future regardless of what the repair is. No attempts to upsell BS you don't need like a dealer does, less than half the price for diagnosis compared to Tesla, and all around good guys that run the place read more

Their fix was to replace basically everything for $4k. We decided to work with John because of his approach to pinpoint the issue and replace only what was needed. I just wanted to share my experience with Serenity EV. I reached out to them a few days ago regarding an issue with my 2018 Model 3 where I would exit the vehicle and the car would remain on. I sent John (owner and operator of Serenity EV an email stating what was going on and he replied back right away asking to do a remote diag. Long story short, he assumed it was my occupancy sensor causing the vehicle to not know if I was seated or not at times. I stopped by his shop, he was super welcoming and we chatted about how long he's been in the industry etc. plugged in my car and told me to go buy the occupancy sensor from Tesla ($12 only!!!). I picked up the parts and drove right back to him. He wasted no time and pulled out the seat and installed the new sensor. Issue is resolved. John at Serenity EV is an EXCELLENT option if you don't want to deal with the cruddy dealer experience. He actually cares about your car and goes in depth to explain what he's doing and why he's doing each step. He's not afraid to take you into his shop and show you in person what you're dealing with. Superb customer service and even more superb knowledge. If you want a 10/10 customer service experience, quick turn-around, and personalized experience with your Tesla, please support his business. I recently took my 2015 MS to John at Serenity EV for some front end noise, and I can't recommend him highly enough! We all know Tesla service is not as it should be and John went out of his way to take good care of me. He met me at his shop way after his closing hours and quickly figured out what the problem was. I would highly recommend this shop for EVs that are out of warranty. I had some work done by them on May 3, 2024, and am very pleased. It's a nice clean location with a large waiting room and nice clean bathrooms. There's a small room just for children. The owners worked for Tesla and Vivian. They even plug in/charge your EV while they're working on it. Johnathan spent a lot of time with me, inspecting and test-driving my car. While cruising through Facebook I landed on Johnathan at Serenity EV posts helping EV owners repair questions. Having ignored a DC charging issue for 2 years (Tesla SC wanted a pretty penny) I asked Johnathan his thoughts. He took the time to talk on the phone then meet me at a SC, diagnosed quickly the issue and resolved it. Charges perfectly (one third the cost) Separately, he found a coolant flow issue and noticed something wasn't right. After double and triple checking his work he discovered where the problem was and fixed it...again significantly less than TSC would have been. So not only did I get my supercharging back, he probably saved me from an issue that would have stranded me somewhere with a fried FDU and a $6k bill at Tesla. Can't thank serenity EV and Johnathan enough for treating me like family, striving for fair compensation, explaining everything along the way, figuring out a complicated issue and keeping a great attitude throughout.
