Tried calling today to ask some questions about a vehicle we were looking to get diagnosed and perhaps serviced here. A woman answered the call and before I was able to even ask the question she said "if you have already been in there replacing parts we don't want to get involved." She wouldn't even let me finish my explanation. Worst customer service we have had and we have called several shops recently and were not met with any of this treatment. We are only continuing a search for shops because most we called were busy for the week so we continued to see about other shops. Will never recommend this shop to anyone if you can't even get a chance to ask a question. read more

First let me rate the service...absolutely top quality! Here is the kicker...they smile, they talk to you as a friend and give you their best recommendation. Robert's analysis of the rattle in the rear suspension was spot on. They communicate...actually call you with an estimate before they work on the issue. When I dropped off my car in for a repair of a burning rubber smell, I was expecting to wait several days for an estimate. To my surprise, Gwyneth called me within 2 hours with the estimate. When I told her to proceed, I was expecting to not have the car ready for at least a week. To my surprise, the car was ready the next day and the bill was right as I was quoted. Reliable, fast, friendly, honest people and service. I desperately needed my cats done in order to pass emissions for my registration renewel and upon reviewing my car for an estimate. I was pleasantly surprised at how fair the quote was. Especially since they also offered to change my oil along with it (included in the price). All this needing to be done in a time crunch during the holidays due to a court date a police officer gifted me. Well long story short. Excellent place to have your car cared for if you want a friendly, honest business. We have taken our cars to Robert's for most of the 15 years they have been open. Oil changes are quick. This has to be the most honest and reliable shop around. I live in the southwest valley and drive all the way here, just to get my car serviced. I had the dealer try to charge me $1200 for a new computer system in my car, I brought it to this place and he was able to troubleshoot the problem to a loose wire. He didn't even charge me to fix it. Since then I have brought my car to this place and would recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for an honest mechanic. So far I have had to replace a hose for power steering. They also was able to find the replacement part cheaper than I could get anywhere else. The only down side is they dont have a fancy lobby if you have to wait for your car. I would recommend someone picking you up. read more

Had diagnostic done they said it would be $50.00 for them to tell me what was wrong with my car unfortunately I didnt have it fixed at the shop so I went to pick up my car and they waived the $50.00 fee very nice customer service and kept me up to date with my car. I sent an email from the website a couple months ago. I never received any response to my simple question. Today I called to ask the same question and was told by Rob's wife that I had to bring my car in. In most cases I would understand that but this was a simple question of have you ever heard of this before? Again I was told I had to bring my car in. I said I could not because it does not run and was told to have it towed. My father was very loyal to Rob and Youngtown Car Care. This time I needed a major repair done on my 2001 Chrysler van. My rack and pinion was leaking badly on both sides. Everything I found online said the repairs could be anywhere from 900-1500 dollars. Well I took it to Youngtown Car Care because of the great work they did on my Honda recently. When all was said and done, the bill was just over $750 which was much lower than I was expecting. The van runs great now with out all the shaking and it does not pull to the right any longer. The owners are great and they do excellent work. I recommend them to all my friends and I will continue to bring them all of my business. read more

After winning a free oil change at the car show in SCW, I called to set up an appointment and had read the reviews. Needless to say I was impressed. And I mean WAS! The attitude I received on the phone by just asking simple questions like hours and if they were open on weekends. I seemed to offend the VERY RUDE women whom answered the. So closed on weekends, and they are open 8-5 but will not do something as simple as a oil change after 1pm. If its going to take 4 hours for a simple oil change. Ill do it myself, geese lady. My husband and I learned of Youngtown Car Care through work as this is where our company takes their vehicles. We started taking our own personal vehicles over to Robert and he has ALWAYS been honest and has done an excellent job on both our car and truck. My husband had a 1990 Ford that was in great body condition, but needed work to keep it running, but Robert let us know upfront that he could keep working on it, but that it would not be worth it to us.
